Ceremony Takes Place on Birthday of DPRK
Pyongyang, September 10 (KCNA) -- All
the citizens and families of the DPRK greeted the 78th national day amid
ever-soaring patriotic enthusiasm of all the people to make great
transformations and strides, true to the revolutionary programme unveiled at
the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea.
A national flag-hoisting and oath-taking
ceremony took place solemnly at the Pyongyang Assembly Hall on September 9, the
78th founding anniversary of the glorious motherland Democratic People's
Republic of Korea.
Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un,
General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and President of the State
Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, attended the
commemorative event.
Present there were members of the
Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK and other
leading cadres of the Party, government and armed forces organs, senior
officials of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, the
Cabinet, commissions, ministries and national agencies, commanding officers of
the Korean People's Army and deputies to the SPA in Pyongyang.
The KPA guard of honour lined up at the
venue for the commemoration.
A ceremony of hoisting the national flag
of the DPRK took place.
Guards of honour of the KPA solemnly
escorted the national flag of the DPRK to the venue of the ceremony.
All the participants paid high tribute
to the glorious national flag symbolic of the pride and valiant spirit of
heroic Korea and its heroic people that have won priceless victories and
demonstrated the dignity and honour of the Republic to the world, bravely
treading the untrodden path of history with a strong sense of patriotism.
The glorious national flag of the DPRK
was hoisted.
The venue was overflowing with intense
desire of the participants to devote all their strength, wisdom and enthusiasm
to the glorious and worthwhile struggle for bringing earlier a bright future,
adding lustre to the great history of their ever-victorious country.
Led by the head of state, the
participants solemnly pledged before the sacred national flag to remain
boundlessly sincere in promoting the people's well-being and the growth and
development of the country, firmly defend the Constitution of the Republic,
strictly observe the legal duty, firmly defend the socialist ideology and the
socialist system and remain faithful to their beloved motherland so as to add
eternal glory to its greatness and beauty as responsible members defending the
sovereignty of the DPRK and interests of its people and serving the state and
people.
Comrade Kim Jong Un made a
congratulatory address to all the people on the occasion of the national day.
He extended warm congratulations and
thanks to the working people, service personnel and families across the country
for their continuous creation, boundless devotion and responsible contribution
to the prosperity and development of the country on the occasion of the
national day.
His warm congratulations also went to
the overseas compatriots' organizations and overseas compatriots that always
share their breath and mind with the homeland, praying for the brilliant
journey of the Republic. And he paid special thanks and high tribute to the
commanding officers and soldiers of the army involved in overseas military
operations.
Our ideal is being realized rapidly
thanks to patriotism, voluntary service and devoted contributions by all
citizens praying for the country's prosperity, and our fighting morale for
reaching the goal has also been greatly boosted, he said, adding that the
national prestige and dignity have been further enhanced year by year, thanks
to the arduous struggle of the Korean people, alongside their ever-soaring
spirit to bring earlier a dignified, powerful, peaceful, secure, revolutionary
and prosperous era.
Saying the further our socialist cause
advances, the higher ideals and ambitions we have, instead of greater joy and
satisfaction, he noted that the reality of the Korean revolution, in which all
are waging the struggle for tomorrow with higher and more goals than today and
make vigorous progress of their own style, fully demonstrates the inexhaustible
potentials and united strength of the country and the absolute confidence in
the future, and this remarkable development is being realized by the
resourceful Korean people.
Noting that the righteous minds and efforts
of the people loving and supporting the country and serving it with loyalty
have become the pillars of irresistible might to fully prop up the current
brilliant reality of the country, he said that the extraordinary pride and
self-confidence in the great country, fervent patriotism and outstanding
talents and strong self-respect of the Korean people make everyone aspire to a
stronger, more prosperous and more beautiful future of the DPRK. This shared
desire unites our country and all our people, steadily increases the national
power and provides confidence, courage and inexhaustible creative power
enabling them to race against time, he added.
Expressing his will to ensure that the
Party and the government make all efforts to shoulder heavier responsibility,
make a bigger stride and achieve dynamic advance, he wished all the people and
families across the country warm peace, joy and happiness, affirming that only
victory and glory are in store for the great, resourceful and brave people.
The participants were greatly excited by
the enthusiastic speech made by Comrade Kim Jong Un who declared the
unshakable faith and will to bring earlier the powerful, prosperous and
beautiful future of the nation, firmly believing in the ardent patriotism,
wisdom and inexhaustible creativity of the great, resourceful and brave Korean
people.
When Comrade Kim Jong Un finished
his speech, all the participants burst into stormy cheers of
"Hurrah!"
All the participants hardened their
strong will to fulfill the important responsibility and duty, entrusted by the
people, with tireless enthusiasm and strenuous efforts in the vanguard of the
historic sacred cause for the immortal glory of their country and the victory
of Korean-style socialism, true to the original idea of the great Comrade
Kim Jong Un on building a country guided by the people-first principle.

Innovators and Meritorious Persons Invited to Celebrations of National Day

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party
of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic
of Korea, met labor innovators and meritorious persons invited to the celebrations
of the 78th founding anniversary of the DPRK at the Pyongyang Assembly Hall on
September 9.
The participants, who were honored to be
present at the glorious moment they had greatly yearned, broke into
enthusiastic cheers with reverence for Comrade Kim Jong Un,
whom they had so much longed to see, with pride and honor of having devoted
patriotic enthusiasm and efforts to the crucial course of advance for making a
breakthrough in attaining the new long-term goals set by the historic Ninth
Congress of the Party.
Comrade Kim Jong Un warmly
congratulated the delegates from different sectors, who were invited to the
celebrations of the national day with the labor achievements they made with

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Receives Greetings from President Xi
Jinping

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party
of Korea and President of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic
People's Republic of Korea, received a congratulatory message from Comrade Xi
Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of
China and President of the People's Republic of China, on Sept. 9.
The message said:
Comrade General Secretary,
I, on behalf of the Communist Party of
China, the Chinese government and the Chinese people, extend warm
congratulations and best wishes to you and the Workers' Party of Korea, the DPRK
government and the Korean people on the occasion of the 78th founding
anniversary of the DPRK.
The Korean people have accelerated the
dynamic progress of the socialist cause of the DPRK in all fields for 78 years
by dint of self-reliance and united efforts under the leadership of the
Workers' Party of Korea.
Notably in recent years, you, Comrade
General Secretary, have achieved a series of development successes by leading
the Party and people of the DPRK and focusing on the economic and social

Russian President
Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) --
Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, President of the State Affairs of the
Democratic People's Republic of Korea, received a message of greeting from
Comrade V. Putin, President of the Russian Federation, on Sept. 8.
The message said:
My dear friend, Respected Comrade Kim
Jong Un,
I extend sincere congratulations to you
on the occasion of the 78th founding anniversary of the Democratic People's
Republic of Korea.
Over the past years, your country has
made remarkable successes in the socio-economic fields and extremely
strengthened its position in the world arena.
The relations between Moscow and
Pyongyang have been established always on the basis of the principle of
friendship, good neighborliness and mutual assistance.
Accordingly, without doubt, I, together

President

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, President of the State Affairs of the
Democratic People's Republic of Korea, received a message of greeting from
Aleksandr Lukashenko, president of the Republic of Belarus, on September 9.
The message said:
Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un,
dear friend,
I extend sincere congratulations to you
on the occasion of the founding anniversary of the Democratic People's Republic
of Korea.
Your country has achieved great
successes under the wise leadership of the great leaders of the Republic whose
august names are inscribed with gold letters in the annals of history.
This is clearly proved by the
improvement of the welfare of the inhabitants and the acceleration of
production and economic development.
I am pleased to note that the ties
between Minsk and Pyongyang are actively deepening.
I remember with special warm feelings
the official visit to the beautiful capital city of your country in March 2026.

DPRK's 78th Birthday Celebrated
Pyongyang, September 10 (KCNA) -- All
the people across the country significantly celebrated the 78th founding anniversary
of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, their beloved motherland.
An endless stream of visitors flew into
the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun where President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim
Jong Il, the eternal leaders of the Party and the people, lie in state.
At the plaza of the Kumsusan Palace of
the Sun, the visitors paid the highest tribute to the great leaders, the
founder and builder of the glorious DPRK.
Officials, working people, service
personnel, youth and students visited the statues of the peerlessly great
leaders and the mosaics depicting them on Mansu Hill and in other parts of the
country to lay flower baskets, bouquets and flowers before them.
At the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on
Mt Taesong, the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery, other martyrs
cemeteries, memorial towers for the fallen soldiers of the Korean People's Army
and cemeteries of fallen fighters in different parts of the country, the
visitors deeply grasped the noble spirit and moral world of the anti-Japanese
revolutionary martyrs, patriotic martyrs and fallen fighters of the KPA who
dedicated themselves to the struggle for national liberation and prosperity.
There took place national flag-hoisting
ceremonies in different parts of the country.
At the venue for the national sculpture
and craftwork festival opened on the occasion of the national day, the visitors
keenly felt the mightiness of their great country and the boundless pride of
being citizens of the dignified DPRK.
Meetings between meritorious persons of
socialist patriotism and youth and students took place in North Hwanghae,
Kangwon and North Hamgyong provinces, Nampho Municipality, etc.
At story-telling and oratorical meetings
of working people and youth and students held in different parts of the
country, the participants expressed their will to devote their wisdom, strength
and enthusiasm to the prosperity of the country, sharing their destiny with it.
Performances were given in Pyongyang and
local areas, adding pleasure to the significant holiday.
The festive mood of the national day was
revved up by the cheerful dancing parties of youth and students and members of
the women's union held in different parts of the country.
On the same day, public catering
establishments in Pyongyang and all other parts of the country, including Okryu
Restaurant, Phyongnam Noodle House and Sinhung Restaurant in Hamhung, were full
of visitors receiving holiday service.
Leisure complexes, including the Central
Zoo, the Natural History Museum and the Munsu Water Park, were overflowing with
working people and schoolchildren enjoying the holiday.
