Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Pays Congratulatory Visit to Central Cadres Training School of WPK on Its 80th Founding Anniversary
Pyongyang, June 2 (KCNA) -- The Central Cadres Training School of the Workers' Party of Korea, a prestigious political school of the WPK and the highest seat of training cadres of the Party, is proudly marking its 80th founding anniversary in its glorious history.
The Central Cadres Training School has successfully carried out its strategic and historic duty, entrusted by the times and the revolution, in the van of accomplishing the sacred cause of eternally carrying forward the lifeline of the Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Party and its ever-victorious leadership and firmly guaranteeing the bright prospect of the Juche cause. Such contribution of the school serves as a solid cornerstone supporting the immortal dignity and honor of the WPK which is writing the longest history as a socialist ruling party.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, paid a congratulatory visit to the Central Cadres Training School of the WPK marking its 80th founding anniversary on June 1.
The revolutionary university, which stands imposingly in the historic Kumsusan area as a symbol of the absolute prestige of the WPK and the invincibility of our cause, was filled with great excitement and joy of all its teaching staff and students who had the greatest honor and happiness of having Comrade Kim Jong Un on its campus on the significant 80th founding anniversary.
When Comrade Kim Jong Un arrived, all the participants broke into thunderous cheers of "Hurrah!".
They paid the highest tribute and gratitude to Comrade Kim Jong Un, the most faithful successor to the sacred cause of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, the peerlessly great political master and the great teacher, who visited the school with ardent love, trust and warm blessing.
Comrade Kim Jong Un was courteously greeted by Ri Yong Sik, headmaster of the Central Cadres Training School of the WPK, and Paek Hyong Chol, secretary of its primary committee of the WPK.
He was presented with bouquets of fragrant flowers by the school's educational workers.
He warmly congratulated all the teaching staff and students of the school on its significant 80th founding anniversary as they are performing brilliant feats with honor by making tangible contribution to organizational and ideological strengthening of the Party and its leadership activities through educational practice and scientific activities and with good scholastic attainments at a time when the new era of Party building and the great period of national rejuvenation are being ushered in.
Present at the celebrations were secretaries and other officials of the Central Committee of the WPK, the teaching staff and students of the Central Cadres Training School of the WPK and educational workers and students of the provincial Party schools across the country.
Present there on invitation were the veteran educators who made distinguished contributions to training Party cadres.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un made a significant speech on the occasion of the 80th founding anniversary of the Central Cadres Training School of the WPK.
He appreciated the special position and dignity and the high honor of the Central Cadres Training School, which has vigorously developed into a reliable cadre-training base of the WPK both in name and in reality for the past 80 years since it was founded with 80 students holding in high esteem the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung as its first headmaster on June 1, 1946, and is now purely glorifying its sacred original name as a political and educational institution faithfully serving the cause of Juche-oriented Party building and as a strategic fortress guaranteeing the existence and development of the Party.
The original idea of founding the school that it is hard to expect the building of a prosperous state apart from the core and leading role of the Party cadres and the training of Party cadres should be put above all other affairs remains an absolute truth even now after 80 years, he said, referring to the strategic intention of the WPK attaching greater importance to the training of Party cadres and its inevitability at a time when the socialist construction is in the era of transformation which no one has ever experienced and the struggle for realizing the people's ideal is being intensified as never before.
He said that if the Party is to become strong and the country to develop, the pedigree establishment for training hard-core cadres of the Party should be firm and the top-ranking talents of our country should be trained. And he set forth in detail the important principles and educational and practical directions to be adhered to by the Party political school in remaining faithful to its character, nature and mission and training the reserves of the Party into core elements possessed of the Juche outlook on the revolution, life and morality despite the passage of time and the steady replacement of generations.
He wished the Central Cadres Training School of the WPK only glory in the future, ardently calling for making the glorious moment of today, which marks another significant starting point in the development of the WPK and the revolution, lead onto the brighter future and more courageously opening up the great course of party building in the new era.
All the participants, receiving with boundless excitement the profound guidelines guaranteeing the bright future of strengthening the whole Party in the new era, broke into enthusiastic cheers amid a thunderous clapping of hands, expressing their determination to remain unfailingly faithful to the cause of Juche-oriented party building as the true personifiers of the red-flag spirit firmly armed with the revolutionary idea of the Party Central Committee and the standard-bearers of the revolution steadfastly carrying forward the glory of the Party and guaranteeing its future.
Comrade Kim Jong Un went round the room dedicated to the history of the school.
Our cause of Party building has never experienced a moment of stagnation or frustration even in the years of the arduous revolution, thanks to the Party cadres training bases which have invariably served as a nutrition for the Juche-oriented cause of Party building from the very day of the Party founding, he said, adding that it is the great pride and strength of the WPK to have such a prestigious educational base and strong theoretical base as the Central Cadres Training School of the WPK which is reliably supporting the struggle of the socialist ruling Party while maintaining the high sense of responsibility for the revolutionary cause, sincere research attitude and substantial teaching strategy.
He stressed that even though the Party's revolutionary idea is great and its exploits enormous, it is impossible to expect the Party's long-term development and steady succession to the revolutionary cause if the Party fails to successfully train its successors, and that the Central Cadres Training School should ceaselessly enhance the leadership and fighting efficiency for the permanent existence and continued victorious development of the Party and consolidate its eternal prosperity in conformity with the important mission given by the times and the revolution.
It is the guarantee for invincibility of the revolutionary Party and the law of its rule to highly value its sacred first page and steadfastly carry it forward as the history becomes longer and exploits are accumulated, he said, stressing that the school should steadily glorify its noble position and duty as the main base and think-tank of the Party's ideo-theoretical building in the work of intensifying the education and struggle to maintain and give full play to the Party's original ideals and determination and qualitatively training the hard-core elements possessed of the revolutionary climate inherent in the Party as their mental qualities.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un had a photo taken with the teaching staff of the Central Cadres Training School, who are devoting their high qualifications as educators, Party conscience and revolutionary enthusiasm to the sacred school platform related to the eternal future of the Party, on the occasion of the significant founding anniversary of the school.
The role of the Central Cadres Training School of the WPK just means the strengthening and development of the WPK and the eternal future of the Party building depends on every step of this political school, he said, expressing expectation and belief that the school will further strive to strengthen the Party and brilliantly accomplish its sacred action programs, always sharing the intention, will and practice with the Party Central Committee.
Then, he also had a photo taken with the educational workers of the provincial Party schools who were invited to the celebrations of the 80th founding anniversary of the Central Cadres Training School, which will be eternally recorded in the history of Party building.
All the participants hardened their will to more creditably and steadfastly carry out the duty of the glorious political school with their great efforts and successes in the educational work, bearing deeper in mind the honor of being committed revolutionaries who are training the reserves of the Party.
The women's soccer teams, who won gold medals in the international games for the honor of the motherland, had a demonstration match to commemorate the 80th founding anniversary of the school.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un watched the match together with the participants in the celebrations.
Prior to the match, he met and warmly congratulated the players and coaches of the National Soccer Team, the winner of the 2026 AFC U-17 Women's Asian Cup, and the Naegohyang Team who won the trophy in the 2025-2026 AFC Women's Champions League.
He warmly took the trustworthy women players, proud daughters of the motherland, to his arms and had a photo session with them, hoping that they will support the country by winning more gold medals, more brilliant trophies associated with their patriotism.
The conspicuous match started amid high spirit and excitement of the women players honored with great love and trust of the fatherly Marshal.
The match, in which the players displayed high competitive spirit, impressively decorated the end of the celebrations.
At the end of the match, the participants raised roaring cheers of "Hurrah!" as an eruption of their joy and excitement of spending together with the benevolent father dream-like pleasant and happy time that they would recollect in their lifetime.
Comrade Kim Jong Un warmly waved back to the enthusiastically cheering participants, expressing his hope that the pedigree establishments for training the backbone of the WPK, which upheld its glorious history as a ruling party, would achieve more remarkable successes in education and gain higher academic authority.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un's guidance to the supreme political school of the DPRK will be registered in the history of Party building in the new era as a sacred footprints he made to ensure forever the eternal continuity and invincibility of the Juche revolution and usher in the more bright and hopeful era of prosperity before the Party and the country by giving definite precedence to the work for the future of the Party over all other affairs.
Photo Exhibition Opens to Mark 80th Founding Anniversary of KCU
Pyongyang, June 2 (KCNA) -- A photo exhibition "Glorious 80 years covered by the Korean Children's Union under the great care" was opened with due ceremony at the People's Palace of Culture on June 1 to mark the 80th founding anniversary of the KCU.
On display at the venue of the exhibition are photos showing the revolutionary exploits of the great leader Generalissimo Kim Il Sung, the great leader Generalissimo Kim Jong Il and the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un who provided the precious tradition of the Juche-oriented children's movement and trained the rising generations into true sons and daughters and young revolutionaries who will shoulder the future of the country.
Attending the opening ceremony were Ju Chang Il, secretary of the C.C., Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the youth league and schoolchildren in Pyongyang.
Paek Un Chol, chairman of the C.C., Socialist Patriotic Youth League, made an opening address.
The speaker referred to the fact that the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un showed the great affection to make sure that events for marking the 80th KCU birthday are held with splendor amid the blessing of all the people.
He stressed that all the KCU members should prepare themselves to be young revolutionaries intensely faithful to Marshal Kim Jong Un, competent revolutionary talents equipped with knowledge, good moral character and good health and young patriots doing good things to be helpful to the building of a prosperous country.
At the end of the ceremony, the participants looked round the exhibition venue.
Joint Friendship Gathering Marks International Children's Day
Pyongyang, June 2 (KCNA) -- A joint friendship gathering took place at the Taesongsan Pleasure Park on June 1 to mark the 76th anniversary of International Children's Day.
Attending it were officials concerned, senior officials of the Party and power organs in Pyongyang Municipality, officials of the women's union, teachers and parents, children of the Pyongyang Baby Home and the Pyongyang Orphanage and kindergarteners in the municipality.
Present were envoys and members of diplomatic missions here and members of a delegation of Korean schoolchildren in Japan on a visit to the socialist homeland to take part in the celebrations of the 80th founding anniversary of the Korean Children's Union and overseas compatriots staying in the homeland.
Jon Hyang Sun, chairwoman of the Central Committee of the women's union, made a speech at the gathering. She warmly congratulated the children across the country and foreign children from different countries on International Children's Day.
A congratulatory performance of students of Kumsong Secondary School No. 1 and artistes of the National Acrobatic Troupe added joy and pleasure to the participants.
Amid the playing of juvenile songs, children displayed beautiful dances and sang songs reflecting their happy life.
Then, followed folk play and sports and amusement games. The games, in which little players competed with each other in wisdom and strength, and a game, in which their mothers took part, added to the pleasure and optimism of the participants.
Children and participants played a cheerful circle dance, decorating the end of the gathering.
International Children's Day Marked by Children with Disability in DPRK
Pyongyang, June 2 (KCNA) -- A meeting of children with disability took place at the gymnasium of the extracurricular sports school in Taedonggang District, Pyongyang on Monday to mark the June 1 International Children's Day.
Present there were Jon Chol Hi, chairman of the Central Committee of the Korean Federation for the Protection of the Disabled, officials concerned, children with disability, children of Tongmun Kindergarten No. 2 in Taedonggang District, nurses, kindergarten teachers and parents.
A speech was made by Song Hyang Chun, head of the Korean Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Disability, followed by an art performance of disabled children and kindergarteners.
Put on the stage were small choruses "The day when the Marshal came is a happy holiday" and "Twinkling small stars" and other numbers. The performers expressed joy and optimism of the bright and happy children growing up under the warm love and meticulous care of the motherly Workers' Party of Korea.
And cheerful and high-spirited children competed in the sports and amusement games amid their parents' enthusiastic cheers, adding to the pleasure of the holiday.
International Children's Day Marked in DPRK
Pyongyang, June 2 (KCNA) -- Happy children across the DPRK greeted the June 1 International Children's Day with pleasure.
The children at all nurseries, kindergartens, baby homes and orphanages in the capital city and local areas spent a pleasant holiday amid the blessings of nurses and kindergarten teachers and parents.
Those of Kim Jong Suk Nursery, Kyongsang Kindergarten, Changgwang Kindergarten and Pyongyang Baby Home and Pyongyang Orphanage received apples and pears associated with the benevolence of the Workers' Party of Korea on their holiday.
Filled with the festive mood were Mirae Kindergarten in Phyongchon District, Ryomyong Kindergarten in Taesong District, Raengchon Kindergarten in Tongdaewon District, Hwasong Kindergarten No. 3 in Hwasong District, Segori Kindergarten in Pothonggang District, Tongsong-dong Nursery in Central District and Thosong-dong No. 1 Nursery in Rangnang District of Pyongyang.
The children, in art performances, sang such songs as "We Yearn for Marshal Kim Jong Un" and danced to the tune of various songs.
They took part in the sports and amusement games, divided into "Chong" (blue) and "Hong" (red) teams, "Aircraft" and "Tank" teams, making the on-lookers delighted.
The children of Kanggye Baby Home, Phyongsong Orphanage, Sariwon Orphanage and Nampho Orphanage gave special performances.
Children at Kindergarten No. 2 of the Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm, Kuje Kindergarten of Haeju City affiliated to Haeju Jo Ok Hui Teachers Training College, Phyonghwa Kindergarten in Wonsan City and Chongmae-dong Nursery in Sinuiju City enjoyed themselves with various folk games and amusement games.
On the same day, commercial service establishments, parks and pleasure grounds across the country were crowded with children spending a pleasant time with their parents.
