Outstanding Commander Makes an Invincible Army and Dignified Power
Today, our revolutionary armed forces are rising high on this planet as the most powerful one having possessed of an irresistible force which no other force would dare to provoke. They are safeguarding the dignity and security of our people and the state in the most reliable manner and on the highest level in the present world rife with tyranny and high-handedness.
This reality clearly proven in practice and by action to the world is unthinkable apart from December 30, 2011, the day when we upheld in high esteem the peerless brilliant commander General Kim Jong Un as the Supreme Commander of the DPRK armed forces.
Our self-defensive revolutionary armed forces were able to develop into the most powerful elite force in the world as we have in the lead the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, the greatest-ever general with the most superb personality and qualification as a brilliant commander.
In today’s world where the logic of power prevails, the dignity and security of the state and people and true peace can only be guaranteed by the powerful self-defense capabilities that can overwhelm any enemy.
It is true that all the states and people on this planet are desirous of possessing powerful self-defense capabilities and living a peaceful, happy and dignified life. But this is not something which is attainable because one wishes or hopes to have it.
It is a great historic achievement which is only possible only when one has an outstanding leader.
With his gifted military wisdom and extraordinary art of command as well as iron will and pluck, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un developed our revolutionary army into a politico-ideologically powerful unit which is absolutely loyal and obedient to the ideology and leadership of the Party, and a matchless strong army possessed of the mightiest absolute weapons such as ICBM of new type, hypersonic missile, long-range strategic cruise missile, SLBM etc. With this invincible army, he resolutely prevailed over the imperialistic tyranny and marked a new turning point in the building of a powerful state where the absolute national prestige of the state and the dignity of our people are safeguarded at the highest level by means of powerful force.
That is why the world press also stint no words in praising Comrade Kim Jong Un, saying: “As the supreme commander of armed forces, Kim Jong Un has superior stratagem, outstanding military wisdom and insight as well as steel-strong courage and valor.”, “The reality of the DPRK makes me realize that even a small country with a great leader can become a great one, and can advance straightforward along the road of independence and military power.”, “The Korean people have become ever stronger. No imperialist country can now cry for use of force against the DPRK.”
Behind a great outstanding commander, there is an invincible army and a dignified power.
The entire army and people follow with their hearts and the world looks up to the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un, the ever-victorious iron-willed commander and the outstanding general, who is on his way to achieving the great cause of enriching and strengthening the country, while opening up a great heyday in increasing national capabilities. Holding him in high esteem as the supreme commander of the armed forces of our Republic, we will only keep recording the history of a great dignified power on this land.
In the Days of Strengthening Revolutionary Armed Forces
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, supreme commander of the armed forces of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, has put his heart and soul into strengthening the armed forces of the Republic.
To Be Strong in Ideology and Faith
At a meeting of information officials of the entire army one day in March Juche 102 (2013), Kim Jong Un said what we believe in was not the modern military hardware, but the dear rank-and-file soldiers and the indomitable mental strength of the soldier masses, stressing the need to steadily improve and intensify the ideological work of the Korean People’s Army and usher in a golden age of building up the military might.
When the meeting was over, he earnestly told the KPA commanding officers that the KPA should fire an opening salvo of an ideological campaign. In other words, it should raise a hot wind of ideological education, he added.
The KPA is fully demonstrating its might as the army strongest in ideology and faith and an invincible revolutionary army thanks to the energetic leadership of Kim Jong Un who brings up KPA service personnel to be strong in their ideas and faith and mental strength by giving definite priority to ideological education over all other types of work.
Match-for-a-hundred Elite Ranks
Guiding the actual manoeuvres of sub-units of the KPA one day in August Juche 103 (2014), Kim Jong Un said as follows: An army fighting well cannot be imagined without training and if training is neglected even for a moment as the gunfire of war is not heard—this can cause irretrievable consequences when the day of war comes.
He then underlined the need to always think of the battlefield and implement to the letter the training-first policy of the Workers’ Party of Korea, bearing in mind that training is precisely the army and its first task, and to prepare all the KPA service personnel into a match-for-a-hundred versatile combatants who are ready for different services and arms.
Today, the KPA has grown up into invincible ranks whom no formidable enemy dares provoke to give full play to its might.
Architect of the People’s Joy
One day in December Juche 108 (2019), Kim Jong Un cut a ribbon to inaugurate the Yangdok Hot Spring Resort.
He expressed great satisfaction as he looked round different places of the resort.
That day he was very pleased to provide the people with a new hot spring culture, hot spring civilization, and he was more pleased that the KPA soldiers have created such civilization with their own hands, he noted. The KPA has done another proud job for the people and discharged its obligation as creators of the people’s happiness and pioneers of high civilization, he added, bestowing his great affection for and trust in it.
Korean-Nation-First Spirit Fully Displayed This Year
Pyongyang, December 27 (KCNA) -- This year too, the people of the DPRK have further displayed the superiority of the nation in every sphere of social life, braving manifold difficulties and ordeals.
Merry tunes of folk songs reverberated in various performances, including the Lunar New Year Performance and the grand performance in celebration of the 74th founding anniversary of the DPRK which were held in the presence of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.
A peasant dancing party of agricultural workers and members of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea celebrating the Day of the Shining Star, the birthday of Chairman Kim Jong Il, was held at the Chonsam Farm in Anbyon County of Kangwon Province and delightful peasant dances were displayed in farm villages across the country with housewarming parties as an occasion to fully show the life of the Korean people glorifying the superior tradition of the nation.
National sports events, including the Lunar New Year's Day Riding Competition-2022 and the 18th Grand Bull Prize National Ssirum Contest, were conducted to give pleasure to the people.
The 10th Cooking Competition marking the Day of the Shining Star and cooking competitions held in every province served as an important occasion in developing the traditional food culture of the Korean nation.
Meanwhile, newly discovered were historical relics of national treasure at Mts Myohyang and Kumgang, a carved Buddhist image in Chongjong-ri, Unjon County of North Phyongan Province, a cave relics dating back to the Paleolithic Age in Rimgyong Workers' District of Kangdong County, Pyongyang City, and the mausoleum of the 25th king of Koryo in Haeson-ri of Kaesong City.
Under the Party's national cultural heritage protection policy, a museum was built in the Rangnang area of Pyongyang to intensively show the time-honored history and brilliant culture of the Korean nation and a folklore park appeared in Ryonggang County of Nampho City.
"Pyongyang Raengmyon Custom" was registered as a representative intangible cultural heritage of mankind, a culture related with Phungsan Dog, the national dog of the DPRK, as a national intangible cultural heritage and Kyongsong Tangogi-soup of North Hamgyong Province as a regional intangible cultural heritage.
National costume was also positively encouraged.
Indeed, this year was a proud year in which the Korean-nation-first spirit had been fully displayed among the Korean people as never before and vigor and vitality prevailed over the whole society.
Miracle to Be Specially Recorded in World History of Health
Pyongyang, December 30 (KCNA) -- This year, the DPRK brought about a miracle to be specially recorded in the world history of health by guiding to victory the emergency anti-epidemic campaign to protect the lives of the people under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).
The DPRK, which set the world's record in the history of anti-epidemic work by preventing the inroads of the global pandemic for two years and three months, put an end to the malignant epidemic crisis in the short period of 90 days under the most difficult conditions this year and thus restored stability in the anti-epidemic work and turned the whole country into a clean, virus-free zone again.
The victory in the combat against the malignant virus crisis is a precious fruition of the prominent leadership and self-sacrificing love and devotion of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who steered the unprecedented great anti-epidemic war on the forefront for protecting the people.
He convened the 8th Meeting of the Political Bureau of the 8th Central Committee of the WPK in May when the virus made inroads into the country, and set forth timely and concrete anti-epidemic guidelines for converting the state anti-epidemic system into the maximum emergency anti-epidemic system and eliminating the spread source of the virus in the shortest possible time.
He acquainted himself with the supply of medicines and issued, at a consultative meeting of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, a special order of the Central Military Commission of the WPK to immediately stabilize the supply of medicines in Pyongyang City by mobilizing the powerful forces of medics of the Korean People's Army.
In the period, he examined at least 1 770 pieces of documents and convened more than 10 important Party meetings in succession.
He visited the State Emergency Epidemic Prevention Headquarters and indicated the precious guidelines and the clear ways for anti-epidemic work and gave confidence and courage to the officials who were embarrassed by the great national difficulties.
He visited pharmacies in Pyongyang City, where many families of fever cases kept coming and going, to learn in detail about their operation and give instructions on the supply and sale of medicines.
Personally donating reserve medicines prepared by his family to the Party Committee of the Headquarters of the WPK Central Committee, he suggested sending the medicines to a family in difficulty. When an acute enteric epidemic broke out in Haeju City of South Hwanghae Province, he sent medicines prepared by his family to the Haeju City, South Hwanghae Province, Committee of the WPK.
Greatly encouraged by his warm love and devoted efforts, the people of the DPRK dynamically advanced toward the great victory in the anti-epidemic war, overcoming hardships and trials.
This great victory, to be specially recorded in the world history of health, clearly showed once again that the DPRK will surely emerge victorious by dint of the correct political leadership and single-hearted unity no matter what challenges it may face as it has the most prominent leader and its people are closely rallied around the great Party.
Devote Yourself
It was when Choe Sung Jun, deputy director of the Tumour Institute of the Academy of Medical Sciences was conducting outreach health service activities at the February 8 Jiktong Youth Coal Mine several years ago.
One day, a woman supported by her family members came to see him.
She complained she felt heavy in her chest, breathed with difficulty and found it hard to walk. While making an examination, he discovered an abscess in her body. Her lungs were already compressed from the top and there was necrosis in her leg.
He had never seen a case with such a huge tumour in the retroperitoneum even though he specialized in tumour treatment for a long time. He could not be sure how long the patient could survive.
The patient looked at him who was trying to calm himself down and find words to sympathize her, and said earnestly: “Could you help me fulfil my duty to the country as a scientist? I implore you, doctor. Even a bit longer...” He was moved to tears by her appeal that showed her noble civic conscience. He thought to himself: I will cure the patient who devoted her all to increasing coal production and her pure conscience should be protected. He collected himself and said smilingly to the patient that the disease could be treated so that the patient could receive treatment with easy mindset.
First-aid measures and operation plans were discussed in the field consultative meeting which was held instantly and he became the operator himself. The palm-sweating operation lasted for six hours and was finally successful. The patient who had been in a critical condition recovered her health in over 50 days thanks to the heartfelt sincerity of the medical staff.
His treatment success not just caused a great sensation in the medical circles and but impressed the general public. Not only family members of the patient but many other people sent him letters of thanks. However, the miraculous success was not achieved easily.
It was a product of his painstaking efforts and passion. He has concentrated his efforts in the treatment and research at the institute for over 30 years after graduating from Pyongyang University of Medical Sciences. He spent time trying to possess accurate diagnostic and high operation skills on tumours that appear in several internal organs and parts of body. During that period he once conducted mock operations over a hundred times in one day.
It was not all. He wrote many valuable papers and authored books on tumour treatment research to contribute to the medical development of the country and the promotion of the people’s health.
He leads new-generation researchers with his high medical techniques, ample knowledge and rich experience. He always says to them: People could feel the gratitude of the socialist public health system through the medical workers. You should become true medical workers who could devote your all for the valuable life of human.
Japan’s Plunder of Mineral Resources through “Korean Mining Act”
Japan plundered countless amounts of underground resources of Korea in the period of its military occupation of the country (1905-1945).
A typical example is the pillage by dint of the “Korean mining act”.
Japan surveyed and grasped the distribution of mineral resources of Korea in the early 1910s and cooked up and promulgated the act in December 1915.
The act stipulated that mining right would be conferred on the first applicant, except for specified regions or kinds of minerals.
Through the act, the Japanese imperialists, in anticipation of its monopoly of promising fields and important kinds of minerals on the basis of mine survey data, informed its capitalists in advance of favourable and promising mining areas and encouraged them to submit applications before others, thereby paving the way for the Japanese capitals to monopolize the mining right of major mining fields.
And the act refused foreigners, who were not Japanese, a new mining right and specified the condition that the mining right would be granted on only corporate companies. It stipulated that the mining right, which was already possessed, would be valid even though the new act would come into force, thus confirming and protecting by law the possession of the mining right the Japanese capitalists had already seized. It also said that the “land expropriation act” was applicable to land needed for the establishment of mining right so as to forcibly plunder the land of Korean peasants in the areas selected for the mining right.
The development and management of mines by Koreans were severely limited according to the mining act and Japanese businesses were allowed to plunder natural resources of Korea without limitation.
To take a typical example, Japan monopolized the iron mining industry in Korea and shipped away 1 007 000 tons of iron ore between 1914 and 1918. After starting the war of aggression on the Asian continent and the Pacific war, the Japanese got fiercer in plundering.
According to the underreported statistics of Japan, it took away over 400 tons of gold from Korea in the period of its military occupation.
Although Japan now distorts its crime-ridden history and totally denies its crimes, every sin brings its punishment with it.
