Inauguration Ceremony of Memorial Museum of Combat Feats at Overseas Military Operations Solemnly Held
Pyongyang, April 27 (KCNA) -- The magnificent memorial museum of combat feats was erected in the best place of the capital city to praise the great heroic spirit of the brave Korean People's Army soldiers involved in overseas military operations who created the legend of miraculous victory unprecedented in history with ardent patriotism and loyalty to defend the sacred prestige and dignity of the DPRK.
The immortal edifice, which will convey forever the ideological and moral superiority, popular heroism and unrivalled bravery peculiar to the KPA displayed in the special military operations to liberate Kursk Region of the fraternal Russian Federation with the sacred mission and duty, is a symbol of the most righteous people and the strongest army of the DPRK and a great monument giving eternal vitality to the development of the DPRK-Russia relations forged and being consolidated at the cost of blood.
Comrade Kim Jong Un has put on the highest place of glory the excellent sons of the country who performed immortal exploits before the times and history and the generations to come with their noble sacrifices and heroic military feats. He energetically led the whole construction course of the memorial museum from its design and construction work to the arrangement of contents of combat feats and the creation of symbolic memorials so that the names and images of the war martyrs can shine forever as a group of eternal stars.
The monumental edifice, which shows the traces of life in battlefields and remarkable military achievements, made by the officers and soldiers of KPA overseas operation units, and their passionate pulsation and noble soul through the highest architecture and careful artistic portrayal, is associated with the boundless sincerity, reverence and noble moral obligation of our Party and government and our people and service personnel for the brave war soldiers, and it represents the heroism of our times and the invincibility of our cause.
An inauguration ceremony of the Memorial Museum of Combat Feats at the Overseas Military Operations was solemnly held on April 26, the first anniversary of the conclusion of the operations to liberate Kursk of the Russian Federation.
Pervading the ceremony venue were deep respect for and remembrance of the heroic war soldiers who had been unfailingly faithful to the orders of the country and dedicated their lives without hesitation to the dignity and honor of our great state.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, attended the inauguration ceremony.
Present there were Jo Yong Won, Jo Chun Ryong, No Kwang Chol, and other senior Party, government and military officials, commanders of the KPA large combined units, officers and men of the overseas operations units and engineering unit, the bereaved families of the war martyrs, leading officials of the ministries and national agencies, the soldier-builders and creators who contributed to the construction of the museum, students of revolutionary schools, youth and students and citizens of Pyongyang.
Attending the ceremony were also Vyacheslav Volodin, speaker of the State Duma, Andrei Beloussov, minister of Defense, and other members of the official delegation of the Russian Federation and staff members of the Russian embassy here.
When Comrade Kim Jong Un arrived at the venue of the inauguration ceremony, all the participants broke into cheers of emotion, looking up to him, the peerlessly illustrious commander and great father who has trained the KPA into a politico-ideologically strong army without parallel in the world and into an invincible revolutionary army winning every battle and puts the lives of the heroic soldiers on the highest place of immortality with his noblest love and obligation.
Comrade Kim Jong Un met brigade and battalion commanders of the overseas military operations units who participated in the inauguration ceremony of the Memorial Museum of Combat Feats at the Overseas Military Operations.
He gave warm militant encouragement to all the commanding officers of the overseas operations units who fully demonstrated the outstanding fighting spirit and bravery peculiar to the KPA through skillful combat command and made contributions to glorifying the mightiness and inviolable authority of our state.
Looking up to Comrade Kim Jong Un embracing every one of the reliable commanding officers who advanced through the fierce gunfire in the van and giving warm paternal affection, the participants extended enthusiastic applauses.
The national anthems of the Russian Federation and the DPRK were played.
Comrade Kim Jong Un made a significant speech in commemoration of the inauguration.
Expressing his deep emotion to have the inauguration ceremony of the Memorial Museum of Combat Feats at the Overseas Military Operations erected by the wish of all the KPA service personnel and the ardent desire and sincerity of the people across the country, he extended heartfelt thanks on behalf of the Party and the government to the officers and men of the construction units at all levels, officials of the relevant organs and creators who devoted their all efforts and wisdom to the construction of the museum.
He referred to the strategic significance of the operations for liberating Kursk, in which the armies of the DPRK and Russia faithful to the ideal of justice fought shoulder to shoulder in the same trench for peace and sovereignty, and to the unrivalled bravery, mass heroism, indomitable fighting spirit and noble sacrifice displayed by the DPRK people's excellent sons in the bloody battles to set a model of the militant fraternity.
He said that the overseas military operations of the KPA were the ones without parallel in history as they were conducted by the servicepersons who implemented the orders of the Party and the country with their own conscience and moral rights, the most sincere and beautiful persons who burned their hearts with pure loyalty and went beyond the limits with their infinite vitality, adding that today's inauguration ceremony will be recorded in the history as the one that gave absolute immutability to the dignity and reputation of our state.
He affirmed that the Memorial Museum of Combat Feats at the Overseas Military Operations will shine all over the world and the martyrs be immortal in its bright rays, along with the biographies of defense written with the sacred sense of mission and toughness. Then he declared the inauguration of the museum, sincerely wishing that the precious life of the great servicepersons would shine forever.
All the participants kept in mind with great emotion that the noble spirit and mettle of the martyrs would be immortal enjoying the respect of rising generations thanks to the benevolent care of the great leader ensuring that the images and names of the martyrs, who dedicated their lives to the sacred war of justice, are etched in golden letters on the immortal monument.
Then, Vyacheslav Volodin, speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, read out a letter from Comrade Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, president of the Russian Federation, to the participants in the inauguration ceremony of the Memorial Museum of Combat Feats at the Overseas Military Operations.
In the letter, President Putin extended congratulations on the inauguration of the Memorial Museum of Combat Feats at the Overseas Military Operations in Pyongyang on the occasion of the first anniversary of the liberation of Kursk and expressed his sincere gratitude and high respect to those involved in the Kursk liberation operations and the fallen heroes, saying that the unprecedented feats the KPA service personnel performed by displaying their outstanding bravery and genuine spirit of self-sacrifice while fighting shoulder to shoulder with their Russian comrades-in-arms, will remain forever in the hearts of all the Russian citizens.
Minister of National Defence of the DPRK No Kwang Chol and Russian Minister of Defense Andrei Beloussov cut the inauguration tape.
A large number of white balloons flew up, reflecting the noble reverence for the heroic sacrifices and great exploits of the excellent sons of the DPRK people.
A ceremony of burying the remains of the war martyrs in the overseas military operations was solemnly held.
No Kwang Chol said that our precious officers and soldiers, whom we neither wanted to send nor lose, finally came to the warm embrace of the motherland they had so longed for and wanted to return even at their last moments, adding that their precious desire and faith as well as their undying feats will be preserved forever by the unanimous will and steadfast struggle of all the service personnel and people.
Comrade Kim Jong Un covered with earth the remains of martyr Kim Son Chol, hardly repressing his pain of loss and regret of not being able to bring back to life the genuine patriots and brave and passionate revolutionaries who sacrificed themselves unhesitatingly upon the call of the country.
Guards of honor of the KPA covered the remains of the martyrs with earth, praying for the souls of the great sons of the DPRK people and for immortality of the most genuine soldiers and the most genuine human beings.
Comrade Kim Jong Un recollected with reverence the last heroic moments of the brave soldiers who devoted their precious lives to the dignity and honor of the great motherland.
Amid the playing of music "Song about the Country", the historic moments passed to convey the world of noble love and obligation of the great father who, as the heaven of destiny embracing the stars of loyalty, gives the everlasting pulse of life to the martyrs who failed to return and takes care of the destiny and future of their kinsmen.
The bereaved families were in tears of emotion, looking up to Comrade Kim Jong Un who is grieving over the young heroes, who wished nothing but only the prosperity of the country and dedicated their lives, even though he provided the house of immortality pulsating with their souls and breath that cannot be mossed with time, beside the homes of the bereaved families who have just started to lead a happy life amid the respect and blessing of all the people.
Comrade Kim Jong Un once again paid warm tribute to the bereaved families who are regarding the noble life and glorious death of their beloved sons and husbands as proud and honorable and strongly overcoming the grief over the loss of the most precious persons.
A volley of rifles was fired, in reflection of the noble respect for the brave soldiers who showed through their admirable patriotic deeds how the KPA soldiers should live for the Party and the country and what they should leave before the country and brought invincibility of the heroic Korea to a higher level.
A wreath in the name of Comrade Kim Jong Un was laid at the Monument to the Korean People's Army Martyrs in the Special Military Operations.
Wreaths were laid in the name of the speaker of the State Duma and the minister of Defense of the Russian Federation.
And placed were wreaths in the name of the Central Committee of the WPK and the Central Military Commission of the WPK, the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, the DPRK Cabinet, the Ministry of National Defence of the DPRK and the three services of the KPA.
All the participants observed a moment's silence in memory of the war martyrs, the proud sons of the DPRK people who created a new history of great victory and indomitable heroic feats, to be immortal, for the country and the revolution and all the generations to come in the sacred war for defending justice, dignity and peace.
Comrade Kim Jong Un went round the museum together with major members of the official delegation of the Russian Federation, and senior party, government and military officials.
He laid a flower before the memorial wall where the war martyrs, who demonstrated the great appellation of the strong and the glory of victors with their loyalty to the Party and the country, ardent patriotism and popular heroism peculiar to the KPA, are shining as immortal stars, and paid high tribute to them.
Also laid there were flowers presented by members of the official delegation of the Russian Federation, senior party, government and military officials, the bereaved families of the martyrs and other participants in the ceremony.
Comrade Kim Jong Un looked round with deep emotion the photos and exhibits showing the boundless loyalty to the order of the country, ardent patriotism and the indomitable mettle with which they greeted even death as glory to defend the honor of the strong, which all the generations of the DPRK should keep forever and carry forward.
He visited a room where the remains are enshrined and laid a flower before them.
He affirmed that the dignified figures standing in the front ranks of the KPA can not be seen again, but the soul and spirit of the martyrs, the defenders of the precious honor of the country, will serve as the symbol of the heroic spirit of the DPRK people and the banner of the mightiness of our army and powerfully encourage the victorious advance of the peoples of the two countries struggling for the common cause of independence and justice.
He went to the room of visitor's book and wrote: "The soul of the martyrs will be eternal along with the great honor they defended although their lives are buried with the earth with which they fought in their bosoms.
I would like to present 'the Memorial Museum of Combat Feats at the Overseas Military Operations', the platform of honor, to the proud sons, officers and soldiers of this country.

Looking round the sanctuary of education in patriotism associated with the feats of the heroes who made a dash in response to the orders of the country and resounded with the echo of their beautiful life left by them at the last moments, all the participants hardened their firm will to build a prosperous state and the most powerful country in the world the martyrs desired so ardently, always remembering their noble soul and ambition.
The burning soul of the war martyrs will be immortal with the prestige and eternal prosperity of the DPRK, to be strong for all ages, along with the Memorial Museum of Combat Feats at the Overseas Military Operations symbolizing the greatness of the DPRK people and bearing a witness to the era of Kim Jong Un, the most heroic era of the DPRK.
Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Meets Speaker of State Duma of Russian Federation
Pyongyang, April 27 (KCNA) -- The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, on Sunday met Vyacheslav Volodin, speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, on a visit to the DPRK to attend the inauguration ceremony of the Memorial Museum of Combat Feats at the Overseas Military Operations.
He warmly greeted Vyacheslav Volodin and had a friendly talk.
Volodin courteously conveyed the best congratulations and wishes from Comrade Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, president of the Russian Federation, to Comrade Kim Jong Un, President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
Comrade Kim Jong Un expressed deep thanks for it and asked Volodin to convey his warm greetings to the esteemed Comrade Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin.
Warmly welcoming the visit of the official delegation of the Russian Federation to the DPRK, he highly appreciated that it is an expression of the stand and will of the Russian leadership to attach importance to and consolidate the relations of alliance between the two countries that Comrade President Putin sent a high-level delegation led by Vyacheslav Volodin to the inauguration ceremony of the Memorial Museum of Combat Feats at the Overseas Military Operations.
