World of Fatherly Affection Engraved in the International Children’s Day
Today is the international children’s day, which is commemorated by many countries in the world to oppose all sorts of evil practices, safeguard the peace, and promote the happiness and health of children.
The international society has shown deep attention and devoted great efforts to the issue of children for more than 70 years, but numerous children are still suffering from poverty and destitution, and fading away, falling victim to violent crime and all social evils.
Recently, UNICEF and the International Labor Organization have revealed that more than 22 million children are distressed annually with all kinds of diseases including pneumonia with more than 800 000 of children under 5 years old among them losing their life, and that nearly 152 million children are forced into child labor.
Even in the Western countries boasting of the material prosperity, more than 13 million children are reportedly starving and the number of children in poverty reaches more than 9 million.
But a brilliant reality is unfolded today in the DPRK where the issue of children which was so much desired by the international society was resolved to perfection thanks to the great devotion of the respected comrade Kim Jong Un who is opening up the world of the most beautiful love for posterity.
Whenever the international children’s day comes around, the people’s hearts are deeply moved by the story of love for posterity which goes down with the cheerful and happy laughter of our children.
The respected comrade Kim Jong Un, considerate of the feelings of the kindergarten children without parents who would long for parent’s love, visited the Pyongyang Children’s Home on June 1, 2014. He gave them overcautious paternal love, giving a big hand to the singing children and doing the children favor, who asked him to stick a straw, holding out a yogurt box.
On this day, he said that we should take good care of the parentless children so that they can always grow up cheerfully and become famous scientists, athletes, artistes, soldiers and even heroes. He also made a promise that he would see to it that modern Baby Home and Children’s Home are built and that he would meet them again at the newly built Children’s Home.
When the respected comrade Kim Jong Un visited the newly built Wonsan Baby Home and Children’s Home on the international children’s day next year, he said in excitement that our country is the only one where the Party and state take full responsibility for the upbringing parentless children, that Wonsan Baby Home and Children’s Home are the witnesses which demonstrate the true picture of socialism of our own style which can neither be imitated nor made by capitalism, and that another asset for our children has been made.
Thanks to the fatherly love which finds the true worth of life and happiness in children’s laughter, modern schoolchildren’s camps, palaces and children hospital equipped with modern medical facilities are now built in the best places of the country and a new history of love is opened on this land where it has become a state policy to supply schoolchildren with uniform, school things and dairy products.
The world of parental affection marked with the international children’s day will be inherited forever, and the future of our children will always be bright and rosy under the beam of great sun.
U.S. – The Biggest Sponsor of Terrorism
Recently, the U.S. State Department has once again staged a trite and boring farce of re-designating the DPRK, Iran, Syria, Cuba and Venezuela as the “countries not cooperating fully in the fight against terrorism”.
The U.S. which is being called the “hotbed of terrorism”, “kingpin of terrorism”, is rating everything other countries do in their efforts for counter-terrorism as if it is the “judge of terrorism”. This constitutes the height of impudence and the mockery of the international society.
Terrorism is the means of existence for the U.S., the gangster state.
The U.S. is officially recognized by the international society as the No. 1 sponsor of terrorism and the world’s biggest criminal country of state terrorism.
The Korean War in the 1950s, the Vietnam War in the 1960s and 1970s, invasion of Grenada and Panama in the 1980s, the Gulf War and the War in the Balkans in the 1990s, the Afghan War in 2001, the Iraqi War in 2003, etc. All of these wars provoked by the U.S. were large-scale acts of state terrorism which took the lives of tens of millions of the civilians.
During the 1960s and 1970s of the last century alone, the U.S. committed numerous assassination and terrorist acts targeting government figures and individuals of other countries.
It is well-known fact the U.S. is behind the following incidents; the assassination plot of president Soekarno of Indonesia in the 1950s, the ousting of Mossadegh government from Iran, the murder of Lumumba, the first prime minister of DR Congo in 1961, the murder of Allende, the former president of Chile, in the 1970s, the assassination of Ratsimandrava, leader of Madagascar in 1975, the explosion of the plane with President Machel of Mozambique aboard in the mid-1980s, the suspicious death of Chavez, the former president of Venezuela, hundreds of attempted assassination plots against the Cuban Leader Fidel Castro, etc.
The U.S. has conducted the “counter-terrorism” taking it as its state policy with the incident of September 11, 2001 as momentum, but it has further increased terrorism without terminating it.
The international society has branded the Afghan War and the Iraqi War – the wars provoked by the U.S. under the pretext of “counter-terrorism” – as overt state-sponsored criminal acts. It is also expressing strong opposition to the high-handedness of the U.S. which uses the “counter-terrorism” as a tool for interference into internal affairs of other countries.
At dawn on January 3, 2020, the U.S. had used its drone “MQ-9A Reaper” to assassinate Qasem Soleimani, the commander of the Quds army of Iran Islamic Revolutionary Guard, at the Baghdad international airport. This is a typical example which shows the extent to which the U.S. criminal acts of terrorism reached.
The UN rapporteur for extra judicial killing has pointed out in the report released in July 2020 that the assassination of Soleimani is illegal and constitutes a wanton violation of the UN Charter.
On January 3, 2022, the Iranian president, in his speech delivered on the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of the death of Soleimani, asserted that the U.S. should be put on trial of the International Court of Justice for the assassination of Soleimani and get deserved court judgment.
The gangster-like and impudent terrorism by the U.S. is giving rise to the vicious cycle of terrorism ceaselessly taking place in every part of the world.
The “Islamic state”, an armed extremist organization given to all sorts of terrorism in the Middle East, is also an entity born out of the U.S. “counter-terrorism” which caused the socio-political disorder in the region.
It is not without reason that the former German chancellor had insisted that the U.S. invasion of Iraq under the pretext of “counter-terrorism” accelerated the formation and growth of the “Islamic state”, an armed extremist organization which is now active in the Middle East.
These facts go to prove that the U.S. is indeed a hotbed of terrorism, kingpin of terrorism and the biggest sponsor of terrorism.
As long as the U.S. exists on earth, terrorism would never be eradicated, and the tragic and vicious cycle of terrorism would remain as a cancer-like entity detrimental to the global peace and security.
Putting Forth Children as the “Kings” of the Country
From ancient times, a king’s residence was called a palace. The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in which children are regarded as the “kings” of the country builds a schoolchildren’s palace in every excellent place–the Pyongyang Students and Children’s Palace on Jangdae Hill in the central part of the capital city of Pyongyang.
The Mangyongdae Schoolchildren’s Palace renovated in Juche 104 (2015) has a total floor space of 120 000 square metres in an area of 300 000 square metres.
The building of the palace which looks like an open arm embracing children has over 200 rooms and halls for learning and training related to science, the arts and sports. It has a 2 000-seat theatre with a revolving stage, gym with various sports group and competition halls, combined artistic training hall, e-library, electronic amusement hall, 4-D simulation cinema and swimming pool that can be used for international competitions. Outside there are a car and tractor driving practice ground and a playground. The palace accommodates schoolchildren who are desirous of conducting extracurricular activities according to their wishes and aptitudes. Such palaces and schoolchildren’s halls can be found in scenic spots across the country.
Camps have been splendidly built for them in the city of Samjiyon at the foot of Mt Paektu in the northern tip of the country, on the picturesque Mt Myohyang, Songdowon on the shore of the East Sea of Korea, on Mt Ryongak in the suburbs of the capital city and many other scenic attractions.
The Songdowon International Children’s Camp renovated to suit the modern aesthetic beauty and the development trends of architecture has an international friendship children’s hall, gym, indoor swimming pool, outdoor playground, wading pool and archery range and all other conditions indispensable for camping by children. It provides a glimpse of devoted affection of the country for its children.
It was thanks to this affection that the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital that is called a babies’ palace could be built. As the country regards the birth of triplets as a good omen for its prosperity, it dispatches planes for the safe delivery in the capital city of triplets born in the remote places, and silver daggers and gold rings are presented to boy and girl triplets, respectively, as gifts.
Orphanages and baby homes in the capital city and provinces are provided with every condition for upbringing children as suited to their ages and mental features.
The Okryu Children’s Hospital in Pyongyang is a modern medical service facility. The hospital is furnished even with a helipad. During their stay in the hospital, the children have lessons along with medical treatment.
Bright and promising is the future of socialist Korea which puts forward the children as the “kings” of the country.
Beautiful Urban Landscape
