Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Guides Campaign for
Repairing Flood Damage in North Phyongan Province
Pyongyang, September 30 (KCNA) -- Kim
Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of
the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, gave field
guidance over the rehabilitation projects in the flood-hit areas in North
Phyongan Province on September 29.
He was accompanied by Jo Yong Won
and Ri Il Hwan, secretaries of the WPK Central Committee, and Kim Yong Bok,
deputy chief of the General Staff of the Korean People's Army.
He was greeted by commanding officers of
the military units involved in the rehabilitation projects in the relevant
areas on the spot.
Looking at an artist’s impression
of the residential quarters to be newly built, he learned in detail about the
progress made in the construction.
He highly appreciated the efforts of all
the builders who are achieving fresh innovative successes day by day, bearing
in mind the patriotic appeal to make redoubled efforts for the prosperity of
the great state.
He repeatedly stressed that it is the
most urgent task facing the Party and the government at present to alleviate
the pain of the flood victims as early as possible and restore the production
and living order in the flood-hit areas to the normal level. And he said that
all the builders should complete the housing construction on the highest level
in the shortest time by directing redoubled efforts and sincerity to provide
the people in the flood-hit areas with houses for happy living.
He repeatedly requested that primary
efforts be always directed to thoroughly ensuring the quality of structures as
the rehabilitation of the flood-hit areas is not merely a matter of removing
the aftermath of natural disaster but an important process of implementing the
Party's far-reaching programme for regional development.
Every structure representing the era of
changes reflects our ideology, policy and aesthetic view and therefore
construction is a visual expression of politics, he said. He stressed the need
for all the builders to fulfil the requirements of designs and construction
methods and wage a fierce struggle in time against a slightest practice of
neglecting quality control without conniving at it, by bearing in mind that
ensuring quality precisely means the correct implementation of the Party's
policies and an important political issue of keeping the people's trust in the
Party.
He went round a construction site of
dwelling houses together with the cadres accompanying him.
Watching builders at work, he expressed
thanks to the spiritual world and devotion of them who are boundlessly loyal to
the country and its people.
Describing the soldier-builders and
members of the youth shock brigade who volunteered for the flood-hit areas as
the vanguard fighters who have taken the lead in the honourable struggle for
the great people whom the Party upholds as Heaven, he stressed the need for
officials to always pay deep attention to ensuring their living conditions and
said that the Party would take an important measure for this.
Learning about an embankment project in
the island areas, he indicated the ways for building permanent
embankments.
Noting that the ongoing campaign for
repairing flood damage is another political process that occupies an important
place in raising to a higher level the stage of development of rural
civilization set forth in the Party's programme for the rural revolution, he
called for powerfully conducting political information and motivation work for
instilling into the minds of all the builders as an element of faith the
self-respect and honour of the state and the consciousness of performers who
directly carry on the sacred struggle for the well-being of regional
people.
He clarified important guidelines related
to the rehabilitation, including the issue of preferentially supplying
materials and equipment needed for the projects in time by meticulously
organizing transport, the issue of speeding up framework building to the
maximum and raising the quality level by directing more time to the final
process of construction and the issue of improving the surrounding environment
and carrying out afforestation properly in ornamental and practical aspects,
given that civilized and modern residential quarters would be built.
He expressed expectation and belief that
the soldier-builders and members of the youth shock brigade would perform
brilliant feats in the theatre of honourable struggle for providing the people
in the flood-hit areas with the base of a stable and cultured life at an early
date with the consciousness and firm confidence that they are the creators of
the new era and pioneers who shoulder the gigantic cause of comprehensive
national development.
All the builders, looking up to the
outstanding teacher and great father who came to the rehabilitation sites to
make sure that miracles are performed and to give them inexhaustible strength
and courage, made a firm pledge to fully demonstrate the advantages of
Korean-style socialism centred on the masses of the people by carrying out his
on-site instructions unconditionally and thoroughly without an inch of
deflection and turning the land of the country, which has overcome the natural
calamity, into a socialist paradise where the people's happiness is in full
bloom.
Press Statement of Vice Department Director of WPK Central
Committee Kim Yo Jong
Pyongyang, September 29 (KCNA) -- Kim Yo
Jong, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party
of Korea, released the following press statement "The U.S. additional
military support to Ukraine will be a trigger for bringing a nuclear disaster
to the world" on Sunday:
The U.S. killed hundreds of thousands of
innocent people by dropping nuclear bombs for the first time in history in the
last century. It is now running amuck to plunge the whole earth into a horrible
nuclear disaster.
It is a serious mistake and foolish act
for the U.S. to announce its plan to offer again military aids worth 8 billion
U.S. dollars to the neo-Nazis puppet regime of Ukraine.
I strongly denounce the U.S. for its
intentional escalation of tensions to trigger off prolongation and expansion of
the dispute and plunge the whole European region into the holocaust of a
nuclear war by providing Ukraine with an astronomical amount of military
hardware.
The U.S. and the West should neither
ignore nor underestimate Russia's stern warnings.
Can the U.S. and the West deal with the
consequences to be entailed by their current fearless war gamble against
Russia, a nuclear superpower?
To help Ukraine attempt at further
adventurous military actions is just a dangerous gamble. It is also an
irresponsible act of making many people stake their lives on luck only, exposed
to a great calamity.
Calamity is inevitable unless insanity
of Zelenskiy is stopped.
The U.S., though belatedly, should know
that it can get a mere chance for preventing the looming calamity only when it
cools down its head heated with anti-Russia confrontational hysteria and takes
a step back after abandoning such a foolish and silly guy as Zelenskiy seeking
to strike the interior of Russia, a nuclear superpower.
Taking this opportunity, I would like to
give a serious warning over Zelenskiy's backbiting against the DPRK at a recent
UNSC meeting.
The malicious Zelenskiy clique, who has
killed innocent Russian citizens by recklessly using the good-for-nothing
weapons offered by the U.S. and the West, has gone so preposterous as to let
out a string of rubbish terming our country an "accomplice nation" in
the Ukrainian war. This is a reckless politically-motivated provocation that
can never be justified.
As for the logic of Zelenskiy, the U.S.
and the West deserve the title of top-class accomplice for having lavished the
greatest amounts of weapons and ammunitions on the Ukrainian battlefields.
The world began to feel bored with the
poor acting of Zelenskiy.
It is uncertain what he would do more
with begging and sympathy but he'd better step down for world peace and
security before it would be too late.
History is on the side of justice.
The U.S. and its followers are bound to
pay dearly for pursuing high-handedness and challenging justice.
DPRK Will Never Give up Its Nuclear Weapons: KCNA Commentary
Pyongyang, September 29 (KCNA) -- G7 has
turned into the most hideous confrontational group against the DPRK under the
control of the U.S.
For a typical example, its foreign
ministers issued a "presidential statement" at a confab held on Sept.
24, occasioned by the 79th UN General Assembly session in New York.
The statement is run through with
ridiculous and impudent remarks urging the DPRK to abandon its nuclear arms,
not content with terming its self-defensive nuclear force an "illegal one
that violated UNSC resolutions."
This is just bombast urging the DPRK to
dismantle its absolute guarantee for national security and give up its right to
existence. Furthermore, it is a grave politically-motivated provocation and
wanton violation which denies the sovereignty of the DPRK and the constitutional
status that reflects the unanimous will of all the Korean people.
The DPRK has already specified the
policy of its state nuclear force as its supreme law, a political and
institutional mechanism for firmly guaranteeing the eternal security of the
country and its people.
G7 comprises a war criminal nation,
which used A-bombs against humanity, possessed of the world's biggest nuclear
arsenal, countries that armed themselves with nuclear weapons long ago with
black-hearted intentions and a dangerous nation seeking nuclear weapons to
realize their revengeful wild ambition. Nevertheless, it tried to deprive the
DPRK of its inalienable right to arming itself with self-defensive nuclear
means. This constitutes the worst crime that can never be pardoned.
G7 has persisted in seriously
threatening the security environment of the DPRK.
The U.S. and Japan have frantically
staged various war drills aimed at the use of nuclear weapons against the DPRK
on the Korean peninsula and in its vicinity, operating their triangular
military alliance with the ROK in full swing. Worse still, other member states
of G7 have joined one after another in the racket for stifling the DPRK. This
clearly proves that G7 is a "group that deserves a special prize" for
tangibly "contributing" to destroying peace and stability of the
Korean peninsula and the region.
No wonder, G7 member states are most
active in taking part in the U.S.-led campaign for reviving and expanding the
illegal "UN Command" in a bid to gain the right to their participation
in the "second Korean war," and among them are defeated nations of
the Second World War.
Against this backdrop, they held a
confab during a UN General Assembly session discussing the tragic situations of
Europe and the Middle East, where they called for someone's
"denuclearization" that had flied far. This is just a revelation of
their dead-end wild ambition for depriving the DPRK of its nuclear deterrent
for self-defence at any cost under the manipulation of the U.S.
G7 is foolish enough to deny the
national law of the DPRK as it has neither qualifications nor authority to
represent the international community.
Though belatedly, it has to know that
its any attempt against our nuclear weapons can never work.
Moreover, they should know that the DPRK
will never give up its nuclear weapons in any case.
All the people of the DPRK will defend
their constitution at the cost of their lives.
We warn G7 not to stick to such a futile
deed.
G7 will have to pay dearly for violating
the national law of the DPRK.
DPRK Women Contribute to Socialist Construction
Pyongyang, September 30 (KCNA) -- Many
women in the DPRK are covering the road of loyalty and patriotism true to the
plan of the Workers' Party of Korea for building a powerful country, deeply
aware of the responsibility and duty they have assumed before their families
and society.
More than 3 000 women's union members in
Uiju County, North Phyongan Province sent hundreds of thousands of blocks
produced through their positive shock brigade activities to the projects for
rehabilitate the flood-hit areas.
Women in Sinpho City, South Hamgyong
Province provided sincere welfare service for the soldiers involved in the
construction of a modern offshore farm and contributed to producing building
parts and elements.
Women in Songrim City, North Hwanghae
Province and Jasong County, Jagang Province have carried out their plans for
harvesting silk from cocoons every year, true to the Party's policy on
sericulture.
Similar activities are witnessed at
South Hwanghae and Kangwon provinces and Kaesong Municipality, Pothonggang
District of Pyongyang Municipality, Kangso District of Nampho Municipality,
etc.
DPRK Team Proves Successful at 2024 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup
Pyongyang, September 24 (KCNA) -- The
DPRK team beat its Japanese rival in the finals of the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women's
World Cup held in Colombia and won the trophy.
Our team played a match with its
Japanese rival on September 22.
About 15 minutes after the start, player
Choe Il Son of our team succeeded in scoring with a strong left-foot shoot
after dribbling past Japanese players from the right side of the offensive
field.
In the final match, the DPRK team beat
its rival 1:0.
Choe Il Son became a top scorer, scoring
six goals in total.
At the awarding ceremony the trophy and
gold medals were awarded to the DPRK women footballers who came first and the
best player prize and top scorer prize to Choe.
