Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Inspects Memorial Museum of Combat Feats at Overseas Military Operations under Construction
Pyongyang, February 14 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, inspected the Memorial Museum of Combat Feats at the Overseas Military Operations under construction on Feb. 13.
He was greeted on the spot by Ju Chang Il, department director of the Central Committee of the WPK, commanding officers of the military units involved in the construction and officials of the designing and creation units.
Going round the construction site, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un acquainted himself in detail with the progress made in construction and creation and installation of sculptures.
Highly appreciating that the outer wall sculptural decorations were created well to preserve the theme-specific features, he said that the matchless bravery and mass heroism displayed by soldiers of the Korean People's Army, involved in the overseas military operations, must be imposingly etched in history as a banner of invincibility.
The Memorial Museum of Combat Feats at the Overseas Military Operations is, before being a simple architectural structure, the crystal of the noble respect, paid by our Party, country and people to the sacred souls of the heroic martyrs who will be immortal for all ages, and the platform of dignity and honour for respectfully exalting their worthwhile life, he added.
Stressing the need to create all elements to be ideologically and artistically perfect in minute detail, he clarified a series of tasks and ways on modification.
He called upon the service personnel, designers and creators, involved in the construction of the memorial museum, to deeply cherish the profound feelings of respect of the Party and people and successfully build the museum into a sacred monument, an edifice representative of the era, which will be glorified eternally as a symbol of the feats and immortality of the fallen fighters.
Press Statement of Kim Yo Jong, Vice Department Director of C.C., WPK
Pyongyang, February 13 (KCNA) -- Kim Yo Jong, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party Korea, released the following press statement "ROK authorities should take steps to prevent reoccurrence of provocative sovereignty violation" on Feb. 12:
I think it fortunate that Jong Tong Yong, minister of Unification of the ROK, officially expressed regret on February 10 over the case of drone intrusion into the DPRK that occurred at the outset of the new year.
I appreciate it as quite sensible behavior.
But the ROK authorities are required to take preventive measures to surely guarantee that such serious infringement of sovereignty as violating the airspace of our Republic would never happen again, instead of seeking to gloss over with such mere expression of regret the crisis they brought.
Explicitly speaking once again, we don't care who the very manipulator of the drone infiltration into the airspace of the DPRK is and whether it is an individual or a civilian organization.
What we take seriously is just the fact that a ROK-borne drone violated the airspace of our country, a grave encroachment of our sovereignty.
I give advance warning that reoccurrence of such provocation as violating the inalienable sovereignty of the DPRK will surely provoke a terrible response.
Various counterattack plans are on the table and one of them will be chosen without doubt and it will go beyond proportionality.
I warn the ROK authorities to pay heed to prevention so that such a foolish deed would never recur again inside their country.
