Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Visits Central Cadres Training School of WPK and Gives Commemorative Lecture

Pyongyang, October 18 (KCNA) -- Under the seasoned and experienced leadership of the great Party Central Committee, the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) is setting an epochal example in the cause of party building and demonstrating the dignity, honor and heroism of the powerful country all over the world along with the new era of the Juche revolution.

The immortal great programme guaranteeing the new century of our party building was clarified at a time when the absolute trust of all the people in the great WPK dynamically leading the Korean-style socialist cause to a new victory despite unprecedented challenges and difficulties is being fully displayed.

Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, visited the Central Cadres Training School of the WPK, the highest seat for training party cadres, on Oct. 17 to give a commemorative lecture to be specially recorded in the history of development of our Party.

The respected General Secretary was greeted by Principal Paek Hyong Chol and Party Secretary Jang Song Ho of the Central Cadres Training School of the WPK on the spot.

He was presented with a fragrant bouquet by a senior official of the school.

All the teaching staff and students of the school burst into stormy cheers of "Hurrah!" for the General Secretary with high honor of holding him, whom they yearn for so ardently, at the school on the significant day of founding the DIU, the origin of our revolution and the glorious historical root of our Party.

He waved back to the enthusiastic cheers and sent warm greetings to the teaching staff and students.

Accompanying him were Secretaries Jo Yong Won, Ri Il Hwan, Kim Jae Ryong, Jon Hyon Chol and Pak Thae Song and Department Director Ju Chang Il of the WPK Central Committee.

The General Secretary first appreciated the fact that the Central Cadres Training School of the WPK, which has fulfilled its important mission as a pedigree establishment for training middle-ranking cadres along with the glorious history of the WPK, is making positive contributions to strengthening the ranks of Party cadres. And he had a significant photo session with its teaching staff and students, expressing expectation that all of them would share intention, will and practice with the Party Central Committee and more dynamically and resolutely strive for the strengthening and development of the Party and the brilliant realization of our sacred fighting programme.

He looked round the monument inscribed with President Kim Il Sung's autograph displayed at the school.

He said that the precious autographic instructions the President, founder of the WPK, personally wrote to the first graduates of the one-year class of the Central Party School in August 1948 are the immortal masterpieces comprehensively reflecting the immutable guidelines and principles that have been maintained in the whole course of the Party building and activities.

He said that when the proposition reflecting the character and style of the Workers' Party is instilled into the hearts of the students as the basis of their life and struggle, it is possible to train them into genuine officials of the Party who have made absolute and devoted service to the people.

Going round the room for education in the revolutionary history and other places of the school, he learned about the educational situation.

Strengthening the education of the Central Cadres Training School is a core issue related to the future of the Party, he said, adding that in order to confidently foresee its centuries-old history, it is necessary to renovate the pedigree work for training reserve cadres of the Party as required by the changing era as it is entrusted with the important mission and duty of training core elements to steadfastly carry forward the building of the Party.

Referring to the decision of the Party Central Committee to make the Central Cadres Training School of the Workers' Party of Korea a university above the university and dynamically push forward with the work for enhancing the educational level and role of the Party cadre-training institutions at all levels with it as its parent body, he called for making a great step forward in improving the educational work of the school with the significant day when the roots of the Korean revolution were laid as a new starting point so as to guarantee the future of the Party.

Then, Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, gave a historic commemorative lecture titled "On the Orientation of the Building of Our Party in the New Era and the Tasks of the Central Cadres Training School of the Workers' Party of Korea" before the teaching staff and students of the Central Cadres Training School.

The lecture hall was filled with great joy and excitement of the participants receiving his revolutionary lecture to be kept as the honor of their whole life at the platform.

When Kim Jong Un finished the lecture, the participants broke into stormy cheers and loud applauses full of excitement to hear the unique idea and theory on party building of Korean style in conformity with the requirements of the new era of the Juche revolution.

All the participants hardened their firm will to arm themselves with the revolutionary idea and fighting policies of the great Party Central Committee and work hard for the brilliant success and victory of our noble idea and sacred cause, feeling with great excitement the moment of history when a powerful weapon was born for steadily developing the dignified WPK, which has recorded the longest history of power under the absolute support and trust of the people, into the promising party.

The great guidance of Kim Jong Un over the Central Cadres Training School of the WPK will shine long in the history of the WPK as a historic guidance that indicated the bright path for the party building in the new era and set up a new turning point in the work for training the core of the WPK, thus consolidating the organizational and ideological foundation of the Party in every way and vigorously promoting the struggle to further strengthen the WPK into a powerful political General Staff of the revolution, an elite and iron-willed vanguard rank of the revolution and a genuine motherly party.

Large-scale Modern Greenhouse Vegetable Production Base

Pyongyang, October 18 (KCNA) -- A large-scale modern greenhouse vegetable production base was built in the Ryonpho area of South Hamgyong Province, the DPRK.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un wisely led the work to set a new standard of the greenhouse farm in the country and to build a new base for creating Korean-style civilization in the rural areas, the one of the world's largest-ever in production area and capacity and the one of realizing the modernization, intensive and industrialization of vegetable production on a high level in South Hamgyong Province, a large industrial area of the country.

The vast area of over 830 semi-vaulted double-film hydroponic greenhouses can plant and grow various kinds of fruit and leafy vegetables, and tens of them with geothermal heating system can cultivate vegetable seedlings all the year round.

It is possible to produce vegetables even under non-heating conditions and to introduce soilless cultivation method into greenhouses to increase productivity while saving labor.

A high-quality greenhouse film with high tensile strength was used to suit the climatic features of the windy Ryonpho area.

The characteristics including consumption of nutrients by vegetables and growing stages were measured scientifically and an automatic supply system of nutrients was introduced and an integrated production system with high performance was built.

The farm has made it possible to re-use the drained nutrient solution by sterilizing it and adding the nutrient supplements to put production on a normal basis while saving a lot of fertilizer.

Various kinds of vegetables produced by the Ryonpho Greenhouse Farm will soon reach the people in South Hamgyong Province including Hamhung City.

Workers’ Party of Korea and Factor of Its Invincibility

More than 70 years have elapsed since the Workers’ Party of Korea was founded. During the period, the Party has tided over many trials and difficulties without any slightest vacillation or frustration, demonstrating an invincible might.

Then, what is the factor of its invincibility?

Deep Root and Solid Foundation

It was recorded in history that the Workers’ Party of Korea was founded on October 10, 1945. But, in fact, it can be said that the Party began to strike root on October 17, 1926, when President Kim Il Sung (1912-1994) formed the Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU).

The formation of the DIU was a fresh starting point and the origin of the communist movement in Korea and the Korean revolution. From this root came the programme of the Party, the principles for the Party building and activities, and the backbone for its foundation.

The WPK was different from other political parties in the mode of its foundation.

In his work The Path of the Korean Revolution published on June 30, 1930, Kim Il Sung put forward the line of building a party as a political general staff of the revolution and pointed out that the party should be formed not by proclaiming the party central committee first but by setting up fully prepared basic party organizations and then steadily expanding them.

Accordingly, the first party organization was formed on July 3, 1930, and later he named it the Society for Rallying Comrades.

True to Kim Il Sung’s policy on party founding, a large number of party organizations were formed in different parts of Korea as well as in northeast China where the anti-Japanese revolution struggle was briskly waged.

Kim Il Sung saw to it that the Party committee was established in the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army, the first revolutionary armed force of the Korean nation, and that the Party committee of the revolutionary army played the role of the leading political organization that guided the overall Korean revolution.

After national liberation (August 15, 1945), he directed primary efforts to building up basic Party organizations before proclaiming the Party central committee.

As a result, Party organizations at all levels, ranging from provincial Party committee to ri Party committee, the lowest echelon, to say nothing of Party committees of the major factories and enterprises, were formed. This provided the condition to unite broad masses of the people as one and lay an organizational and ideological foundation for founding the Party.

On the basis of this preparation, on October 10, 1945, Kim Il Sung founded the Workers’ Party of Korea by admitting all the communists, who were active at home and abroad, with the anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters as the backbone.

The WPK greeted a new heyday of its development in the latter half of the 1960s under the leadership of Chairman Kim Jong Il (1942-2011). He put forward the idea of building the Party into the motherly Party and translated it into brilliant reality.

He ensured that the people-oriented policies was a consistent policy of the Party so as to help the people lead a happy life without any worries about food, clothing, education of their children and medical care. He made sure that the WPK pursued the benevolent politics with a feeling of a mother who cares more for sick and wounded children. Just as children follow their mother, so the Korean people rallied around the Party and ushered in a new phase of single-hearted unity between the Party and the masses which was yet to be known in the world.

Absolute Support from the People

The economy of the country is still faced with every manner of challenges and trials and its people cannot be said to be leading an affluent life now. However, the people are supporting the ruling WPK absolutely.

Firstly, it is because the Party shares weal and woe with the people.

In August, 2020, when Taechong-ri, Unpha County, North Hwanghae Province was hit by great flood, General Secretary Kim Jong Un of the WPK drove to the damaged area. He took measures to remove the flood damage at the earliest possible date, and had the flood victims including the elderly and children stayed at the building of the county Party committee while the officials of the county Party committee worked in makeshift tents.

He saw to it that the residents in the flooded region were provided with the aid materials by the officials of the Party Central Committee and their families and the officials went out to rural areas hit by the typhoon to help them repair the damage and take care of the people’s living.

When the malignant COVID-19 made inroads into the country this year, Kim Jong Un took every possible measure to control and manage the epidemic disease, and had medicines he had prepared with his family members sent to needy families. Also, he, in disregard of his own safety, visited pharmacies in Pyongyang and took proper measures. Officials of the Party Central Committee and other Party committees at all levels sent medicines, food grains and daily necessities to the victims.

Secondly, it is because the WPK plants the people’s demands and interests in its policies and implements them to the letter.

The Eighth Congress of the WPK held in January 2021 adopted the decision to construct 10 000 flats each year in Pyongyang so as to solve the housing problem of the citizens by building 50 000 flats in the capital city. Despite the country’s unusually difficult economic situation, Kim Jong Un strongly pushed ahead with the year’s 10 000 flats project, saying that an undertaking for the good of the people brooks no delay. In addition, he had exquisite terraced houses built on the Pothong riverside to give them to working people including meritorious and model workers, scientists, educationists and writers as a present.

Accordingly, 10 000 flats were built on Songhwa Street, 800 flats in the Pothong Riverside Terraced Houses District and thousands of flats in the Komdok area, and thus people moved into new houses.

Even when the state epidemic prevention work was switched to the highest anti-epidemic emergency level and a measure was taken to lock down every region and isolate work, production and living units from one another, Kim Jong Un made sure that projects for the people such as 10 000 flats construction in the Hwasong area in the capital city and Ryonpho Greenhouse Farm construction were carried on without letup. Thanks to his measures a bright prospect was opened to complete the projects within a scheduled period.

Kim Jong Un gave a definition that the selfless devotion for the good of the people is the mode of existence of the Workers’ Party of Korea and has devoted his all for the people. It is quite natural that the WPK enjoys absolute support from the people and demonstrates the invincible might.
