Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Sends Congratulatory Message to Comrade Xi Jinping, General Secretary of Central Committee of CPC and President of PRC
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, sent a congratulatory message to Comrade Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and President of the People’s Republic of China, on July 1.
The message said:
Esteemed Comrade General Secretary,
I, on behalf of all the members of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the Korean people and on my own behalf, extend warm congratulations to you and, through you, to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and all its members and the fraternal Chinese people on the occasion of the 105th founding anniversary of the CPC.
The Communist Party of China built new China, where the people became the masters, by guiding them, and wrote a brilliant chapter in the history of the Chinese nation by vigorously promoting the cause of socialism with the Chinese characteristics, braving all trials and difficulties of history.
There is no new China without Communist Party. This is the truth the Chinese people have realized while advancing under its guidance for many years.
I am convinced that the Chinese people will continue to achieve excellent successes in the struggle to comprehensively build a modern and powerful socialist country and attain the second century goal under the leadership of the CPC with you as its core.
It is the steadfast stand of our Party and government to steadily develop the DPRK-China friendly relations with long and historical roots and with socialism as their core.
The recent Pyongyang summit was a historic occasion of deepening the comradely friendship and trust between us and re-confirming the unshakable will to more dynamically promote socialist construction in the two countries and their traditional friendly relations.
The absolute superiority of the relations between the two countries is firmly guaranteed by the leadership of the parties.
I am ready to add brilliance to socialism, the common cause of the two parties, and continue to develop the DPRK-China friendly and cooperative relations, the common wealth of the peoples of the two countries, as required by the times, together with you.
I wish you good health and greater success in your responsible work.
I sincerely hope that the People's Republic of China will be prosperous and the Chinese people happy under the leadership of the CPC.
Flower Basket from Central Committee of WPK to Central Committee of CPC
The Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea sent a flower basket to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on the occasion of the 105th founding anniversary of the CPC.
The DPRK ambassador to China conveyed the flower basket from the WPK Central Committee to a leading official of the International Liaison Department of the CPC Central Committee.
Written on the ribbon of the flower basket were letters “Congratulations on the 105th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of China”.
A flower basket in the name of the DPRK embassy in Beijing was also conveyed.
Economic Growth and Strategy for Readjustment and Reinforcement
Over the past five years the DPRK fulfilled its five-year plan for national economic development in the main and achieved sustainable growth and development of the overall national economy.
The organic ties were strengthened among key industrial sectors that form the lifeline of the self-supporting economy, and efforts were steadily exerted to improve the people’s living standards, with the result that GDP has remarkably increased.
This success is ascribed to the economic strategy of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
When the Party advanced the strategy, the harshest subjective and objective situation since its founding was prevailing in the country. The frantic attempts of the hostile forces to deprive it of its right to existence and development and the unexpected threats like global health crisis posed serious obstacles to its development.
To cope with all this, the WPK at its Eighth Congress in January 2021 put forward the readjustment and reinforcement strategy, which was the most scientific and wisest plan for achieving the development of the overall national economy by dint of self-reliance.
According to the strategy, the country launched undertakings to reconstruct, reinforce and develop all the economic sectors technically so as to perfect the independent production structure and shore up backward sectors.
The Cabinet, the State Planning Commission and other economic guidance organs worked to provide industrial establishments with conditions necessary for production and management activities.
Amid the redoubled nationwide efforts for regularizing production in all the economic sectors, the metallurgical industry sector perfected more than ever production lines in the Juche-based iron-making bases while the chemical industry sector made great progress in the establishment of technical processes, expansion of production capacities and fertilizer production.
The machine-building industry sector produced machines and equipment necessary for developing economic sectors and implementing the rural revolution programme in the new era and new regional development policy, thereby actively propelling the development of the overall national economy.
The electric power industry sector maintained trend of fast growth while expanding the scope of development and the coal-mining industry sector satisfactorily met the demand of various economic sectors for coal by conducting a movement for increased production.
The mining industry sector attained the goals of non-ferrous and non-metal minerals production and reinforced and expanded its overall production foundation, laying a solid springboard for the overall national economy to enter the next stage of development.
The light-industry sector newly built or renovated many production bases, which led to the growth of the existing production capacity.
Having more keenly realized the validity of the line of building a self-sufficient economy through their struggle to implement the WPK’s economic strategy, the Korean people are now vigorously advancing along the road to the comprehensive development of the country upholding the banner of self-reliance and self-sufficiency as indicated by the WPK’s Ninth Congress in February 2026.
