Mausoleum of King Kyonghyo   Splendid Celebrations Held to Mark 80th Founding Anniversary of KPA Air Force Pyongyang, November 30 (KCNA) -- The Air Force of the Korean People's Army has defended the dignity and prestige of the great Workers' Party of Korea with absolute loyalty, heroic fighting spirit and matchless courage and firmly protected the inviolable sovereign airspace of the DPRK and the security of its people. It is celebrating its 80th founding anniversary in its history shining with victories and glory. A celebration event took place with splendor at Kalma Airport of the 59th Kil Yong Jo Hero Flying Group of the Second Air Wing on Nov. 28 to mark the 80th founding anniversary of the KPA Air Force. Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, attended the celebration event to congratulate and encourage all the officers and men of the heroic people's Air Force. The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was accompanied by his dear daughter. Kim Jong Un first visited the bust of Hero Kil Yong Jo. Recollecting with deep emotion the worthwhile life of the hero pilot who left the indelible traces of loyalty over the sky with the steadfast spirit of defending the country and the revolution, he laid a flower before the bust of the martyr and paid tribute to him. The air force base on the east coast, the venue for the celebration event, was seething with boundless excitement and joy of the service personnel of the Air Force who would significantly celebrate the historic day, the origin of the building of the Juche-oriented air forces, in the presence of Kim Jong Un whom they have always longed for. When Kim Jong Un arrived at the airport amid the playing of welcome music, all the service personnel of the Air Force broke into enthusiastic cheers, looking up to the invincible and iron-willed commander, the great father who has ushered in a great heyday of the development of the DPRK's armed forces with his outstanding army-building idea and extraordinary military wisdom and bestowed the greatest honor to be shined in the militant course of the people's Air Force forever. The KPA Air Force courteously greeted the Supreme Commander of the armed forces of the DPRK with the highest respect. He met Air Chief Marshal Kim Kwang Hyok, commander of the KPA Air Force, and Air Marshal Om Ju Ho, political commissar of the KPA Air Force, and extended warm congratulations to all the service personnel of the Air Force. The DPRK national anthem was solemnly played. The head of the guard of honour of the KPA Air Force made a salute. Kim Jong Un paid militant salute to the colours of the KPA Air Force and its subordinate units shining with legendary military feats and reviewed the guard of honour of the KPA Air Force. Commanding officers of the combined air units at all levels of the Air Force, pilots, commanding officers of arms and missile soldiers raised stormy cheers of hurrah, looking up to the Supreme Commander. Kim Jong Un warmly congratulated them on the auspicious holiday of the people's Air Force and warmly waved back to them. Leading officials of the Party and the military attended the ceremony of welcoming Kim Jong Un. Then Kim Jong Un went up to the observation platform and watched the demonstration flight of the Air Force marking the Day of Air Men. Planes of heroic pilots of the DPRK took off one after another with deafening sound to significantly celebrate the holiday. He warmly encouraged the proud girl pilots An Ok Gyong and Son Ju Hyang, watching their demonstration flight in two-plane formation. Pilots of the Air Force, who were making demonstration flight in the presence of Kim Jong Un on the significant founding anniversary, displayed their skillful flying technique to the full, giving off beautiful tricolour vapour trails and setting off fireworks in the clear and blue sky of the country. Kim Jong Un encouraged and gave warm salute to the pilots each time whenever they displayed different combat aviation with flexible control. The pilots flied at low altitude over the observation platform to express their absolute loyalty to and the most ardent trust in Kim Jong Un. Kim Jong Un met the pilots after the demonstration flight and shook hands with every one of them, praising them for demonstrating high level of aviation capable of perfectly carrying out any combat mission. Highly appreciating the aviation displayed by the girl pilots, Kim Jong Un said that they are proud comrades representing the women of the country and hoped that they would remain faithful to their duties with the honour of the Air Force and the dignity of the women of this country. The confrontation in the sky, which must be settled only by victors and losers, life and death, is a confrontation of ideology and faith before being a confrontation of arms and equipment and the victory in the battle is decided not by the ultra-modern fighters but by pilots armed with indomitable spirit, he said, adding that it is the great strength and pride of our Party, state and people to have an elite Air Force with the overwhelming political and ideological might incomparable with any army of other countries. And he had a photo taken with the pilots. Then he had a significant photo session with the service personnel of the KPA Air Force on the occasion of its 80th founding anniversary. Every honorable flight path of the people's Air Force which has made the long journey of sacred defence in the last 80 years since it was founded as the flying corps of new Korea under the leadership of the Party was a world-startling legend, he said, adding that the myths of the invincible Air Force recorded in the high and clear sky are brilliantly shining in the history of the country as a symbol of high ideological and mental power, indomitable fighting spirit and heroism of our army. He affirmed that the blue sky of the country would always be peaceful and the mightiness of the Air Force would be immortal as we have reliable service personnel of the Air Force who are performing feats during their flights of loyalty, dedicating their lives without hesitation both in the grim moments or peaceful days. At the end of the photo session, the sky of November reverberated with thunderous shouts from the service personnel of the Air Force chanting the slogan of death-defying defence to demonstrate their immutable pledge to devote their youth and lives for Kim Jong Un, the sun of eternal life and the sky of destiny, and for the future of the beloved motherland. A commemorative meeting was held with splendor to mark the 80th founding anniversary of the KPA Air Force in the presence of Kim Jong Un. Present there were Jo Yong Won, Pak Jong Chon and Jo Chun Ryong, secretaries of the WPK Central Committee, No Kwang Chol, minister of National Defence of the DPRK, and other leading officials of the WPK Central Committee and the Ministry of National Defence, commanding officers, pilots and service personnel of the KPA Air Force and its discharged veterans. Kim Jong Un met the discharged generals who were specially invited to the celebrations of the Day of Air Men and highly appreciated the devoted life and feats of the veteran generals of the Air Force who devoted their whole life to strengthening the defence capability of the country's airspace. Air Chief Marshal Kim Kwang Hyok, commander of the KPA Air Force, made a commemorative report. The reporter referred to the pride of the 80-year-long history of the air forces which have grown along with the sacred history of the Party as the first service founded under the care of the great WPK and waged a honorable struggle for the country, the revolution and the people, and to the militant course of the Air force which has developed into a core service of the People's Army under the leadership of the Party. In the great era of Kim Jong Un, our Air Force is enjoying the greatest heyday of invincibleness and development as an ever-victorious heroic service, he said, adding that thanks to the great ambition and energetic leadership of the respected Supreme Commander who puts forward the strengthening of the Air Force as a crucial requirement for building a powerful army, a new era of developing the Air Force into the elite forces is being ushered in and the politico-ideological might of the Air Force and its full combat capability are being fully demonstrated. He stressed that it is the greatest happiness of the service personnel of the Air Force to hold in high esteem the great brilliant commander, the great father who instills in them an unshakable revolutionary faith and strong will to defend the country unto death in any adversity, a courage and pluck to pierce through the clouds in countless layers and endless shower of bullets without hesitation and wisdom and bravery for sure victory and meticulously leads them. Saying that the most powerful group of revolutionary soldiers demonstrating their might as the strong army for devotedly defending the Party Central Committee, the elite armed forces-this is a valuable appellation the country and the people gave to the Air Force which has always flown along the route of loyalty for 80 years and a great honor to be preserved forever by all the officers and men of the Air Force, the reporter ardently called upon all of them to more courageously fight for the eternal prosperity of the country and the security of the people, the immortal prestige and glory of the KPA Air Force, true to the ideas and leadership of Kim Jong Un. Kim Jong Un made a significant speech on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the KPA Air Force. Saying that he is pleased to attend the celebrations to recollect the proud history of the Air Force and pay tribute to its great 80-year-long journey, he extended warm congratulations to the valiant pilots significantly greeting the founding anniversary of the Air Force of the DPRK and all the service personnel of the Air Force who are now struggling for the defense of the airspace and the wellbeing of the people. He said that he is proud of the founding year of the Air Force which coincides with the one of the Workers' Party of Korea as the numbers etched on the colours of the Air Force tell, and its reputation as the first-born service of the People's Army and moreover, he can not but feel reverence for its honorable militant flights for 80-long years. He noted that no rhetoric can represent the long and glorious history in which the Air Force has covered its course since it was founded and all its noble and heroic undertakings. The Air Force should be counted first when we talk about a witness to the victories of the sacred defence struggle in the two centuries, he said, adding that among the three services of the KPA it has experienced more actual battles than other services in peacetime, not in wartime, and produced more than 130 heroes, including two double heroes, and dozens of hero units and sub-units since the first pilot hero of the KPA emerged. This clearly shows that the Air Force has always stood at the forefront of the struggle to protect the sovereignty and national interests, and that its distinguished military feats are holding the most brilliant place in the course of the development of the KPA, he said. He expressed his deep affection for the Air Force which has stood by him at the crucial moments that decided the destiny and future of the state and the people and guaranteed reliable security through the absolute execution without any mistake. He noted that the mission of all the services and arms of the KPA to defend the sovereignty was heavy and they received orders with the same voice, but any military group was no match for the Air Force in terms of the unconditional and perfect implementation of the orders. And the appellation of the first-born service, the eldest service of the KPA is the proud honour it gained as it was founded first in the history of building the regular armed forces of the country and the service personnel of the Air Force performed distinguished feats by always carrying out on time without fail the duty which is more important than the ones of the other services and the arms, he noted. Once ordered, our pilots never thought of their lives and their dogfight skills and the legendary tales about their air battles were the fruits of the bravery and heroism of the invincible pilots, he said. Even in the face of serious military threats and the irresistible natural disasters, they successfully carried out the orders without thinking of their only lives, and thus performed the unprecedented miracles and feats, he noted, adding this is the immortal characteristic peculiar to the Air Force. Saying that the operating area of the Air Force includes the inviolable airspace, land and waters and places of great changes, he noted that the appellation of the Air Force will as ever shine in the vanguard of leading the whole army in the worthwhile struggle calling for the feats of the revolutionary army. Noting that the Air Force will be given new strategic military assets and entrusted with a new important duty, he said that the expectations of the Party and the country for the Air Force which will play a role in the exercise of the nuclear war deterrent are very great, and that the Air Force should resolutely repulse and control all sorts of espionage acts and possible military provocations of the enemies to encroach upon the sovereign airspace of the DPRK with the overwhelming spiritual strength and offensive spirit. Saying that he firmly believes that the sky of the country will be blue and the country will be in peace forever thanks to the pilots and he extends thanks to them for displaying the service spirit of always remaining faithful to the country, he wished the heroic Air Force military feats and the pilots good health. Announcing that the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK adopted a decree on awarding the honourable Order of Kim Jong Il to the Air Force marking its 80th founding anniversary at the proposal of the Central Committee and the Central Military Commission of the WPK, he said that he would convey a joint congratulatory message of the Central Committee and the Central Military Commission of the WPK. All the participants raised enthusiastic cheers of "Hurrah!", looking up to the respected Supreme Commander who has repeatedly shown deep love and trust in the Air Force, glorifying its 80-year-long history at the zenith of the most worthy dignity and honour. He conveyed the joint congratulatory message of the Central Committee and the Central Military Commission of the WPK to the KPA Air Force marking its 80th founding anniversary and conferred Order of Kim Jong Il, the highest order of the DPRK, on it. He awarded the certificate of order to the commander of the Air Force and fixed Order of Kim Jong Il on the colours of the KPA Air Force. All the participants witnessed with deep emotion and joy the historic moment to be specially recorded in the history of the development of the Juche-oriented air forces. Warmly congratulating the enthusiastically cheering service personnel of the Air Force, Kim Jong Un expressed belief that all the pilots, commanding officers and service personnel of the brave air forces would glorify the 80-year-long proud history inscribed in the glorious colours with myths of continuous victory and firmly defend the dignity of the DPRK and happiness of its people. Then an art performance was given at the Myongsasimni Theatre to mark the 80th anniversary of the founding of the KPA Air Force. Kim Jong Un enjoyed the performance together with officers and men of the Air Force. Put on the stage were numbers praising the feats performed by the heroic people's Air Force which has demonstrated its honour as the ranks of elite soldiers firmly armed with the ideas and will of the WPK, the ranks of strong soldiers that always win victory in every battle and the ranks of point-men who make a breakthrough in socialist construction. The audience were deeply moved by the stirring songs of the revolutionary army expressing the firm will of the service personnel of the Air Force who would set the eternal coordinates of their life on the flight path of defending the Party Central Committee unto death and glorify the immortal appellation of the great Kim Jong Un's Air Force and its ever-victorious history forever. The performance was acclaimed by the audience as it impressively represented through excellent artistic depiction the high ideological and spiritual world of the service personnel of the KPA Air Force and their devoted service for the country and the people. That evening the Ministry of National Defence of the DPRK hosted a banquet to mark the 80th anniversary of the founding of the KPA Air Force. Present there on invitation were military and political commanding officers at all levels of the KPA Air Force, pilots, service personnel and discharged generals. Kim Jong Un attended the banquet together with leading officials of the Central Committee of the WPK and commanding officers of the Ministry of National Defence. The venue of the banquet was wrapped in warm feelings of blood ties between the leader and the soldiers forged in the militant journey for defending the sacred sovereignty of our state and strengthening the capability for defending the airspace. The commanding officers and pilots of the Air Force expressed thanks to Kim Jong Un who bestows all kinds of loving care and privileges on the service personnel of the Air Force, spending the whole day together with them. They vowed to become the most brilliant star for defending the country and the revolution, fully demonstrating the might of the lifeguards of the Party Central Committee and the DPRK. The celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the KPA Air Force held with splendor in the presence of Kim Jong Un marked a significant occasion in demonstrating the unshakable faith and will of the heroic people's Air Force to steadily carry forward the glorious tradition of loyalty and feats and firmly guarantee the history of the great succession of the Juche revolution forever as befitting the first-born service of our revolutionary armed forces.   Mausoleum of King Kyonghyo Pyongyang, November 30 (KCNA) -- The Mausoleum of King Kongmin is the tomb of King Kyonghyo, the 31st King of Koryo (1352-1374). It is a tomb with a stone chamber. The rectangular compound of the mausoleum is treble-terraced and elongated from east to west. It is approached up a slope by broad stairs. There is an elevation of 15 meters high between the foot of the approach and the upper terrace. Around the tomb are stone statues of sheep and tigers alternately. There are eight statues of civil officials on the middle terrace, four on either side, and eight statues similarly arranged of military officers on the lower terrace. The Mausoleum of King Kyonghyo is a typical tomb in the periods of Koryo which shows the outstanding talents of the ancestors of Koreans.

Wie KCNA (www.kcna.kp) am 5. Dezember in einem Bericht festhielt, entwickelt sich die Landwirtschaft in der Demokratischen Volksrepublik Korea (DVRK) rapide und erfolgreich.

Vor allem die Getreideproduktion erlebe einen Aufschwung, ebenfalls der Reis- und Weizenanbau.

Das Projekt der Reisfelder-Bewässerung umfasse mehr als 500 000 Hektaren (ha), wie von der Partei der Arbeit Koreas (PdAK) geplant.

Viele Städte, Kreise, Farmen, Arbeits- und Arbeitsunterteams sowie Bauern hätten mit ihren Getreideernten den jährlichen Produktionsplan übererfüllt.

Die historische 4. Plenartagung des 8. Zentralkomitees der PdAK, die ein Programm der Agrarrevolution in der neuen Aera angenommen habe, führe die Landwirtschaft einem Aufschwung entgegen und verwandle die ländlichen Gebiete der Republik in eine blühende Landschaft.

An jeder Plenartagung des Zentralkomitees der PdAK habe der hochverehrte Generalsekretär KIM JONG UN die Wichtigkeit der Förderung der Agrarproduktion unterstrichen und entsprechende Massnahmen für die materielle Unterstützung der ländlichen Gebiete ergriffen.

Im Jahr 2023 hätten die Bewässerungsprojekte mehr als 200 000 ha der Felder umfasst und seien ein Erfolg gewesen.

Mehr als 3000 Pumpstationen seien errichtet und über 2400 km Pipelines gelegt worden.

Im Jahr 2024 seien die Bewässerungseinrichtungen für mehr als 60 000 ha renoviert worden, wodurch die von Trockenheit und Hitze betroffenen Regionen bewässert worden seien.

Die Mechanisierung der Landwirtschaft mache Fortschritte. So seien im Jahr 2023 etwa 43 000 Maschinen eingesetzt worden.

In diesem Jahr hätten 11  Farmen und über 170 Arbeitsteams mehr als 8 Tonnen (t) Getreide pro ha erwirtschaftet.

Der staatliche Plan der Getreideproduktion sei 2023 dank dem Einsatz der Offiziellen und der Bauern übererfüllt worden.

Im Jahre 2024 seien Hunderttausende von t Getreide mehr produziert worden als im Jahr zuvor.

Auch der Fischfang verzeichne einen Aufschwung.

Die Landwirtschaftspolitik der PdAK entwickle sich erfolgreich.

Wir freuen uns über die Erfolge der landwirtschaftlichen Revolution im sozialistischen Korea. Dies verbessert das Lebensniveau der Bauern erheblich.

Wir wünschen der PdAK und dem ganzen koreanischen Volk weitere durchschlagende Erfolge in der Landwirtschaft.

Der auf der Juche-Ideologie basierende Sozialismus koreanischer Prägung verwandelt die ländlichen Regionen der DVRK in ein wahres Paradies der Bauern!

Der Oberste Führer KIM JONG UN, Generalsekretär der Partei der Arbeit Koreas (PdAK) und Vorsitzender für Staatsangelegenheiten der Demokratischen Volksrepublik Korea (DVRK), sandte heute ein Glückwunschschreiben an Thongloun Sisoulith, Generalsekretär des Zentralkomitees der Laotischen Revolutionären Volkspartei (LRVP) und Präsident der Demokratischen Volksrepublik Laos (DVRL), zum 50. Jahrestag der Gründung der DVRL.

Die DVR Laos wurde am 2. Dezember 1975 gegründet und ist seither ein eng mit der DVRK befreundeter sozialistischer Staat.

Generalsekretär KIM JONG UN eröffnete das Glückwunschschreiben mit folgenden warmen Worten:

"Lieber Genosse,

Ich sende Ihnen warme Glückwünsche und Grüsse und durch Sie der Laotischen Revolutionären Volkspartei, der Regierung der Demokratischen Volksrepublik Laos und dem laotischen Volk anlässlich des 50. Jahrestages der Gründung der DVRL."

Im Glückwunschschreiben wurden die Erfolge des laotischen Volkes bei der Verteidigung des Sozialismus, der Festigung des volksdemokratischen Systems und des Gedeihens und der Entwicklung des Staates unter der Führung der LRVP gewürdigt.

Generalsekretär KIM JONG UN gab seiner Ueberzeugung Ausdruck, dass die Freundschaft und Kooperation zwischen beiden Parteien und Ländern sich weiter gut entwickeln, getreu den beim Treffen beider Staatsoberhäupter in Pyongyang getroffenen Vereinbarungen.

Am 28. November hatte Generalsekretär KIM JONG UN dem laotischen Präsidenten einen Blumenkorb mit der Aufschrift Warme Glückwünsche zum 50. Jahrestag der Gründung der Demokratischen Volksrepublik Laos gesandt.

Wir feiern die enge Freundschaft und Kooperation DVRK-Laos als eine feste Bastion des Sozialismus in Asien. Dieses Freundschaftsband wird nie zerbrochen. Das ist gewiss.

Die DVRK und das koreanische Volk halfen in den 1960er- und 1970er-Jahren dem laotischen Volk in dessen Widerstandskampf gegen den Aggressionskrieg des USA-Imperialismus.

Beide Länder sind Mitgliedsstaaten der Bewegung der Blockfreien Staaten.

Am 28. November wurde in der Demokratischen Volksrepublik Korea (DVRK) der 80. Jahrestag der Gründung der Luftwaffe der Koreanischen Volksarmee (KVA) gefeiert.

Zur Zeit ihrer Gründung, kurz nach der nationalen Befreiung Koreas, hiess die Armee noch Koreanische Revolutionäre Volksarmee (KRVA). Sie wurde im Februar 1948 zur KVA umgeformt.

Die Luftwaffe der KVA war die erste Luftwaffe in der Geschichte Koreas.

Der Oberste Führer KIM JONG UN, Generalsekretär der Partei der Arbeit Koreas (PdAK) und Vorsitzender für Staatsangelegenheiten der DVRK, wohnte in Begleitung seiner geliebten Tochter der Festkundgebung auf dem Flughafen Kalma des 59. Regiments "Held Kil Yong Jo" der 2. Luftdivision bei.

Er wurde begleitet von Jo Yong Won, Pak Jong Chon und Jo Chun Ryong, Sekretäre des Zentralkomitees der PdAK, Verteidigungsminister No Kwang Chol, Offizieren und Soldaten der Luftwaffe und Offiziellen der Partei, der Regierung und der Armee sowie von Veteranen.

Als erstes besuchte Marschall KIM JONG UN die Büste des Helden Kil Yong Jo, eines Märtyrers der Luftwaffe, und legte eine Blume nieder.

Er hielt an der Feier eine Rede.

Er sei stolz auf die 80-jährige Geschichte der Luftwaffe und auf deren Flugeinsätze.

Wenn man von den Kämpfen der KVA rede, sollte man als erstes die Luftwaffe hervorheben. Sie habe mehr als 130 Helden hervorgebracht.

Marschall KIM JONG UN betonte, dass die Luftwaffe bei der atomaren Abschreckung und der Bekämpfung der Spionage und der militärischen Provokationen der Feinde eine wichtige Rolle spiele.

Er gab bekannt, dass das Präsidium der Obersten Volksversammlung der DVRK ein Dekret angenommen habe, die Luftwaffe zur Feier ihres 80-Jahr-Jubiläums mit dem ehrenvollen KIM-JONG-IL-Orden auszuzeichnen. Damit werde dem Vorschlag des Zentralkomitees und der Zentralen Militärkommission der PdAK gefolgt.

Marschall KIM JONG UN gab seiner Ueberzeugung Ausdruck, dass dank den Piloten der Himmel über dem Land immer blau sein wird und der Frieden erhalten werden kann.

Er sandte der Luftwaffe ein gemeinsames Glückwunschschreiben dieser beiden Gremien und heftete den KIM-JONG-IL-Orden an das Banner der Luftwaffe der KVA.

Er äusserte die Ueberzeugung, dass die Piloten der Luftwaffe der KVA die Würde der DVRK und das Glück des Volkes verteidigen würden.

Die Feier des 80. Jahrestages der Gründung der Luftwaffe der KVA in Anwesenheit des hochverehrten Marschalls KIM JONG UN und seine bedeutende Rede bringen die Ehre zum Ausdruck, dass die Luftwaffe die erste Waffengattung des neuen demokratischen Korea kurz nach der nationalen Befreiung (15. August 1945) und der Gründung der PdAK (10. Oktober 1945) geworden sei.

Wir beglückwünschen die heroische und kampferprobte Luftwaffe der KVA herzlich und militant zum 80. Jahrestag ihrer Gründung. Möge sie den Himmel über der DVRK und den Frieden siegreich verteidigen!

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was accompanied by Jo Yong Won and Pak Jong Chon, secretaries of the WPK Central Committee, Kim Jae Ryong and Kim Yong Su, department directors of the WPK Central Committee, and Kim Chol Sam, chief secretary of the North Phyongan Provincial Committee of the WPK. Kim Jong Un was greeted on the spot by commanding officers of the units of the Korean People's Army and officials of the Paektusan Hero Youth Shock Brigade and designing and relevant institutions involved in the construction. He went round such main buildings as dome-shaped glass hydroponic greenhouse and greenhouses on soil, trunk road in the area of the farm, embankment construction site, etc. to learn in detail about their progress. Thanks to the devoted labor of the army units and the youth shock brigade members in the honorable day-and-night struggle for creation to greet the glorious Party Congress, the overall construction of the Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm is vigorously progressing at 97 percent. After the completion of the land leveling for the greening and the creation of a windbreak forest in the farm area, the land leveling of the areas around the natural parks and reservoir has been carried out at 97 percent and 87 percent respectively, the planting of turfs in the areas covering several hundred hectares at 95 percent and the pavement of trunk road in the farm area and roads in the greenhouse sections at 72 percent. And the farm is now making trial runs of the electric power, water supply and drainage systems for greenhouses, vegetable science research center, public buildings such as hostel, neighborhood-serving amenity, nursery and kindergarten and hundreds of dwellings. According to the Party's decision, all the projects for the development of this area have progressed on the principle of optimization to ensure profitability, he said, adding that, in particular, the improvements of the vast surrounding area such as road construction and landscaping in permanent embankment section have been carried out at a high qualitative level to preserve the features of the region and it is really good. He noted with great satisfaction that the islet, once called a barren land, has turned into a golden islet with great potential for leading the regional development and the improvement of the material and cultural life of the local people. Noting that we are witnessing the great changes in the region, which can never be neglected, he said that it is a pleasure to implement the grandiose plans and tasks for the comprehensive rejuvenation one by one and increase the wealth of creation but what our Party values more than it is that the young people are growing up to be the great cedars of patriotism in this course. He put stress on some tasks for completing the project and clarified the ways for the preparation of the operation of the farm and its management.   KCNA Commentary on U.S. Reckless Military Maneuvers Indicating Origin of Instability of Regional Situation Pyongyang, November 28 (KCNA) -- The U.S. reckless military moves that started at the very beginning of this year, gravely threatening the strategic stability in and around the Korean peninsula, are becoming more blatant even in the closing days of the year. Recently the U.S. and the ROK staged an anti-special operation naval drill in the waters near Phyongthaek, Kyonggi Province under the pretext of countering someone's "infiltration" by mobilizing a guided missile destroyer, anti-submarine helicopters, sea-patrol planes and other naval and air forces. And the U.S. has additionally deployed F-16 fighters to the Osan Air Base in Kyonggi Province, as part of the second-stage operational test of the "super-powerful wing", to intensify the joint operational capability. The U.S. is running amuck in its moves to increase the operational capability of two "super-powerful wings" it formed after forward-deploying F-16 fighters from the Kunsan Air Base in the ROK and the Misawa Air Base in Japan to the Osan Air Base only 64km from Seoul. It is an irrefutable fact that it is aimed at deterring the DPRK and regional countries by force and securing air superiority in contingency. The U.S.-ROK military drills and arms buildup targeting independent sovereign states in the region are not confined to the Korean peninsula. According to the media, the U.S. and the ROK launched the combined anti-submarine warfare exercises "Silent Shark" involving submarines and sea-patrol planes in the waters near Guam on Nov. 18 and the U.S. marines set up the Forward Arming and Refueling Point on Yonagni Island, Japan, within hailing distance of the Taiwan Strait on Nov. 21. Meanwhile, the U.S. often talked about "freedom of navigation" is going to stage the "Proliferation Security Initiative" drill in the sea of Japan from early December, together with its vassal forces including Japan and the ROK, aimed at violating the legitimate right of other countries to navigate and realizing the complete sea blockade. The U.S. habitual and reckless military moves in disregard of the repeated concerns of the international community clearly indicate where the origin of the instability of the regional situation is and who is the performer of the "unilateral changes to status quo" advocated by it. Through the military moves of the U.S. and the ROK, the regional countries are correctly diagnosing the essence of the "improved relations with regional countries" and "stability of situation" that they call for externally. The stereotyped expression of "regular drill" can never cover up the aggressive nature of the provocative acts with extreme belligerence and offensive nature and the fact that the U.S. is just an evil factor fostering the possibility of armed conflict. The U.S. is the chieftain threatening the peace and stability and destroying the strategic security balance. This fact has already been settled as an absolute value in the perception of the independent sovereign states in the region. It is the consistent principle and immutable stand of the DPRK to be prepared for countering the confrontation-oriented moves of the enemy states and any development of the situation that may result from them. We have already made it clear that all threats encroaching upon our sphere of security will become direct targets of the DPRK and be managed in a necessary way. The DPRK will further devote itself to defending its national sovereignty and interests and protecting the regional peace and stability through the exercise of its essential rights as the U.S. continues to renew its record in the demonstration of its military strength threatening the regional countries.   Housing Construction in Hwasong Area Progresses Apace Pyongyang, November 28 (KCNA) -- The military and civilian builders are pushing ahead with the interior projects at the final stage, after finishing the exterior ones for the construction of 10 000 flats at the fourth stage in the Hwasong area, with bold courage and redoubled efforts. The headquarters for building 50 000 flats in Pyongyang Municipality is conducting effective review and evaluation so that the builders carry out the detailed works as required by the construction methods while enhancing the role of construction officials and supervisors. While taking measures to ensure the internal temperature for coping with unfavorable seasonal conditions, it is organizing demonstrations according to processes purposefully so as to carry out daily quotas. The military and civilian builders involved in the construction of 10 000 flats at the fourth stage in the Hwasong area, with their political awareness that the historic cause for the comprehensive rejuvenation of the state and the promotion of the people's well-being begins with construction and is carried out along with construction, are making uninterrupted innovations with the enthusiasm to present a gift of loyalty to the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Die Europäische Regionalgesellschaft der Juche-Ideologie (ERGJI) hielt am 2. November zur Feier des 40. Jahrestages ihrer Gründung in der finnischen Hauptstadt Helsinki das Seminar Unabhängigkeit, Frieden und soziale Entwicklung ab.

Das Seminar wurde präsidiert von Prof. Dr. Matteo Carbonelli, Generaldirektor der ERGJI, und Juha Kieksi, Generalsekretär der ERGJI und Vorsitzender der Finnischen Juche-Ideologie-Studiengruppe.

Eine Delegation der Botschaft der Demokratischen Volksrepublik Korea (DVRK) in Stockholm (Schweden) und eine Delegation des Internationalen Instituts der Juche-Ideologie (IIJI) wohnten dem Seminar als Gäste bei.

Delegierte aus Russland, Oesterreich, Bulgarien, Dänemark, Deutschland, der Slowakei und aus Grossbritannien waren online zugeschaltet.

Die Koreanische Vereinigung der Sozialwissenschaftler (Korean Association of Social Scientists - KASS) sandte eine Grussbotschaft an das Seminar.

Ken-ichi Ogami, Generalsekretär des IIJI, sandte den Beitrag Die Welt ist geeint unter der Solidarität der antiimperialistischen Self-Reliance.

Matteo Carbonellei gab einen Rückblick auf die 40-jährige Geschichte der ERGJI und pries die Das-Volk-zuerst-Politik des Generalsekretärs KIM JONG UN und der Partei der Arbeit Koreas (PdAK).

Alexander Woronzow, ein namhafter russischer Experte für internationale Beziehungen, hielt online eine Rede.

Dr. Dermot Hudson, Vorsitzender der Britischen Juche-Ideologie-Studiengruppe, hob hervor, dass es vielen europäischen Ländern an echter Unabhängigkeit mangle, da sie Mitglieder der NATO seien und USA-Truppen dort stationiert seien. Deshalb sei es besonders wichtig, die Juche-Ideologie in Europa zu verbreiten.

Child Health Day Marked in DPRK   Proud Labour Gifts of Creators of Spirit of Kangwon Province to Glorious Party Congress Inauguration Ceremony of Hoeyang Army-People Power Station Held with Splendour Pyongyang, November 21 (KCNA) -- Kangwon Province greeted the significant and auspicious event of inauguration which signals the completion of the hydropower stations it pledged before the Party when the whole country is full of the spirit of the vigorous advance of all the people to celebrate the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea as the one of great victory and glory. The Hoeyang Army-People Power Station, which has been completed following the army-people power stations in Ichon, Munchon, Sepho, Phyonggang and Kosong, is the last project of the six hydropower stations on which Kangwon Province has concentrated all its efforts after setting it as an important task to build them without fail for the regional economic development and the improvement of the people's material and cultural life, true to the important task of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to go on to push ahead with the construction of small- and medium-sized hydropower stations. The completion of another power base which the province had envisaged during the five-year plan for national economic development makes it possible for Kangwon Province to further strengthen its solid foundation for proudly writing a new history of prosperity along with the era of regional development and its development potential for creating a more affluent life by its own efforts. The inauguration ceremony of the Hoeyang Army-People Power Station was held with splendour on November 20. The venue of the ceremony was filled with great pride and self-confidence of the people in Kangwon Province who have built valuable assets of prosperity with their own efforts and confidence in their own strength. Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, attended the inauguration ceremony. When he arrived at the venue of the inauguration ceremony, stormy cheers of "Hurrah!" shook the earth and sky. All the participants enthusiastically cheered, looking up to Kim Jong Un, who personally visited the power station in the mountainous area to bestow great love and honour on them. Present there were members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK and other leading officials of the Party and government, chief secretaries of the provincial committees of the WPK, chairpersons of the provincial people's committees, officials and workers in Kangwon Province and Hoeyang County, military and civilian builders and employees of the power station. The DPRK national anthem was played. Ju Mun Jin, chairman of the Kangwon Provincial People's Committee, delivered an inaugural speech. The speaker said that the people in Kangwon Province, who are imbued with the revolutionary idea of self-respect and self-sustenance of the WPK as absolute truth, greeted the moment of honour of making a report of loyalty and victory to the Party Central Committee on the building of another proud creation. The building of the six power stations simultaneously by the efforts of the province was a stiff and gigantic nature-remaking project baffling the existing idea and common sense and there were not a few obstacles in the construction, but thanks to the trust and leadership of the Party Central Committee, Party members and other working people in the province could wage a heroic struggle for the consecutive grand construction full of confidence and courage, he noted. He referred to the fact that Kim Jong Un solved all the problems and meticulously led the construction of the power stations saying that it is necessary to help Kangwon Province set an example in realizing the intention of the Party which calls for living on the strength of self-reliance. He stressed that the power stations built in different parts of the province including the Hoeyang Army-People Power Station are a precious fruition of the revolutionary ideas of Kim Jong Un and a proud monument to the new era erected thanks to his absolute trust in the people in Kangwon Province and energetic leadership. The speaker expressed the firm determination to make Kangwon Province take the lead in the worthwhile struggle for carrying out the tasks at the new stage of socialist construction to be set forth by the Ninth Congress of the WPK true to the ideas and leadership of the Party Central Committee. In the period when the whole country is filled with enthusiasm to substantially wind up the year 2025 that must be recorded in history without fail as a year of victory, it is very auspicious that the Hoeyang Army-People Power Station is to be inaugurated, he said. He noted that those power stations, which have sprung up in different parts of the province that truthfully tells the history of the struggle of the army and the people to defend the country together, are fortresses of faith in socialism built by the concerted efforts of the soldiers and civilians to make firmer and more beautiful this precious land defended at the cost of blood. For the future, for the coming generations–this is the inscription to be carved in the power stations in Kangwon Province by the times and history, he said, extending warm thanks, on behalf of the Party Central Committee, to the people in Kangwon Province and the service personnel of the Korean People’s Army for presenting to the Ninth Congress of our Party a valuable asset, which will bring benefits to the coming generations as well, by building solid power production bases, self-reliant and self-supporting, through a resolute and uninterrupted struggle. Saying that Kangwon Province completed the construction of six hydropower stations including the Hoeyang Army-People Power Station during the term of the Eighth Party Central Committee, true to the pledge it made to the Party, he noted that it is a manifestation of the indomitable will of its people to unyieldingly go along the road of self-reliance, following the Party only, with unwavering faith in the justness of the line and policies of our Party. Enjoying the panoramic view of the magnificent dam of the power station, he noted that great is the might of the great unity between the army and the people and the monumental edifices which were recorded as another brilliant page in the history of the struggle of the people in Kangwon Province will hand down forever the patriotic feats of our generation who are ushering in the era of comprehensive national prosperity and writing a new history of regional transformation. Acquainting himself with the construction of six hydropower stations Kangwon Province built by its own efforts and future plan for creating new capacity of generating electricity, he gave precious instructions to be implemented in building hydropower stations and strengthening the independent economic foundations of the province. He expressed expectation and belief that the people in Kangwon Province would further exert their miraculous might, with which they opened up the clear prospect of solving the electricity problem most essential for developing the economy of their region and improving their material and cultural life, to continue taking the lead in the historic struggle for the victorious advance of the socialist construction of our style. The splendid inauguration ceremony attended by leading officials of the Party and government clearly proved the justness and vitality of the ideas and policies of our Party which calls for vigorously opening up a broad avenue for the comprehensive socialist development on the strength of self-reliance, and served as a meaningful occasion of further inspiring self-confidence that the eternal prosperity is in store for the people when they rely on their own strength and carve out their future by their own efforts.   Kimchi-making Custom with Long History Pyongyang, November 21 (KCNA) -- In the DPRK, November is the season to prepare kimchi for winter. In the country, there are many kimchi factories, such as Hwasong Kimchi Factory, but most of the households are busy making kimchi with lots of whole cabbages and radishes as it is the traditional food of the country. According to historical data, the name of kimchi is said to have originated from the word "Chimchae" meaning a vegetable preserved in salty water, or the word "Kumchae" meaning precious food like gold. Ri Kyu Bo, a famous poet in the period of Koryo (918-1392), says in his poem that pickled radishes are a good side dish in summer and kimchi is eaten during winter. Judging by this, kimchi has been used as a main side dish indispensable to the Korean people's diet since olden times. For a long time, the Korean people have been saying that they can not eat a good meal without kimchi, so they have always been having heavy or light meals with kimchi. During this, they created kimchi-related proverbs, such as "A tree grows on water, man lives on kimchi". Households are now busy pickling cabbages cut into halves, chopping radishes to make hot pickles of the radishes, getting kimchi jars, etc. The neighbours sit around and put hot chopped radishes between heads of the cabbages, which show well the beautiful trait and manner of our people helping and leading one another forward. The DPRK people's custom of making kimchi was registered as one of the world intangible cultural heritages in 2015.   Child Health Day Marked in DPRK Pyongyang, November 21 (KCNA) -- An event took place at the Taedongmun Kindergarten in Central District of the DPRK on Thursday to mark Child Health Day. Present there were members of the Korean Association for Supporting the Children, officials of the Ministry of Public Health and officials and kindergarteners of the units of nursing and upbringing children in Pyongyang. A speaker said at the event that in the country which spares nothing for the rising generations, the healthcare and treatment of children and the contents and methods of nursing and upbringing them are being improved in keeping with the world's development trend, and the institutions for nursing and upbringing children across the country are turning into the cradles of happiness. Then, followed a presentation on the qualitative development of the growth of children and vaccination of children. That day the participants enjoyed a congratulatory performance given by the children of Taedongmun Kindergarten.
