Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Inspects Major Munitions Factories
Pyongyang, August 14 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, gave field guidance to major munitions factories, including a factory producing tactical missiles, on August 11 and 12 to learn about the munitions production.
He was accompanied by Jo Chun Ryong and Kim Jong Sik.
Inspecting the factory producing tactical missiles, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un acquainted himself in detail with the missile production and the project for reinforcing the production capacity and upgrading the factory.
He expressed satisfaction over the fact that in recent years, the factory has perfected the scientific and technological issues arising in production, put the production processes on an automated and self-supporting basis and pushed ahead with the modernization of equipment while steadily expanding its production capacity, true to the WPK Central Military Commission's instructions on concentrating efforts on the production of tactical missiles, and thus carried out the immediate goal for munitions production as planned without fail.
He highly appreciated the factory for taking timely steps to rapidly establish the production processes of newly developed tactical missiles while turning out tactical missiles under serial production in a mobile way and for steadily pushing ahead with the modernization of the factory.
He set forth an important goal to drastically boost the existing missile production capacity on the basis of the successes already achieved by the factory so as to mass-produce missiles as required by the system of the expanded and strengthened frontline units and missile units and by the operational plans.
The qualitative level of war preparations depends on the development of the munitions industry and the factory bears a very important responsibility in speeding up the war preparations of the Korean People's Army, he said, appealing to the factory to bring about a surge in production for war preparations by giving full play to patriotic enthusiasm of the working class.
Kim Jong Un inspected the factory producing tactical missile transporter-erector-launchers (TEL) to learn in detail about the development and production of various TELs.
Stressing the significance of the rapid development and production of TELs for major weapons to be effectively used in battlefields in accordance with the military strategic plan of the Party Central Committee, he underlined the need to go all out for producing Korean-style TELs with superb quality, under the situation that the demand of units for equipment and the plan for its use were confirmed, and thus unconditionally fulfill the planned production target set forth by the Eighth Congress of the Party.
Saying that to realize the utility in the TEL production presents itself as the primary problem in view of the development of the national defence science and of efficiency under an operational situation, he called for producing more modern and highly efficient TELs substantially conducive to the army's perfect war preparations by steadily updating the design of TEL and focusing efforts on the modernization of production processes.
Kim Jong Un inspected the factory producing combat armored vehicles to learn about the development of utility combat armored vehicles, set forth at the Eighth Congress of the WPK.
He highly appreciated the achievements made by the factory in the work to expand and modernize the production capacity of armored vehicles in line with the far-reaching plan and strategic design of the Party Central Committee for bringing about the second revolution of armored forces.
He personally drove a newly-developed utility combat armored vehicle to learn about its militant performance and mobility and advanced the tactical and technical specifications to be reached in the development of Korean-style utility combat armored vehicle and the militant tasks facing the factory.
He also inspected the factory producing large-caliber control multiple rocket launcher shells to learn about the attainment of an important goal set forth by the Party Central Committee, the modernization of production processes and the normalization of multiple rocket launcher shell production.
Noting that the national defence scientific research field has made a great success through dynamic struggle after setting it as the most important work to realize the ballistic precise control of multiple rocket launcher shells, he said that the realization of the control of 122mm and 240mm multiple rocket launcher shells is a great revolution in the field of using multiple rocket launchers as it is a crucial change in the preparations for modern warfare and it can ensure the maximum defeating efficiency. Since a new technology was introduced into the KPA, it is important at present to turn out as one in the shell production so as to further raise the combat capability of the KPA artillery force, he added.
He also noted with appreciation that the factory, deeply aware of its position and importance in bolstering up the artillery force of the KPA, has made great progress in modernizing the production processes and dynamically accelerated the normalization of production by giving full play to the mental power of scientists, technicians and employees and bringing about a revolution in technology and increased production.
Saying that it is very urgent for bolstering up the artillery force of the frontline units to increase the production of control multiple rocket launcher shells at an exponential rate, he stressed the need to ensure boost in the production of shells in keeping with the army's increased operational demand and thus deploy more shells to the frontline units in depth.
He said that the KPA should have an overwhelming military force and get fully prepared for coping with any war at any moment so as to prevent the enemies from daring use their armed forces, and surely annihilate them if they launch an attack.
He stressed once again that the munitions factories have a very important role to play in implementing the idea of the 7th Enlarged Meeting of the 8th Central Military Commission of the WPK on making the KPA more thoroughly gird for a war.
Upon receiving his great trust and important instructions, officials, workers and technicians of major munitions factories made a firm pledge to remain absolutely faithful to the Party's cause with countless achievements in increasing the production of powerful means of war deterrence, deeply cherishing once again their heavy mission to reliably guarantee the completion of war preparations of the KPA for national reunification and defence of the country with the weaponry production.
Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Inspects Typhoon-hit Areas in Anbyon County of Kangwon Province
Pyongyang, August 14 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, inspected the typhoon-hit areas in Ogye-ri, Anbyon County of Kangwon Province and guided the recovery work.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un arrived on the spot and was reported on the typhoon damage by Kim Tok Hun, Jo Yong Won, Pak Jong Chon, Ri Chol Man and Ju Chol Gyu.
Due to the influence of downpour and tidal wave caused by Typhoon No. 6, the embankments of rivers broke down and 200-odd hectares of farmlands came under water in some areas of Kangwon Province some days ago.
Immediately after the outbreak of typhoon damage, Kim Jong Un saw to it that senior officials of the Party and the government went to the spots to learn in detail about the damage and pushed ahead with the recovery work. And he urged the Korean People's Army (KPA) units stationed in Kangwon Province to launch a campaign for rapid recovery from the damage by urgently deploying necessary forces.
Highly appreciating the KPA units which promptly went into the work for recovering farmlands from flood damage, displaying their militant might, he said that the army should be able to actively cope with the war and other sudden non-military tasks, including the recovery from disasters and perfectly perform its duty. It is the duty and absolute mission of the KPA to defend the life and security of the people at the risk of its life in any crisis, he added.
Saying that as the flooded farmlands were rehabilitated in a short span of time, it is quite possible to prevent the aftermath of damage, he gave an instruction on taking necessary agro-technical measures including the immediate nutrition management for protecting crops to the maximum and preventing bad effect on grain output.
He pointed out that 200-odd hectares of farmlands in Ogye-ri of Anbyon County were flooded, entirely due to extremely chronic and irresponsible work attitude of agricultural guidance organs and Party organizations in the region. The Party has strongly called upon all sectors and units to take decisive steps for strengthening the anti-damage measure and counter-crisis capability while making the occurrence of natural disaster every year a fait accompli and continued the work for assigning relevant instructions, but the officials of the region were insensitive to the state measures and took no measure and, as a result, the region suffered much damage than other regions, he noted, saying that a warning should be given to the state work system for having the capability to prevent natural disasters once again with this opportunity as an occasion.
He stressed the need for all regions and units to quickly find out dangerous locations and take measures for preventing damage in advance.
Int'l Affairs Analyst on Japan's Interference in Taiwan Issue
Pyongyang, August 13 (KCNA) -- Kim Sung Jin, an international affairs analyst of the DPRK, on Sunday issued the following article titled "Japan is getting closer to its ruin through interference in Taiwan issue":
Amid the international community's growing criticism and concern over the U.S. military support to Taiwan, Aso, vice-president of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan, recently visited Taiwan, which became another bone of contention.
It goes without saying that the recent visit of Aso, who can not be regarded as a lightweight in the Japanese political circle, was not a foreign junket merely to attract personal popularity.
As expected, he appeared at a so-called "international forum" just after his arrival to say that peace and stability of the Taiwan Strait is important for the stability of Japan and the international community. He talked such reckless remarks that now is the time for Japan, Taiwan, the U.S. and other "countries sharing the same intention" to have a determination to fight and to convey to the other side the clear will that the use of defence power in order to defend Taiwan in contingency will serve as a deterrent.
And it was reported that, at a talk with the chief executive of Taiwan, he made such voluble words that the relationship between Japan and Taiwan should be the one of helping each other in difficult times and sharing joy in good times, and they were long closeted over an evacuation way of Japanese residents in case of Taiwanese emergency.
His visit is an on-site inspection of a warmonger impatient to explode a fire at a hotspot, not merely a foreign tour.
No wonder, world media have unanimously analyzed the recent visit of Aso as a "trip for confrontation that maximizes the theory on threat from China", "reckless remarks inciting war fever" and an "elaborate operation of the Kishida regime".
With nothing can Japan justify its moves instigating the separatist forces of Taiwan to "independence" through undisguised interference in the inviolable internal affairs of China.
In recent years Japan, pursuant to the U.S. policy of deterring China, has got more brazen in interfering in the Taiwan issue, making such powder-reeking remarks that "contingency in Taiwan is just contingency in Japan".
In December last year, Japan issued new security strategy documents full of quibbles that China's military drills and missile launches in the Taiwan Strait pose a threat to the regional inhabitants. And in a "joint statement" made public after the U.S.-Japan summit in January this year, Japan stressed the importance of maintaining "peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait", calling for an "international order based on the rules".
It is an open secret that Japan is willing to share real-time data from reconnaissance drones with the U.S. and Taiwan and the Defence Ministry of Japan is scheming to increase its military forces stationed on an island in Okinawa Prefecture near Taiwan.
Against this backdrop, a vice-minister of Defence of Japan told the reckless remarks that if the Chinese continent uses armed forces in the Taiwan area, Japan is highly likely to provide assistance to Taiwan.
In the 1972 China-Japan joint communiqué, Japan firmly promised that "it entirely understands and respects the Chinese government's stand on Taiwan". Then, why Japan is now so much vociferated about the question of Taiwan, an inseparable part of China's territory, and is crossing the red line of China.
Clear is its sinister intention. Japan seeks to turn itself into a war state with the backing of its American master and realize at any cost the daydream of the "Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere" it failed to do in the last century.
Longing for the past days when it used to traverse the vast Asian continent, fluttering the blood-stained "sun flag", Japan is more persistently clinging to the ambition for becoming a military giant than ever before and is clamoring about "threats from neighboring countries" to find a pretext for its realization.
One of the "threats" is "theory on threat to Taiwan". This is clearly evidenced by the fact that in its "defence white paper" announced this year, too, Japan called for strengthening the "Self-Defence Forces" to cope with the military "threat" from China over the situation of the Taiwan Strait and decided to drastically increase the military spending of five years by 2027 to about 43 trillion￥.
The Kishida regime is now making crafty efforts to pave a wide avenue for a military giant, while calling for establishment of a NATO liaison office in Tokyo for the first time in Asia and for strengthened international cooperation to cope with the emergency in Taiwan. But this is nothing but a self-destructive act of further aggravating the regional unstable situation caused by the U.S. Asia policy for aggression and driving the Japanese archipelago into bottomless security mire.
China and other countries in the region are now watching with high vigilance the daily-increasing military moves of Japan.
The present is not the 30s in the 20th century when Japan invented the "Lugouqiao incident" to occupy the vast territory of China, but the 20s in the 21st century.
Japan should not run amuck, properly understanding the Chinese people's firm determination, will, desire and ability for the reunification of Taiwan.
The more desperately Japan interferes in the internal affairs of China, the deeper Japan will be driven into the abyss of ruin.
World-historic Example of National Liberation War in Colonies
Pyongyang, August 14 (KCNA) -- President Kim Il Sung led the final decisive battle against the Japanese imperialists to victory under the banner of independence and thus paved a new way for the national liberation war in colonies and set a world-historic example of independence by dint of self-reliance.
The anti-Japanese war was unprecedentedly arduous and complicated, but the President put forward it as a fundamental principle to achieve the independence of the country by relying on the efforts of the Korean people, not by anyone's help.
In those days, the movement for national liberation in various colonial countries had been conducted in the forms of petition, demonstration, uprising and riot. And the national liberation cause of the peoples of colonial and dependent countries had been recognized to be accomplished only by the support of the working class of the suzerain states.
But, all those forms of struggle could not deal a decisive blow at the imperialists armed to the teeth and no one bring independence to the peoples of colonies.
It was a lesson taught by the history of the national liberation struggle in many colonies which suffered bitter failure and setbacks that the imperialist aggressor forces cannot be repulsed and the cause of national liberation be achieved through peaceful and nonviolent struggle and by relying on others.
At the Kalun Meeting in Juche 19 (1930), the President solemnly clarified that the Korean people are the masters of the Korean revolution and it is most important to have a firm stand and attitude that the Korean revolution should be carried out by the Korean people themselves and in conformity with the actual conditions of the country.
At the Mingyuegou meeting in December 1931, he stressed the need to mobilize all the patriotic forces against the Japanese imperialists to the armed struggle, irrespective of wealth or poverty, partisanship and religion, whether nobles or commoners.
Since then, the anti-Japanese revolutionary war was formally declared under the slogan "Oppose arms with arms, and oppose counterrevolutionary violence with revolutionary violence!"
The decades-long colonial rule of the Japanese imperialists ended and the historic cause of national liberation was accomplished in Korea, thanks to the independent revolutionary line and the plan for national liberation maintained by the President in the whole period of the anti-Japanese revolutionary war.
The anti-Japanese revolutionary war waged by the Korean people was recorded in the history as the first national liberation war in which the oppressed popular masses of colonial countries defeated the imperialist aggressor forces with their own efforts with arms in their hands.
Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un is the true father of our children, who protects their bright future and shapes it into a rosier one. His parental love is permeated in Pyongyang Baby Home and Pyongyang Orphanage – the very cradle of happiness and palace of our children built on the bank of Taedong River in Pyongyang, the capital city of our country.
It was nine years ago from now, on August 12, 2014 when respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the construction site of Pyongyang Baby Home and Pyongyang Orphanage.
He had personally initiated the construction of Pyongyang Baby Home and Pyongyang Orphanage, selected the construction site at an excellent location with the noble view that children, with or without parents, are all successors to our revolution and the future pillars of the country. In June that year he personally visited the construction site and also worked on the blueprints several times.
When he visited the construction site again in the searing heat of August that year, he indicated in detail the construction plans and methods. He also saw to it that the issues arising in the construction were given priority so that the project could be completed by October that year.
Thanks to the parental love of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who devoted his heart and soul to provide the parentless children with palatial home as soon as possible, Pyongyang Baby Home and Pyongyang Orphanage were built into modern child-care facilities in less than five months’ time, boasting of over 250 rooms including nursing rooms, education rooms, physical exercise rooms, intellectual games rooms and medical treatment rooms; outdoor and indoor playgrounds and parks.
At the end of October that year, respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the completed Pyongyang Baby Home and Pyongyang Orphanage. He said that there would be no other homey place for children as these in the world and that he was so glad as if he had plucked a shining star off the sky, because the best and stylish house now stood ready for the kids without parents.
He said that it is the intention of our Party to ensure that child-care and education facilities like Pyongyang Baby Home and Pyongyang Orphanage are built in every province in the future so that such children, though they are without parents, would grow up healthy in the best living conditions, receiving the best education. He also opened up new vistas for the undertaking.
It is not merely Pyongyang Baby Home and Pyongyang Orphanage that are permeated with great efforts and deep care of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for the sake of merry laughter of all the children across the country.
For the past several years alone, extracurricular education bases were given a facelift: schoolchildren’s palaces in every part of the country including Mangyongdae School Children’s Palace in Pyongyang, and children’s camps in scenic spots, namely Samjiyon at the foot of Mr. Paektu in the northern part of the country and Songdowon at the coast of the East Sea of Korea. Every year, all the schoolchildren across the country are supplied with new school uniforms, school bags and school things. All such provisions for children are permeated with his tender love befitting a father.
Indeed, respected Comrade Kim Jong Un regards any work for the posterity as the national priority and derives inexhaustible strength from the happy faces of carefree children all across the country. Under his noble love, our children are regarded as kings and queens of the country and coming into full bloom as the future of the country.
