Inauguration Ceremony of Kangdong County Hospital Held with Splendor Pyongyang, November 20 (KCNA) -- At a time when essential projects at a trial stage are being successfully completed as part of the meaningful process of more expansive and new qualitative development in achieving the epochal cause of regional change acclaimed by the people and urged by the times, a modern regional hospital was inaugurated to prove the vigorous speed and bright prospect of the development of public health of our own style. The splendid inauguration ceremony of the Kangdong County Hospital for the Regional Development 20×10 Policy was held on Nov. 19 as another remarkable result of expanding and promoting the Party's grand programme for regional development on a long-term basis. The venue of the inauguration ceremony was filled with great pride of soldier-builders who dedicated their toil and sweat to successfully build the creation of civilization for the people, following the road of valuable service at the outpost of the gigantic regional revolution, and excitement of the participants who gathered to celebrate the great auspicious event brought about by the policy of the Workers' Party of Korea. Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, arrived at the Kangdong County Hospital together with leading officials of the Party and government. The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un appeared at the inauguration ceremony. The moment all the participants broke into thunderous cheers of "Hurrah!" All the participants paid the highest glory and tribute to Kim Jong Un who is making a sacred history of state building with his great pioneering spirit and absolute devotion, unfolding the bright blueprints for the all-round cultural efflorescence one after another out of his intense desire to provide the people with a new blessed life. Present at the ceremony were secretaries of the Central Committee of the WPK, members of the central leadership body of the Party in Pyongyang, chief secretaries of the provincial committees of the Party, chairpersons of the provincial people's committees, officers and service personnel of construction units, working people in Kangdong County, senior officials of Party and power organs in the municipality and officials and employees in the field of public health. Kim Jong Un made a meaningful speech in commemoration of the inauguration of the Kangdong County Hospital. Expressing his surging emotion of facing a moment that signals the second inauguration season for implementing the regional development policy and seeing the first entity of modern regional hospitals, he said that proclaiming inauguration in the year of groundbreaking is the standard speed of achieving our ideals and this will be sufficient to show the acceleration of the substantial rejuvenation of the whole country. And this is the speed of transformation and advance–the speed of Korea, he added. This hospital has helped completely reversing the existing conception of a regional hospital; the course of its construction was exemplary and its operation will serve as an ideal model for the development of public health in the regions, he said, hoping that the medical workers, who will work at this wonderful hospital and are more excited than anybody else, will always approach patients with heartfelt sincerity, tender care and warm affection and protect their health with high skills. Declaring that it is our Party’s determination to take revolutionary steps and advance more vigorously towards our-style modernization of public health to bring benefit to the people, he stressed that modernization of public health will guarantee the long-term development of the country and assure our socialist state of a bright future. He ardently called for working harder with ardent passion and soaring spirit befitting the pioneers of a great revolution for the good of our motherland and people, for the day when the regions have transformed themselves and we prosper while leading a cultured life and for the beautiful future when peace, laughter, happiness and amicability will brim over in all parts of our country. The participants responded with enthusiastic cheers to the passionate speech made by Kim Jong Un that gives a vivid picture of the future changes to be made in the life of the people across the country as soon as possible along with the realization of the long-cherished desire of the WPK which regards the people-first principle as its sacred political idea and lifeblood. Kim Jong Un cut the inauguration tape. Confetti was thrown and a large number of balloons rose up over the venue of the inauguration ceremony to be specially recorded in the nation-building history in the new era. Warmly acknowledging the cheers of the participants, Kim Jong Un wished the people in Kangdong County great joy and happiness in the future. All the participants offered their boundless thanks to Kim Jong Un, looking up with deep emotion to the benevolent father of the large socialist family, who is devoting himself to translating into reality the ideal life in which the whole country grows prosperous and everyone enjoys happiness and comfort and making the contemporaries lead the life. Kim Jong Un went round different places of the hospital. He said that the hospital is a new sphere of regional rejuvenation developed by the WPK, a valuable result of making a breakthrough in accomplishing the historic cause of rebuilding the public health infrastructure on an advanced basis and a nation-wide scale and an epochal entity which newly formulated the concept of regional hospital in the true sense of the word. For the WPK intended to guarantee the people's rights and interests and promote their health and build a more brilliant and affluent future, there is no more worthwhile and honorable revolutionary work than the struggle to build faster many more creations of new civilization warmly welcomed by the people so that they can see with their own eyes, get substantial benefits and feel happy about it, he added. Saying that we must neither slow down nor come to a standstill in our struggle to comprehensively and scrupulously create a development environment for advanced civilization in all regions of the country, he stressed the need to expand the construction of regional public health on a full scale from the coming year on the basis of reviewing the experience gained in this year's construction of model hospitals of different categories. Going round the hospital, the participants in the ceremony were struck with admiration at the civilized treatment environment and conditions of the hospital fully equipped with every condition for enabling inhabitants to fully enjoy an advanced medical service in their region like those in Pyongyang. The inauguration of the Kangdong County Hospital serves as a significant and auspicious event of convincing the people of a new life and well-being to be come true in all parts of the country and an occasion of leap and progress of great practical significance in further expanding and implementing the WPK's policy for the healthcare revolution.

The full text of his speech is as follows: Comrades, Just at this place over 280 days ago, we planned together the future of the revolution in public health. It seems as if it were yesterday when we held the groundbreaking ceremony, but now we are holding the inauguration ceremony. This is a moment that signals the second inauguration season for implementing the regional development policy, as well as a moment when we are seeing the first entity of modern regional hospitals. A transformation worthy of proudly representing our eye-opening era has been brought about quickly enough to strike us with wonder. Proclaiming inauguration in the year of groundbreaking is the standard speed of achieving our ideals, and this will be sufficient to show the acceleration of the substantial rejuvenation of the whole country, I think. This is just our mettle and the speed of transformation and advance which we are going to achieve amid an uninterrupted surge–the speed of Korea. The precedent for building in such a short period a healthcare facility, whose architectural processes are complicated, cannot be found in our proud history of construction. Today’s inauguration ceremony testifies that not only things are changing and developing but also our ambitions will be realized earlier than we desired and imagined. This year is the one of transformations worthy of note in the development history of Kangdong County. Modern regional-industry factories have been built, and a leisure complex and its neighbour, a perfect county hospital, have sprung up. Comrades, Our struggle, aimed at bringing a beautiful and vibrant life to the regional people, has now entered a comprehensive and full-scale stage. I am sure that the rapid steps we are taking from transformation to greater transformation will inevitably lead us to our far-reaching ideals of making the whole country change and prosper. Our strong will and self-confidence and our abilities and practice will prove this. Then we will have six modern medical facilities in all this year, including Pyongyang General Hospital. We can proudly say that this is a real transformation. With these valuable results of the public health revolution, which embody the true objective of our struggle and bring us closest to it, we can confidently call 2025 a year of amazing transformation. Comrades, These first-stage results are really wonderful, but there can be no satisfaction in our work to promote the people’s health. This hospital has encouraged us to conceive many plans and set ourselves more ambitious goals. It is our Party’s determination to take revolutionary steps and advance more vigorously towards our-style modernization of public health to bring benefit to all the people in this country. Modernization of public health will guarantee the long-term development of the country, and it will assure our socialist state of a bright future. Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Pays Congratulatory Visit to Ministry of State Security Pyongyang, November 19 (KCNA) -- The security organ of the Republic, a political guards of the Workers' Party of Korea and a mainstay of defending the revolution, is marking its 80th founding anniversary with pride in its glorious history. The militant course of the state security organ coincided with the long ruling history of the WPK is shining with the worthy traces of loyalty and patriotism of the security soldiers who always played the vanguard role in the sacred struggle for firmly safeguarding the lifeline of the Korean revolution and the existence, prosperity and development of the Republic. Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, paid a congratulatory visit to the Ministry of State Security of the DPRK on the occasion of the 80th founding anniversary of the state security organ on Nov. 18. The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was accompanied by Jo Yong Won, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Hyong Sik, department director of the WPK Central Committee, and Kang Yun Sok, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK. When Kim Jong Un arrived at the Ministry of State Security, all the security soldiers raised stormy cheers of "hurrah", looking up to him who has developed the state security organ into a strong fortress for defending the socialist system and the people, which protects and firmly guarantees the line and policy of the WPK and the sovereignty of the DPRK and the political stability of society, both in name and in reality with his outstanding leadership. Kim Jong Un was greeted by senior officials of the Ministry of State Security including Minister Ri Chang Dae. The national flag of the DPRK was hoisted. Kim Jong Un conveyed a congratulatory message to the Ministry of State Security marking its 80th founding anniversary. All the security soldiers broke into loud cheers once again with strong emotion and boundless joy of having the honor and enjoying happiness in the presence of the father whom they longed for every day and night for sacred defence they spent with loyalty and merits at the outpost of defending the Party's line and cause. Acknowledging the enthusiastic cheers, Kim Jong Un extended warm militant greetings to the security soldiers who have invariably followed the road of patriotism and loyalty, bearing in mind the revolutionary faith and obligation, pure loyalty and transparent class mission in the van of the struggle for defending the Party and the state. He said that the WPK only wrote the pages of legendary transformations and victories unprecedented in history, although it has made an arduous and thorny journey accompanied by hard fights against hostile forces from the first step since its birth as the ruling party and it is unthinkable apart from the feats and brilliant merits of the security officers who have steadfastly followed the road of defending the revolution in the van of the class struggle. The traces of loyalty our state security organ left in firmly preserving its character and nature as the security guards of the Party and firmly defending the victorious advance of the Korean revolution are brilliantly shining in the course of its long and proud struggle, he said, adding that the security organ of the Republic is, indeed, a reliable companion and trustworthy assistant of the Party. He once again warmly encouraged all the officials and servicepersons of the security organ of the Republic who have defended the cause of the Party, socialism and people and the lifeblood and vibrant dynamism of the ever-victorious Korean revolution in the severe frontline of defence in their lifetime or generation after generation, regarding the noble name, the political defender of the Party, as their greatest honor. Expressing belief that all the officers and servicepersons of the Ministry of State Security would fulfill their sacred and honorable responsibility and duty bestowed by the Party, state and people in future, too, he had a significant photo session with them. All the participants renewed their firm will to become reliable red shields of the Workers' Party of Korea, genuine security soldiers of the Republic to build manifold bulletproof walls around the Party Central Committee and thus consolidate the revolutionary and class positions of the DPRK as firm as an impregnable fortress and resolutely defend the dignity and interests of the state.
