Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Convenes Consultative Meeting on National Defence and Security Pyongyang, October 15 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, convened a consultative meeting on national defence and security on October 14. The meeting was attended by No Kwang Chol, minister of National Defence of the DPRK, Jo Chun Ryong, secretary of the WPK Central Committee, Ri Yong Gil, chief of the General Staff of the Korean People's Army, Ri Chang Ho, deputy chief of the General Staff and director of the General Reconnaissance Bureau of the KPA, Ri Chang Dae, minister of State Security, and commanding officers of the Artillery Bureau, Detection and Electronic Warfare Bureau and other major bureaus of the KPA General Staff. The meeting heard a report of the director of the General Reconnaissance Bureau on the general analysis of the serious incident of the enemy's provocation of violating the sovereignty of the DPRK, a report of the chief of the KPA General Staff on the military counteraction plan, a report of the minister of National Defence on the measures for modernizing military technical equipment, a report of the WPK secretary in charge of the munitions industry on the production of weapons and equipment, and a report of the minister of State Security on the situation of intelligence operation. Kim Jong Un made assessments and conclusions on the information and suggested measures specified in the reports of different defence and security organs. After hearing a report on the relevant work done by the General Staff and the major combined units' combat readiness, he set forth the direction of immediate military activities and indicated important tasks to be tackled in the operation of the war deterrent and the exercise of the right to self-defence for safeguarding the national sovereignty, security and interests. He expressed a tough political and military stand of the WPK and the DPRK government at the consultative meeting.
Press Statement of Kim Yo Jong, Vice Department Director of C.C., WPK Pyongyang, October 15 (KCNA) -- Kim Yo Jong, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, issued the following press statement on Tuesday: We secured clear evidence that the ROK military gangsters are the main culprit of the hostile provocation of violating the sovereignty of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea by intruding into the sky over its capital city. The provocateurs will have to pay a dear price.
Press Statement of Spokesperson for Korea Association for Human Rights Studies Pyongyang, October 15 (KCNA) -- A spokesperson for the Korea Association for Human Rights Studies released the following press statement on October 14: At the recent 79th session of the UN General Assembly, a report of the "special rapporteur" on human rights situation of the DPRK, which malignantly hurts the DPRK's policy of guaranteeing genuine human rights and its true situation, was distributed as an official document of the UN. The report is run through with such fabrications as "forcible missing and repatriation", "torture and maltreatment in detention facilities" and "suppression of free movement and speech", and inflammatory remarks taking issue with even the regular legislative activities of the DPRK, its internal affair and exercise of sovereignty. The Korea Association for Human Rights Studies categorically rejects the report, a product of the U.S. and the West's conspiracy to escalate confrontation with the DPRK, branding it as the most hideous document for ill-intended political propaganda fabricated to tarnish the image of the dignified DPRK. The report terms the most advantageous emergency anti-epidemic measure, which firmly ensured our people's right to living when millions people lost their lives due to the global crisis caused by COVID-19, "violation of human rights." Furthermore, it even paints a black picture of the legislative measure taken by the DPRK to defend its ideology and social system from the heinous ideological and cultural poisoning by the U.S. and the West seeking the internal erosion and collapse of the sovereign state, and calls for "reproach." This constitutes a wanton violation of our sovereignty and interference in our internal affairs, which can never be pardoned. The "special rapporteur" on human rights situation of the DPRK, who echoes the rubbish and false rumors spread by the U.S. and the vassal forces to play the role of a missionary for its anti-DPRK "human rights" conspiratorial racket is, indeed, a puppet and top-class servant of the U.S. We keep a record of every confrontational trace of the "special rapporteur" who often visited the ROK to let out a string of offensive remarks against the DPRK like "border blockade-brought deterioration of human rights situation" and "lingering food crisis," and impudently called for "handling the human rights' situation of the DPRK in the light of global peace and security and unethical crime" in the UN arena. It is just a disgrace to the UN advocating objectivity, impartiality, dialogue and cooperation that the title of country-specific special rapporteur, which should have disappeared long ago for being a direct product of the U.S. and the West's high-handed and arbitrary practices and extreme double-standard, still remains. We have never recognized the "special rapporteur" on human rights situation of the DPRK and will never ever deal with the "rapporteur." The more desperately the U.S. and the riff-raff following it, including the "special rapporteur", distort the truth and turn black into white to malignantly slander the DPRK's genuine human rights situation, the more clearly it will betray their despicable confrontational nature gripped by hostility towards the DPRK. The U.S. and its vassal forces, which are facing ever-worsening inferiority in strength in the political and military showdown with the DPRK, are resorting to putting collective pressure on the DPRK in cooperation with each other under the pretext of the non-existent "human rights issue," but they will get nothing from the "human rights" smear campaign. We will never tolerate the hostile forces' vicious anti-DPRK "human rights" smear campaign for tarnishing the image of the socialist system centered on the popular masses, the life and soul of all the DPRK people and the cradle of their life, but firmly safeguard the rights and interests of the people.
Many Youth and Students in DPRK Volunteer to Join or Rejoin KPA Pyongyang, October 16 (KCNA) -- The whole DPRK is full of the will to annihilate the scum of the ROK who violated its inviolable sovereignty and security. Millions of young people have turned out in the nationwide struggle to wipe out the ROK scum who committed a serious provocation of violating the sovereignty of the DPRK through a drone infiltration into its capital city to push the tense situation to the brink of war, which precipitates their self-destruction, and are now making impudent remarks like a guilty party filing the suit first. If a war breaks out, the ROK will be wiped off the map. As it wants a war, we are willing to put an end to its existence. The passionate young people are determined to turn out in a sacred war of destroying the enemy with the arms of the revolution. Their great enthusiasm for joining the army is being displayed in all the places of the country, including worksites where a campaign for increased production is underway, construction sites, farms having a bumper harvest, and educational institutions. According to data available, more than 1.4 million youth league officials and youth and students across the country volunteered to join or rejoin the Korean People's Army on October 14 and 15. The young people's zeal for joining the army is an eruption of the hatred and retaliatory spirit of the younger generation who are determined to punish the scum who committed a hideous crime to ignite a war at any cost, and end the horrible evil relationship. Youth and students across the country signed the petitions for joining or rejoining the army out of the pledge to find out the heinous confrontation maniacs and criminals to the last one and cut off their windpipes. The commanding officers and members of the Paektusan Hero Youth Shock Brigade, the young people of the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex, the Taean Heavy Machine Complex, the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill and many other working youth across the country volunteered to join the army with the spirit to resolutely wipe out the sworn enemy seeking to bring down their socialist system that represent their life and soul, and their dignified life and happiness. At the universities across the country, including Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, Phyongbuk University of Technology and Sariwon Kye Ung Sang University of Agriculture, many students, including discharged officers and men, vowed to make the lunatics experience the real war and showers of fire. The number of the angry revengers of the rising generation determined to plunge the heinous enemy into an abyss of final ruin, those who volunteered to join or rejoin the KPA, is on the increase with the passage of time.
