Art Work at Korean Revolution Museum Reminds Visitors of Founding Day of KPRA
Pyongyang, April 23 (KCNA) -- In a room of the Korean Revolution Museum of the DPRK that exhibits historical mementoes related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, there is an immortal art work reminding the visitors of the significant day, April 25, Juche 21 (1932), when the first revolutionary armed forces of the Korean people were founded.
The art work depicting the image of President Kim Il Sung who declares the birth of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army (KPRA) helps the visitors get to know how the history of the Korean revolution has been adorned with victories since it was pioneered in Mt Paektu.
With the founding of the KPRA, the Korean people came to have its genuine army for the first time in the nation's history. From that time, the glorious history of the Korean revolution advancing with the might of arms began.
When visiting the Korean Revolution Museum remodeled on the occasion of the 105th birth anniversary of the President in March 2017, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un looked around the hall where exhibits dealing with the period of the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle are on display. At that time, he watched the art work depicting the President for a long time, recollecting his feats for the national liberation.
He said that the Korean Revolution Museum helps the visitors well know about the development course of the Korean revolution and the path to be followed by it.
The history of the armed forces of the DPRK, which began with the red flag of the revolution 90 years ago, is shining as the one of eternal victory and glory as the revolutionary armed forces are now led by him.
Pyongyang Declaration - Banner of Socialist Cause
Pyongyang, April 20 (KCNA) -- Thirty years have passed since the adoption of the Pyongyang Declaration, the banner of the joint struggle of mankind for defending and advancing the cause of socialism.
The Pyongyang Declaration "Let Us Defend and Advance the Cause of Socialism" was adopted in Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK, on April 20, Juche 81 (1992) in the presence of leaders and delegates of political parties from different countries.
This made the global socialist movement enter a fresh stage and provided the world revolutionary parties with a programme of joint struggle and inspiring banner.
Leaders and delegates of many progressive parties in the world, including communist and workers' parties, praised the Pyongyang Declaration as an outcome of Chairman Kim Jong Il's distinguished idea and theory and tested guidance.
Ali Houdou, founder of the then Revolutionary Party of Benin, said that his party elected HE Kim Jong Il as its honorary chairman for two reasons that Kim Jong Il had led the Korean revolution and the world revolution with his prominent idea and theory and art of leadership and his party signed the Pyongyang Declaration and had the same purpose of struggle with the Workers' Party of Korea led by Kim Jong Il.
The world progressives highly praised Kim Jong Il as the great sun steering the development of the times by drawing and rallying all people as one with his magnetic charm and the DPRK as the center of unity guiding the world.
More than hundreds of political parties across the world have signed the Pyongyang Declaration so far, and the number of such parties is steadily increasing. This clearly proves the rare attractive power and great vitality of the Pyongyang Declaration.
The Pyongyang Declaration gives strength and courage to the revolutionary parties and the progressive people, still now displaying its great viability.
National Symposium Held
A national symposium in celebration of the 90th founding anniversary of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army was held at the People’s Palace of Culture on April 22.
It was attended by Ri Il Hwan, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, officials of central and Pyongyang municipal Party and administrative organs and working people’s organizations, and theoretical information officials at military organs and scientific, educational, art and literature, media and Party cadres training institutions and in the field of revolutionary relics preservation.
Presented to the seminars were papers explaining the immortal exploits of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il who built the Juche-oriented revolutionary armed forces and ushered in its golden age, and those of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.
Speakers praised that the President was an extraordinary great man who clarified the philosophy that the victory of the revolutionary cause and the sovereign independence and prosperity of the country and nation hinge on the arms of revolution from the beginning when he embarked on the road of revolution in his early years, and pioneered the brilliant history of building the Juche-oriented revolutionary armed forces for the first time in the history of the Korean nation spanning 5 000 years.
They stressed that the Chairman was the peerless commander who strengthened and developed the Korean People’s Army into the army of the leader without parallel in the world and into the powerful revolutionary army and put forward it as the backbone and main force of the revolution.
They also stressed that our revolutionary armed forces are greeting an unprecedented heyday of its development in a little over ten years, thanks to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un’s outstanding military wisdom, commanding art and energetic guidance.
They called on all officials, Party members, working people and the KPA soldiers to be loyal to the leadership of Kim Jong Un and achieve a great victory in the implementation of a new strategic target set forth by the Party.
Central Art Exhibition Marks 90th Founding Anniversary of KPRA
The central art exhibition opened at the Korean Art Gallery on April 22 to mark the 90th founding anniversary of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army.
Seen in the centre of the exhibition venue are art works depicting President Kim Il Sung declaring the founding of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army and the works dealing with the immortal exploits Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il performed.
Also displayed at the venue are art works showing the development of the armed forces of the Republic demonstrating its prestige as an invincible army which has possessed the greatest might under the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who is adding brilliance to the exploits the great leaders performed in army building.
The opening ceremony was attended by Ju Chang Il, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, officials and creators in the sector of fine arts and working people in the capital city of Pyongyang.
Sung Jong Gyu, minister of Culture, delivered an opening address.
After the opening ceremony, the participants looked round the exhibition venue.
European Union Should Not Act As U.S. Puppet
On April 21, European Union announced what is called unilateral “sanctions” denouncing our measures to enhance self-defence capabilities.
The farce of announcing “sanctions” this time is below any notice as it is a mean act of toeing the line of the U.S. which is in mortal dread of seeing us grow stronger. However, one point needs to be made explicit.
The right to self-defence is a legitimate right of a sovereign state.
The weapons tests conducted by us are a part of the regular undertaking for enhancing national defence capability which is a reliable guarantee for defending the dignity, safety and peace of the country and people, the strategic task put forward at the 8th Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea. And they have not posed any threat to security of the neighbouring countries.
The EU would also be well aware of this.
Nevertheless, the EU went so far as to stage a “sanctions” farce, not content with picking on our righteous exercise of sovereignty. This is a flagrant violation and open defiance of our sovereignty.
The EU only finds fault with our regular and planned self-defensive measures while keeping silent about joint military drills and test-launch of weapons frequently staged by the U.S. in south Korea, which, in itself, is the denial of the “impartiality” and “objectivity” advocated so much by EU.
The EU has a way of saying that it is ready to contribute to the peace and security of the Korean peninsula. But its current acts of following the U.S. in its hostile policy against the DPRK are, on the contrary, only causing negative results leading to instability and the escalation of tension.
It is no accident that media in several countries are recently laughing at the EU, an advocate of “strategic independence”, commenting that it is having a hard time after acting as a tool of the U.S. to help it realize its geopolitical objective.
The EU should keep in mind that it will only betray its vulnerability as a "puppet" of the U.S. if it is making a laborious effort to turn a blind eye to the root cause of aggravated tension on the Korean Peninsula and finds fault with the DPRK over its exercise of right to self-defense.
We never tolerate any attempt to provoke the dignity and interests of our state.

Performance Revs Up Festive Atmosphere
A grand art performance Song of Eternal Sun was given at Kim Il Sung Square in Pyongyang on April 15 in celebration of the 110th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung, founder of the DPRK. It fully displayed the yearning of the people for the President and their firm will to carry out his instructions.
