National Flag-raising and Oath-taking Ceremony Held to Mark Constitution Day

Pyongyang, December 28 (KCNA) -- A national flag-raising and oath-taking ceremony took place at the Mansudae Assembly Hall on Dec. 27 to mark Constitution Day of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, amid the struggle of the year 2025 for the country's comprehensive prosperity and development which has resulted in signal successes and patriotic enthusiasm of all the people remarkably soaring to greet the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea as the one of victory and glory.

Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, attended the commemorative event.

Present there were members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK and other leading officials of the Party and the government, officials of the Party Central Committee, senior officials of the Cabinet, ministries, national agencies and armed forces organs, officials of judicial and public prosecutors offices and those of power organs in Pyongyang Municipality.

The guard of honor of the Korean People's Army lined up at the venue for the commemorative ceremony.

All the participants paid high tribute to the national flag associated with the history of heroic struggle and the brave spirit of Juche Korea, which has firmly defended the dignity and honour of the country and the people and brought about the era of great changes by holding fast to the genuine people's code, the great political constitution, as a powerful weapon for the state development and invariably embodying its noble principles and ideals.

The glorious national flag was hoisted.

The venue was full of ardent desire to devote all wisdom and enthusiasm to the glorious and worthwhile struggle for the prosperity of the country in the stirring era when the great ambition and strong aspiration to lead the whole world by dint of the iron will fostered by the truth are being translated into reality.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un made a commemorative oath to mark Constitution Day of the DPRK.

Led by the head of state, the participants solemnly vowed before the national flag to dedicate themselves to glorifying forever the greatness and beauty of the country by always remaining faithful to promoting the people's well-being and the growth and development of the state, thoroughly defending the Constitution of the Republic, strictly carrying on their legal obligations, firmly defending the socialist ideal and system and staying faithful to the beloved motherland as responsible members who defend the sovereignty of the DPRK and the interests of the Korean people and serve the state and the people.

All the participants were full of enthusiasm to fully discharge their responsibility and duty entrusted by the people on the forefront of implementing the historic sacred cause so as to legally and firmly guarantee the comprehensive rejuvenation and development of our state by applying the original idea of the great Comrade  Kim Jong Un on establishing the people-first law and to consolidate the country into a socialist paradise, where the ideal of the people has been realized, and into an invincible fortress that no one in the world dares provoke.

 

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Meets with Labor Innovators and Meritorious Persons

Pyongyang, December 28 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, met and had a photo session with labor innovators and meritorious persons invited to the celebrations of Constitution Day of the DPRK and the New Year at the Mansudae Assembly Hall on Dec. 27.

When the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un appeared at the venue for the photo session, stormy cheers of "Hurrah!" shook the venue.

All the participants were greatly excited to meet Kim Jong Un on the platform of dream-like happiness with great pride and honor of being the labor innovators and meritorious persons representing the victorious and glorious year of 2025.

Kim Jong Un expressed thanks to the patriotic devotion of the labor innovators and meritorious persons, as a token of his warm encouragement to them, for making contributions to glorifying the significant year of 2025 as the one of a great turn to be specially recorded in the history of the development of the Republic by dedicating their pure conscience to the rejuvenation and prosperity of the country.

He said that the country is prospering and our cause is dynamically advancing without a moment's stagnation, thanks to the well-known and unsung patriots who devote their diligent and sincere efforts to the work at their workplaces and posts, placing their obligations above the rights of citizens granted by the Constitution of the DPRK.

Saying that the Party and the government firmly believe in and exclusively rely on high patriotic enthusiasm of the people in the historic struggle for the overall development of socialist construction, he expressed expectation and belief that the participants would continue to creditably play their role as the vanguard and standard-bearers of the times, and had a photo session with them.

He met the women footballers and coaches who won the first place in the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, and had a photo taken with them, wishing them greater successes in the future.

When the photo session was over, the participants broke into enthusiastic cheers again.

They vowed to firmly trust and follow the WPK single-mindedly and devote their all to the prosperity of the DPRK, regarding the great love and trust shown by him as their eternal lifeblood.

 

Unsan Paper Mill Inaugurated in South Phyongan Province

Pyongyang, December 29 (KCNA) -- At the time when the cheers of inaugurations celebrating the steady achievements of the regional development policy are stirring up the whole country with the exciting echoes in 2025, a modern paper mill was built in South Phyongan Province to greet the auspicious event of inauguration pioneering another new sphere for putting the regional industry on an advanced basis.

The paper mill, which has been built in Unsan County of South Phyongan Province as a model one according to the Workers' Party of Korea's decision to build a paper production base in all provinces capable of satisfying their demand, will mass-produce paper for writing, packing and toilet and other paper products.

The paper mill, built in Unsan County of South Phyongan Province, was inaugurated with due ceremony on Dec. 28.

Present at the ceremony were leading officials of the Party, government and armed forces organs and other members of the central leadership body of the Party, officials of ministries and national agencies, officials of South Phyongan Province and Unsan County, working people, employees of the mill and scientists and technicians of the State Academy of Sciences.

Ri Il Hwan, secretary of the Central Committee of the WPK, delivered an inaugural address.

He warmly congratulated the scientists and technicians, builders of the province and workers of various enterprises on having successfully built the mill of weighty significance in developing the paper industry of Korean style and satisfying the country's long-term demand for paper.

He said that under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Un, who gave detailed guidance to the design and layouts of the structure and sent sci-tech force so that the professional and functional character as a paper production mill was ensured, the construction of the Unsan Paper Mill had been pushed forward with confidence from the beginning and it took on full appearance as a comprehensive production base.

The speaker noted that Kim Jong Un visited the mill ahead of its inauguration to encourage and highly appreciate the scientists and technicians for contributing to the development of paper industry of the country and stressed the need to steadily develop the papermaking method and technology of Korean style, adding that his instructions served as an important guideline for putting the paper industry on a definite development stage.

He said that the officials and working people in the province, entrusted with a task for building a paper mill by the Party, dynamically launched the collective innovation movement to finish the construction work in a qualitative way and manufacture and install a lot of equipment, thus creating a model for the whole country in implementing the Party's policy on developing the regions and improving the people's living standards under the uplifted banner of self-reliance. He also noted that our scientists and technicians have achieved proud successes in establishing a new paper production technology, which the Party attaches importance to, with the extraordinary pioneering spirit and enthusiasm for creation.

The speaker called for continuously making strenuous efforts to successfully carry out the regional revolution most urgent in improving the people's standard of living and realizing the comprehensive state development, saying that the regional development is a sacred undertaking to steadily transform our life and environment into a high stage of modernity and progressive nature.

He appreciated that the paper-manufacturing technology, capable of turning out various products with several species of wood and locally available raw materials, was introduced and a new mill of great economic efficiency and profitability was completed to provide a model experience for other provinces to build paper mills by themselves.

He said that the decision of the Party Central Committee to establish the paper industry in each province is a correct one as it embodied the principle of obtaining optimum results in construction and accurately reflected the present situation and economic potential of the regional areas.

Saying that we should maintain the clear goal and orientation of our-style papermaking method based on locally available raw materials and the development of papermaking technology in meeting the demand for paper essential in all fields such as science and technology, education and cultural life, he stressed the need for the mill to ensure the efficiency and sustained growth of production and thoroughly guarantee the quality of products by managing equipment and manpower and improving technical control in a responsible manner.

He clarified the principled issues to be adhered to in the construction of paper mills to be expanded and promoted on a nationwide scale on the basis of the experience gained in the construction and operation of the Unsan Paper Mill.

He highly praised the scientists and technicians of the Paper Engineering Institute of the State Academy of Sciences for greeting the Ninth Congress of the WPK with proud successes.

Going round the mill, the participants in the inauguration ceremony keenly felt the indefatigable efforts of the great father, who is devoting himself to implementing the regional development policy to realize the desire of the people, and were convinced of the hopeful future of the country to be further thriving under his benevolent care.

 

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Oversees Long-range Strategic Cruise Missile Launching Drill

Pyongyang, December 29 (KCNA) -- A long-range strategic cruise missile launching drill was staged in the West Sea of Korea on Dec. 28.

The launching drill was aimed at checking the counter-offensive response posture and combat capability of long-range missile sub-units, making missile soldiers well versed in maneuver and procedures of fulfilling firing missions and inspecting the reliability of the relevant strategic weapon system.

Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, oversaw the strategic cruise missile launching drill.

The strategic cruise missiles flew along the flight orbit set in the sky above the West Sea of Korea for 10 199s and 10 203s to hit the target.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un expressed great satisfaction, saying that the result of the launching drill is a practical verification and clear demonstration of the absolute reliability and combat readiness of our strategic counterattack capability.

He stressed that checking the reliability and rapid response of the components of the DPRK's nuclear deterrent on a regular basis and steadily demonstrating their might are just a responsible exercise of the right to self-defense and war deterrence under the present situation in which the DPRK is facing various security threats.

He affirmed that the Workers' Party of Korea and the DPRK government would as ever devote all their efforts to the unlimited and sustained development of the state nuclear combat force.
