Kim Jong Un Looks Round Pyongyang Folk Park
Kim
Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman
of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the
Korean People's Army, together with his wife Ri Sol Ju, looked round the
Pyongyang Folk Park before its opening to public.
Accompanying
him were Choe Ryong Hae, Jang Song Thaek, Kim Jong Gak, Choe Thae Bok,
Pak To Chun, Kim Yong Il, Kim Yang Gon, Kim Phyong Hae, Mun Kyong Dok,
Kim Kyong Ok, Pak Thae Song, Hwang Pyong So, Kim Pyong Ho and Ma Won
Chun.
He was greeted on the spot by commanding officers of the KPA units engaged in the construction and officials concerned.
Acquainting himself in detail with the successful progress of the construction, he went round the park.
He saw round the sections devoted to the history, the miniature buildings of the modern era and the village of folk customs.
He also looked round the folklore museum in the park.
Warmly grasping the hands of Dr. Ri Sun Hui, researcher of the museum, he expressed thanks for her good explanation.
Looking at models of scenic spots including Mt. Kumgang, he said they add much to the beauty of the park.
Referring
to the fact that leader Kim Jong Il paid his deep attention to building
the park ranging from the park’s site to its design and construction,
he noted if Kim Jong Il went alive to see the wonderful park, he would
certainly be very pleased.
Kim
Jong Un gave instructions that would be the guideline in management and
operating the park so that the people and new generation would feel
greater pride in being a Korean.
He also enjoyed a Korean flute ensemble presented by soldiers of the KPA Unit 630.
