Statement of Kim Yo Jong, Vice Department Director of C.C., WPK
Pyongyang, April 1 (KCNA) -- Kim Yo Jong, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), on Saturday issued a statement titled "Reckless nuclear daydream invites self-destruction", which said:
The Ukrainian president's website recently carried an appeal calling for deploying U.S. nuclear weapons in territory of Ukraine or making nuclear weapons by itself.
It is reported that if more than 25 000 inhabitants sign the appeal within 90 days, the president will examine the proposed initiative and clarify the official stand on it.
This is a plausible veil of the public's expression of will, but it is not hard to guess that it is a product of the Zelenskiy authorities' sinister political plot.
It is a well-known fact that Zelenskiy clarified at the Munich Security Conference in February 2022 his stand to restore the position of the country's nuclear weapons state and officials of Ukraine openly revealed their nuclear ambition on several occasions.
The Ukrainian authorities, seized with the incurable megalomania that can defeat Russia, are incurring a nuclear disaster threatening their existence without any elementary consciousness of foresight and any ability to cope with its ensuing consequences.
Zelenskiy's talk about the introduction of U.S. nuclear weapons and the independent development of nuclear weapons is a manifestation of his very dangerous political ambition to prolong his remaining days at any cost by gambling with the destiny of his country and people.
It is the law of the world that if the authorities lack political sense and discretion, they will drive the country and nation into the abyss of ruin.
The Zelenskiy authorities, who always look up at their master and chant prayers of begging and solicitation, are not rivals of Russia, and if they are focused on nuclear daydream as now, they will be a more vivid target in Russia's nuclear sighting.
If the Zelenskiy authorities calculated that they can avoid the powerful fire of Russia only when they go under the U.S. nuclear umbrella, which had already been perforated, they are going to the wrong path, the last path.
Those stooges serving the U.S. as their master and blindly believing in its poor promise should clearly understand that awakening at an early date from the self-destructive nuclear ambition, little different from having a nuclear time bomb hung on their backs, is the best option for saving their lives.
KCNA Commentary on War Maniacs' Reckless Moves
Pyongyang, April 2 (KCNA) -- The DPRK has already and clearly warned that the U.S. and south Korea's military bluff and temerity do not work on it at all and such moves are no more than a wrong behavior of bringing themselves closer to a grave danger.
But the warmongers' desperate acts are going to the extremes.
The U.S. and south Korea staged large-scale joint military exercises, Freedom Shield, simulating an all-out war against the DPRK for 11 days from March 13, the longest-ever period. Their war hysteria is running up to the climax along with the start of Ssangyong, a joint landing drill.
The U.S. staged an air-to-air live firing and air-to-surface bombing drill, aimed at raising the capability of precision strike at the DPRK's "core targets", in the West Sea of Korea with involvement of the south Korean puppet air force and the 51st combat air division of the 7th U.S. air force for five days from March 20 when the Ssangyong drill was launched. Then, it conducted a joint tactical drill for "occupying city" of the DPRK with involvement of the south Korean puppet armed forces for four days from March 26.
The Ssangyong drill, which involved dozens of warships and other vessels including the U.S. navy's amphibious assaulting ship Makin Island laden with scores of F-35B stealth fighters, various types of fighters and amphibious assaulting armored cars, the U.S. 1st Marine Expeditionary Unit and the U.S. nuclear carrier Nimitz, to be additionally dispatched first from the U.S. mainland in case of contingency on the Korean peninsula, the special warfare units of its satellite countries and the south Korean puppet armed forces, went through a provocative phase called "decisive action".
The "decisive action" drill, allegedly core of the landing operation, was staged by the vast combined forces of the U.S. and the south Korean puppet military conducting under a large-scale firing support for landing target area, the landing, assault and occupation of targets by turns in the air and sea.
With the beginning of the drill, special warfare units of the U.S., south Korean puppet forces and satellite countries launched a "landing attack" by using C-130 transport planes and on the coast, marine shock forces on landing crafts "advanced" into an area simulating the territory of the DPRK by amphibious assaulting armored cars and LCACs.
In the "decisive action" drill, combined marines were to land in the relevant area under the fire support of fighters and warships of the U.S. and south Korean puppet forces and then move to the target area to capture and secure the beachhead and fulfill their mission. Finally, it was a war drill for aggression to occupy the DPRK's territory through preemptive attack from A to Z.
Meanwhile, two B-52H nuclear strategic bombers of the U.S. air force flew into the air of the Korean peninsula again on March 30 to openly pose a threat to the DPRK. At the same time, the chief of the carrier strike group and other warmongers told with bluff that they have various means and can mount attack in any sphere.
And stealth fighters from the U.S. Navy's amphibious assaulting ship Makin Island conducted a drill for striking ground targets in the sky above Kangwon Province of south Korea from March 30 to April 1.
The U.S. plans to stage another joint naval drill in the East Sea of Korea next week with the involvement of the U.S.-Japan-south Korea three-party naval forces, including U.S. Navy's nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Nimitz which entered into the Pusan operation base on March 28.
The U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces are openly crying out for the "occupation of Pyongyang" and "beheading operation", which they had secretly pushed forward in the past for fear, and getting hell-bent on the drill to carry them into practice. This shows that their hostile acts against the DPRK have reached the worst phase.
This being a hard fact, those of the defense and state departments of the U.S. have parroted that the military drills with south Korea are defensive and routine ones that have lasted for a long time. But, they can never conceal with such veils as "defensive" and "routine" their aggressive colors as provocateurs and the fact that the current exercises are a deliberate military action prompted by their sinister scheme and option to wreck peace and stability in the Korean peninsula and the region.
The U.S. and the south Korean puppets openly announced that they would lead the recent war exercises to the largest-ever "combined joint firepower annihilation drill" in forthcoming June with involvement of all the ground, naval and air combined forces and latest weapons. This reminds the people and army of the DPRK of June 1950 when they had to be subject to war calamity, and is further arousing their high vigilance.
The U.S. and its followers should never forget the fact that their rival state has possessed the nuclear attack capability in practice as well as the characteristics of the people and army of the DPRK which do not make empty talk.
Now that the U.S. and the south Korean puppets have openly made a military provocation to the DPRK, the latter's option will be in conformity with it.
It will be quite clear how the DPRK's nukes will be used if the war deterrence does not work on those who are running amuck, not being afraid of nuclear weapons.
They should think twice to truly avoid unlucky catastrophe and should be mindful that they will have to pay dearly for their rash acts.
Japan’s Missile Deployment Invites Disaster
Recently, Japanese Defense Ministry set up a new camp of land “self-defense forces” on the Ishigaki Island, Okiwana, and deployed the “Model 12 surface-to-ship guided missile” and “Model 03 intermediate-range surface-to-air guided missile”.
As a result, land “self-defense forces” camps have been set up on the three westernmost islands of Nansei Islands.
According to media, there is a high probability that the U.S.-made cruise missile “Tomahawk” with the range of 1,250km and the “Model 12 surface-to-ship guided missile”, the range of which will increase to more than 1,000km, will be deployed on these islands in the future as a part of Japan’s moves to possess the “capability for counterattack”.
Considering that the distance between Taiwan and Nansei Islands is 110km at the shortest, we may well guess the purpose of the recent missile deployment.
When these missiles are deployed at the western end of Nansei Islands, the Chinese mainland will be placed within Japan’s firing range, to say nothing of the eastern coast of China.
Japan is justifying its military build-up on every occasion by spreading false rumors like “Taiwan emergency is Japan emergency”, “Today’s Ukraine is tomorrow’s East Asia” and highly publicizing a “threat from China”.
Last February, it was revealed that the U.S. suggested that Japan deploy the intermediate-range missiles to enhance its capability for “defence against China” in the eastern and southern seas of China.
In this regard, “Global Times” then wrote that this project will pose a serious threat to the countries in the region, and China has the right and capability to make strategic moves to counter all latent provocations.
China also warned that if the U.S. army in Japan and the Japanese “self-defense forces” interfere in the Taiwan issue, they will be faced with China's resolute counterattack and those immobile islands will be identified as easy targets to be demolished.
The local residents are raising their voices of protest and concern:
No missile bases on Ishigaki Island; Okinawa reduced to battle site again.
The above protests further emphasize the dangerous and wrongful nature of Japan’s missile deployment there.
Japan had better remind itself that its attempt at possessing the "capability for counterattack" will only incur security crisis upon its own islands and should refrain from foolish act of presenting itself as the U.S. cannon fodder in future.
Country Prioritizing Education
April 1, the school opening day, is just up ahead.
The start of a new semester unfolds with it an unusually delightful scene across the country - happy children going to school dressed up in new school uniforms; they carry Sonamu schoolbags on their backs, filled with Mindlle stationery. Looking at the bright, happy faces clad in school uniforms, parents feel gratitude towards the country for its care bestowed upon the future generation.
Providing school children with well-fitting school uniforms – this is the eternal policy of our Republic. And modern factories have been built to produce attractive notebooks, school bags and other stationery bearing the brands of Mindlle and Sonamu, ensuring favourable conditions for studies of young people.
The DPRK has excellent educational conditions that allow all children to learn to their hearts’ content and bring their hopes and talents into full bloom, thanks to the world’s most superior universal 12-year compulsory education system.
The universal 12-year compulsory education system is divided into 1 year of pre-schooling and 11 years of school education. The curricula include the teaching of general elementary knowledge, secondary basic knowledge, and specialized basic knowledge, together with an advanced course for select students with unusual talent.
Dozens of teachers’ colleges and universities of education have been established throughout the country to train teachers for the primary and secondary schools engaged in the universal 12-year compulsory education.
Competent teachers, graduates of the universities which are well equipped with facilities for multimedia education, virtual reality education and intellectual education, are providing solid foundations of knowledge for preschool children and primary and secondary schoolchildren to occupy the fortress of cutting-edge science.
Since the beginning of its foundation, our country has directed great attention to educational work, regarding the education of young generation as an important matter affecting the destiny of the country.
In 1956, soon after the completion of post-war reconstruction that followed the three-year war, our country set a precedent in Asia for adopting and implementing the policy on compulsory primary education.
In 1959 universal compulsory education system was introduced, in 1967 universal 9-year compulsory technical education system and in the mid-1970s universal 11-year compulsory education system.
Thanks to the superior educational system, the working people’s levels of general knowledge and basic technical knowledge have surpassed at a rapid pace compared with those in the countries with the fee-paying education system, and our country has emerged as an intellectual power with millions of learned people.
Our country performed an unprecedented miracle in the world history of economic construction by completing the industrialization in 14 years and built socialism by dint of self-reliance. And it could possess a reliable war deterrent. These are all attributable to the potent talent forces trained through the excellent educational system and the policy of our country to prioritize education.
A thriving future is always reserved for the country which prioritizes education. This also goes to the government that sets great store by talented scientists and technicians trained through the excellent educational system.
This is the eternal truth recorded in the annals of history of our country - the country of education.
Clear Demonstration of Will for Physical Response
Entering this year the US and its vassal forces have staged five dangerous war games including a joint air drill and US-south Korea joint military exercise in a row. To cope with their war moves that have reached the critical point, the DPRK conducted a firing drill of ICBM Hwasongpho-17 on March 16.
The ICBM climbed up to the highest altitude of 6 045km and flew a distance of 1 000.2km for 4 151 seconds before landing on the target area in the open waters of the East Sea of Korea.
On the 18th and 19th the country conducted its tactical nuclear operation units’ combined tactical drill simulating nuclear counterattack. The launched tactical ballistic missile exploded accurately at the height of 800m above the target area on the East Sea of Korea, set in its 800km strike range.
The drills were aimed at sending the enemy a stronger warning and bringing home to them the concern over an armed conflict which became a threatening reality. And they clearly demonstrated the country’s tough will for physical response.
