Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Sends Message of Sympathy to President of PRC
Pyongyang, May 25 (KCNA) -- The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, sent a message of sympathy to Comrade Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and president of the People's Republic of China, on May 24.
The message reads as follows:
Upon hearing the sad news that a gas explosion accident at a coal mine in Shanxi Province of your country claimed heavy casualties, I express deep sympathy to you, Comrade General Secretary, and the Chinese party, government and people and to the bereaved families of the victims.
I heartily hope that the Chinese people will eradicate the aftermath of the damage as soon as possible under the leadership of the Communist Party of China and the Chinese government with you, Comrade General Secretary, as the core and the bereaved families will overcome their sorrow and regain a stable life.
DPRK Team Wins 2025-2026 AFC Women's Champions League
Pyongyang, May 24 (KCNA) -- The Naegohyang Team of the DPRK took the first place in the 2025-2026 AFC Women's Champions League and had the honor of winning a trophy.
There took place the finals between the Naegohyang Team and the Tokyo Verdy Beleza Team of Japan on May 23.
In the match, the best Asian women's football team (club team) decider, the DPRK players defeated their Japanese rivals 1:0.
The trophy and gold medals were awarded to the Naegohyang Team players and the MVP accolade to Kim Kyong Yong at the awarding ceremony.
Rodong Sinmun Calls for Advancing by Dint of Patriotism and Unity
Pyongyang, May 23 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Saturday says in an article that a country where all the people are united in the patriotic spirit is a genuine power.
