Press Statement of Kim Yo Jong, Vice Department Director of C.C., WPK

Pyongyang, January 13 (KCNA) -- Kim Yo Jong, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, made public the following press statement "Pipe dream can never change the current situation of the DPRK-ROK relations" on January 13:

I saw the ROK Ministry of Unification commenting on my statement on Tuesday. It said that there exists room for "communication" and "détente".

What a poor one it is.

In conclusion, it has already gone wrong in their expectation.

As far as Seoul's various hope-filled wild dreams called "repair of DPRK-ROK relations" are concerned, they all can never come true.

The chief executive is so busy with his solicitation diplomacy abroad and the authorities are going so earnest to pretend that they are to show goodwill, harboring a daydream. But the present address of the DPRK-ROK relations can never change.

Actually, the ROK has committed a grave provocation by infringing upon the sovereignty of the DPRK recently.

This is just the deed done by the enemy only.

I make it clear once again to the hooligans of the enemy state.

The Seoul authorities should admit and apologize for having violated the sovereignty of the DPRK and take a measure for preventing reoccurrence.

They should not forget that if such provocation of encroaching upon the inviolable sovereignty of the DPRK is repeated, they will be forced to pay the price they cannot deal with.

This is not a mere rhetorical threat or extension of a wordy war.

Our reaction to the infringement on sovereignty and our will to defend the sovereignty will not be confined to the proportional response or announcement of our position.

 

Press Statement of Permanent Representative of DPRK to UN

Pyongyang, January 13 (KCNA) -- Kim Song, permanent representative of the DPRK to the UN, issued the following press statement on Jan. 13:

Another unusual meeting was convened in the UN arena today, undermining and sacrificing the sacred name and noble mission of the UN, a signpost and an absolute symbol of justice and equality.

The retaliatory blow of Russia was called into question.

The emergency meeting of the UN Security Council convened under Ukraine's unilateral claims never means the international support for the appeal of a "victim".

It is just an extension of the customary practice of the Western cavilers who used to groundlessly slander the just exercise of the right to self-defence of a sovereign state.

The target of denunciation and rejection is the Kiev authorities who committed illegal military terrorist attacks on Russia and those forces who actively patronized them.

I express serious concern and strongly denounce and reject the shameless acts of Ukraine which covered up its heinous terrorism against Russia and took issue with Russia over its legitimate measures against it.

The Ukrainian crisis was obviously caused by the confrontation policy of the U.S. and the West which have violated Russia's reasonable and legitimate security interests and escalated NATO's eastward advance.

The responsibility for all the incidents lies entirely with the parties who created the preconditions for them.

The terrorist act targeting the absolute sovereignty of a country can never be justified, and retaliation of justice can never be demonized by any assertion.

The use of military means by the armed forces of the Russian Federation is an expression of its absolute will not to tolerate threats to its national sovereignty and a just exercise of the right for defending its legitimate rights and interests.

Consistent and invariable is the DPRK's stand to fully support the just cause of the Russian Federation for defending the national sovereignty, territorial integrity, security and interests.

The international community should heighten vigilance over the West's sinister attempt to turn black and white, distort the facts and change the victim and perpetrator, and should make responsible efforts to defend genuine international justice, peace and stability.
