Pyongyang, June 2 (KCNA) -- A joint friendship gathering took place at the Taesongsan Pleasure Park in the DPRK on June 1 to mark the 73rd anniversary of International Children's Day (June 1).
Present at the gathering were Kim Su Gil, chief secretary of the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Ri Song Hak, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Kim Sung Du, chairman of the Education Commission, Choe Hui Thae, chairman of the Pyongyang Municipal People's Committee, officials concerned, and kindergartners, kindergarten teachers and women in Pyongyang.
Attending it were foreign diplomatic envoys, members of missions and foreigners including women in the DPRK.
Kim Jong Sun, chairwoman of the Central Committee of the women's union, made a speech at the gathering.
There was a sports and amusements game of children.
Foreign guests enjoyed the game with the children. So the mood of the gathering revved up.
After the game the children spent a pleasant time, dancing and enjoying amusement facilities.

Children with Disabilities Mark International Children's Day in DPRK
Pyongyang, June 2 (KCNA) -- In Pyongyang on June 1, there was a meeting of children with disabilities to mark the International Children's Day (June 1).
Attending it were Yun Chang Il, chairman of the Central Committee of the Korean Federation for the Protection of the Disabled, officials concerned, children with disabilities, children of Tongmun Kindergarten No. 2 in Taedonggang District, nurses, kindergarten teachers and the children's parents.
At the meeting, Song Hyang Chun who is the rector of the Korean Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Disability delivered a speech. Then there were an art performance and sports and amusements contest of the children with disabilities and kindergarteners. -0-
