Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Visits Construction Site of Ragwon County Offshore Farm Pyongyang, July 14 (KCNA) - Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, gave field guidance at the construction site of the Ragwon County Offshore Farm on July 13. The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was accompanied by Jo Yong Won, Kim Jae Ryong and other leading officials of the Central Committee of the WPK. He was greeted on the spot by the commanding officers of the units of the Korean People’s Army involved in the construction project and officials of design institutions. Construction of the Ragwon County Offshore Farm has been powerfully pushed forward and entered the final stage according to the regional development policy and plan and direct guidance of the WPK to radically develop offshore farming, which conforms to the natural and geographical features of the country and proved its profitability and prospects, and thus expand and strengthen the economic independence of coastal cities and counties in a sustained way. Kim Jong Un heard the progress of the project in detail. He highly appreciated the efforts of the soldier-builders, who are glorifying every day and month with labour feats through successive offensive, devoting their all to the worthwhile creative struggle for bringing about the future changes in every coastal city and county, true to the decisions of the Eleventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK. He made the rounds of the construction site of the offshore farm. He said that many things have changed beyond recognition in just some months since the construction of the farm started in February, adding that the current practical changes, not in words or letters, fully and visually show the ambitious plan, steadfast will and executive ability of our Party that is determined to powerfully promote regional development. Saying that construction of the modern offshore farms directly planned and pushed forward by the Party Central Committee is an innovative field of creation to reliably guarantee the effective rejuvenation and long-term development of more than 60 coastal cities and counties across the country, he expressed great satisfaction over the fact that the important project to give a fresh impetus to the implementation of the regional development policy, which is getting expanded day by day, is being perfectly pushed forward. He appreciated that the builders have pushed ahead with the project on a high level in good harmony with the environment of the coastal area, while further applying improved modernity, advanced character and originality, not confining themselves to following the past experience, and continued: Construction of offshore farms is a strategic creative undertaking for fundamentally strengthening and developing the material foundations of the development of the regional economy and improvement of the people’s living standards on the basis of the specific environment and economic potentials of relevant areas. So it is necessary to make exact and substantial plans for all their construction projects from a long-term and scientific point of view. It is indispensible to rationally define the grades of the projects on the basis of scientific research and analysis of the populations, economic foundations and marine and ecological environment of the relevant regions properly like other projects for the regional development policy, and push ahead with them in a sustained way. In order to effectively conduct the intermediate- and long-term work of developing and expanding the regional economy across the country on a new basis, it is necessary to give precedence to working out annual plans for the construction of city and county offshore farms in the future struggle stage. He then indicated important orientation to this end. Underscoring the need to build the offshore farms as befitting another stage of revolutionary development in the designing of industrial facilities, he set forth the tasks and principles arising in massively building offshore farms on a nationwide scale, including those of attaching greater importance to economic profitability and effectiveness the more rapidly construction develops, increasing the proportion of afforestation in the sections of dwelling houses in rural areas and applying the most rational and optimized plans in the construction of coastal structures including breakwater. He went round the houses built in the fishermen’s village area. He said that a new phase of development was opened up in the construction of houses that go well with the characteristics of the coastal region, the regional environment became more cultured, and a seaside of paradise, our style of fishermen’s village of paradise, has been born. He said with pleasure that our Party’s cherished desire to present the most beautiful fishermen’s village in the world to the people of Ragwon County on the occasion of the 80th founding anniversary of the WPK is to be realized, adding: The fishermen’s village in Ragwonpho is a proud visual entity of the new phase of development of regional rural culture and our architectural art, which are undergoing a complete change racing against time. It is the firm determination of our Party to turn all coastal areas across the country into seaside of paradise shining with new civilization and new wellbeing enjoyed by the people. The Party’s policy on construction is a policy of constantly aspiring to the new and development, and there should be no absolute model or standard in its establishment and implementation. In order to make our construction work pioneer the future both in name and reality, we should make the most of the already accumulated potential for construction and, at the same time, actively aspire to the advanced ones and wage an uninterrupted struggle. The successes achieved in the construction of the modern marine industrial bases and our-style modern fishermen’s villages are another miracle that can be wrought only by our soldier-builders boundlessly loyal to the cause of the Party and a powerful proof of the validity and might of the policy of our Party, which has set radical changes and steady development in regions as the most important task and carries them out vigorously. Kim Jong Un expressed expectation and belief that the soldier-builders would perfectly unfold in Ragwonpho by the founding anniversary of the WPK characteristic creations for guaranteeing the wellbeing of the regional people forever, a proud socialist paradise, by redoubling their soaring militant enthusiasm and bold strenuous exertions, and thus translate the plan of the Party Central Committee into a brilliant reality. Receiving his militant encouragement and great trust, all the builders took an oath of loyalty to surely set in time a valuable creative example in implementing the Party’s policy on regional development, which can be generalized in and applied to other parts of the country, by making more courageous efforts staking the honour of our army which is absolutely faithful to the orders and directives of the Party Central Committee.
Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Meets Russian Foreign Minister Pyongyang, July 13 (KCNA) - Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, met on July 12 Sergei Lavrov, foreign minister of the Russian Federation, who visited the DPRK to take part in the second strategic dialogue between the foreign ministers of the DPRK and Russia. Present there were Andrei Rudenko, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, and Aleksandr Matsegora, Russian ambassador to the DPRK. The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un gladly received Lavrov and had a talk with him in an atmosphere full of warm and comradely trust. At the talk, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov courteously conveyed the warm greetings of Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin to Comrade Kim Jong Un. Comrade Kim Jong Un expressed deep thanks for it and asked the Russian foreign minister to convey his friendly greetings to the esteemed Comrade Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. The talk widely exchanged the opinions of the leaderships of the two countries on a series of important matters for defending the common core interests by faithfully implementing the agreements made at the historic DPRK-Russia summit talks in June 2024, demonstrating the invincibility and vitality of the future-oriented DPRK-Russia relations in the new era and further developing the comprehensive strategic partnership between the DPRK and Russia, on the items of mutual cooperation in different fields and on the international and regional situations. And it confirmed the consensus of stand. Kim Jong Un said that the two countries share the views on all strategic issues in conformity with the level of alliance, adding that it shows the high strategic level reached by the two countries. He listened to the satisfactory result of the second strategic dialogue between the foreign ministers of the DPRK and Russia and expressed conviction that the coordinated and harmonious diplomatic stands of the two countries to take initiative and proactive attitude towards the radically changing international geopolitical situation would make a positive contribution to ensuring peace and security in the region and the rest of the world. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov explained his impressions of the strategic communication held between the diplomatic fields of the DPRK and Russia, and expressed the stand to further intensify the strategic and tactical cooperation and concerted action between the Russian Federation and the DPRK in the international arena. Kim Jong Un reaffirmed that the DPRK is ready to unconditionally support all the measures taken by the Russian leadership as regards the eradicating of the root cause of the Ukrainian crisis, in keeping with the spirit of the inter-state treaty between the DPRK and Russia in the future, too. Clearly expressed at the talk was the will of the leaderships of the two countries to closely support and cooperate with each other in the journey for thoroughly safeguarding the core interests of the two countries, powerfully promoting the comprehensive expansion and development of bilateral ties and guaranteeing endless wellbeing of the peoples and their bright future irrespective of any change in situation in conformity with the spirit of the treaty on comprehensive strategic partnership. Expressing firm belief that the Russian army and people would surely win victory in accomplishing the sacred cause of defending the dignity and fundamental interests of their country and achieving the prosperity of the Russian Federation under the outstanding leadership of President Putin, Kim Jong Un sincerely hoped that only victory and glory are always in store for the great Russia.
Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Visits Kumsusan Palace of Sun Pyongyang, July 8 (KCNA) - All the people across the DPRK are filled with ardent yearning and boundless reverence for President Kim Il Sung, founding father of socialist Korea and great sage of the revolution, on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of his demise. Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun at 00:00 on July 8. Accompanying him were Pak Thae Song, Choe Ryong Hae and Jo Yong Won, members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, other senior officials of the Party and the government, leading officials of the WPK Central Committee, the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, the Cabinet, commissions and ministries and commanding officers of armed forces organs. A flower basket in the name of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was laid before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il. Also laid were the flower baskets in the name of the WPK Central Committee, the DPRK State Affairs Commission, the Standing Committee of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly and the DPRK Cabinet. Kim Jong Un paid high tribute to the great leaders in front of the statues. At the halls, where the President and the Chairman lie in state, he made a deep bow of best wishes for their immortality. He affirmed that the revolutionary careers and exploits of the President and the Chairman will shine forever along with the eternal prosperity of our socialist state which is successfully realizing the ideals of the people in a comprehensive way, winning victory after victory from one century into the next.
Press Statement by Chief of Policy Office of DPRK Ministry of National Defence Pyongyang, July 13 (KCNA) -- The chief of the Policy Office of the Ministry of National Defence of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Sunday issued the following press statement titled "The U.S.-Japan-ROK military nexus threatening regional peace should be closely watched and deterred": Recently, the U.S.-Japan-ROK's military cooperation and joint military actions have been conducted periodically with more threatening nature. They are the main danger factors heightening the level of the military tension on the Korean peninsula and in its vicinity. On July 11, the U.S., Japan and the ROK waged a provocative tripartite joint air drill by mobilizing various kinds of combat bombers including the strategic bomber "B-52H" in the sky over the Korean peninsula and its vicinity. On the same day, they held a meeting of the chairpersons of the U.S.-Japan-ROK joint chiefs of staff to openly reveal their attempt to further accelerate the tripartite military cooperation targeting the DPRK and other regional countries. We express serious concern over their hostile acts of persistently conducting provocative and threatening military actions while deliberately ignoring the security concern of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and strongly warn of the grave consequences to be entailed by them on the regional situation. This year the U.S. is continuously posing a danger to the security environment of our state while renewing the records in the number of deploying strategic strike means on the Korean peninsula and drastically increasing the frequency and scale of joint military drills with its satellite countries. The U.S. strategic bombers, stealth fighters and various air reconnaissance assets are being massively deployed at U.S. military bases in Japan and the ROK and the U.S. secretary of Defense, the secretary of Navy, the transportation commander and other military officials appeared in the vicinity of the Korean peninsula to fan up confrontation hysteria. The U.S.-Japan-ROK tripartite military cooperation is getting more offensive. The serious development in which the military alliances between the U.S. and Japan and between the U.S. and the ROK have completely changed into a nuclear-based triangular military alliance and the tripartite military cooperation is being promoted in all spheres heralds the fact that the long-running instability and tension on the Korean peninsula can lead to an unpredictable phase of military confrontation at any moment. Irresponsible acts of the U.S., Japan and the ROK steadily heightening the level of tension and danger on the Korean peninsula should be closely watched and deterred. We clearly recognize that the attainment of the reliable and overwhelming military capability is the most realistic way to deter the practical application of the doctrine of "peace through strength" pursued by the U.S. and neutralize the joint military action plan of the U.S., Japan and the ROK. It is our just sovereign right to take countermeasures against provocative military actions such as the moves to strengthen the multilateral military alliance threatening the security of the region and the joint military drills with clear aggressive character. Our armed forces are in constant military preparedness to check the collective provocations by the U.S. and its vassal forces, deter their aggressive attempt and effectively cope with war acts. The Democratic People's Republic of Korea will more clearly express its invariable stand that it will never tolerate any slightest act which exerts a negative influence on the security environment of the state with its practical military counteraction and continue to take responsible measures to defend the sovereignty and security interests of the state.
Press Statement on Second Strategic Dialogue between DPRK and Russian Foreign Ministers Released Pyongyang, July 13 (KCNA) -- A press statement on the second strategic dialogue between the foreign ministers of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Russian Federation was issued on July 12. The press statement says: The second strategic dialogue between Choe Son Hui, foreign minister of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and Sergei Lavrov, foreign minister of the Russian Federation, took place in Wonsan on July 12 at a time when the bilateral relations are developing into the comprehensive and forward-looking invincible alliance under the strategic guidance of the heads of states of the two countries. The strategic dialogue between the DPRK and Russian foreign ministers discussed in depth the immediate practical issues arising in accelerating the dynamic development of the DPRK-Russia relations in line with the plan and intention of the heads of states. It reaffirmed the firm will to faithfully implement the spirit and overall articles of the treaty on comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries and thus turn the long-standing DPRK-Russia relations with tradition into the eternal strategic relations. Both sides expressed once again the stand to further intensify the strategic communication and cooperation for defending the state sovereignty, territorial integrity and international justice while boosting mutual cooperation in the international arenas. The Russian side resolutely opposed any attempt to deny the present position of the DPRK as regards the situation on the Korean peninsula and expressed its firm support for the DPRK side in its just efforts for defending the security of the state and the sovereign right. The DPRK side expressed full sympathy and support for all the measures taken by the Russian government to remove the root cause of the Ukrainian conflict and defend its national sovereignty, security interests and territorial integrity. The exchange of views on major international issues confirmed that the judgments of the two sides on the present complicated international situation are unanimous and agreed to coordinate the common stand while further heightening vigilance against the hostile forces' hegemony-oriented moves for aggression getting more undisguised worldwide and boosting strategic communication. The DPRK and Russian foreign ministers agreed to continue exchange of views between the foreign policy organs of the two countries, including ministerial strategic dialogue. The 2026-2027 exchange plan was signed between the DPRK Foreign Ministry and the Russian Foreign Ministry after the strategic dialogue. The second strategic dialogue between the DPRK and Russian foreign ministers serves as a significant occasion in expanding and developing the bilateral relations in an all-round way and strengthening the strategic and tactical cooperation and support and solidarity between the two countries in line with the new inter-state treaty.
