U.S.-South Korea Combined Air Drill
Pyongyang, November 7 (KCNA) -- A report of the General Staff of the Korean People's Army on its military operations corresponding to the Vigilant Storm, the U.S.-south Korea combined air drill, was issued.

The serious situation prevailing on the Korean peninsula due to the reckless military hysteria of the U.S. and south Korea is now moving toward the more unstable confrontation.
Vigilant Storm, the largest-ever U.S.-south Korea combined air drill, was staged in south Korea from Oct. 31 to Nov. 5 with hundreds of fighters of different missions involved, including nuclear strategic bombers.
The large-scale combined air drill is, in fact, an open provocation aimed at intentionally escalating the tension in the region and a dangerous war drill of very high aggressive nature directly targeting the DPRK.
Intolerable and unpardonable are all the recent challenging moves of the U.S. and south Korea staging military drills for aggression on a large scale.
In order to demonstrate the thoroughgoing and resolute will to counter the grave situation and the clear self-confidence in the military capabilities of the armed forces of the DPRK and to inspire the officers and men of the Korean People's Army, filled with their resolute retaliatory will, with the conviction of sure victory, the General Staff of the KPA conducted the following corresponding military operations from Nov. 2 to 5:
Simulating the strike on the enemy's air force base in the morning of the first day of the operations, missile units in North Phyongan Province fired four tactical ballistic missiles loaded with dispersion warheads and underground infiltration warheads at a desert island off the West Sea Barrage, and in the morning and afternoon the anti-aircraft missile units of the air force on the east and west coastal areas fired 23 ground-to-air missiles while staging an exercise to annihilate air targets at different altitudes and distances.
Claiming that a DPRK's missile dropped near the "territorial waters" of south Korea that afternoon, the enemy fired in return air-to-surface guided missiles and gliding guided bomb at the open sea of the DPRK side. Corresponding to this rash act, the KPA fired two strategic cruise missiles with the shooting range of 590.5 km at the open sea around 80 km off the coast of Ulsan City of south Korea (35°29′51.6" latitude and 130°19′39.6" longitude) from North Hamgyong Province.
At the request of the Academy of Defence Science on the second day of the operations, the KPA conducted important test-fire of ballistic missile to verify the movement reliability of a special functional warhead paralyzing the operation command system of the enemy. And it fired five super-large multiple launch missiles and tactical ballistic missiles of various missions and 46 long-range multiple launch missiles into the East Sea as part of its counteraction to smash the enemies' persistent war hysteria.
On the third day of the operations, a large-scale all-out combat sortie operation of the air force with 500 fighters of various missions involved was conducted for 3 hours and 47 minutes in order to show the will to counter the combined air drill of the enemy.
Simulating a strike on the enemy's air force base on the fourth day of the operations, the KPA fired again two tactical ballistic missiles loaded with dispersion warheads and two super-large multiple launch missiles at a desert island off the West Sea Barrage.
All the corresponding military operations have successfully achieved the planned purposes and the high performance of the KPA operations has been satisfactorily assessed.
Through the operations, the armed forces of the DPRK fully responded to the enemy's combined air drill, increased its self-confidence in neutralizing the "theory of superiority" of the enemy air force, perfectly confirmed the confident military posture and capability of the KPA and further hardened its absolute corresponding will.
The recent corresponding military operations by the KPA are a clear answer of the DPRK that the more persistently the enemies' provocative military moves continue, the more thoroughly and mercilessly the KPA will counter them. This is the principle and direction of action of the DPRK's armed forces in the future, too.
The KPA General Staff once again clarifies that it will continue to correspond to all the anti-DPRK war drills of the enemy with the sustained, resolute and overwhelming practical military measures.

Many cosmetics factories have been built in every part of our country as well under the warm love of the great men who are determined to make our people most beautiful in the world. These factories are producing a large quantity of high-quality cosmetics that satisfy the ever-increasing demand for civilization and give our women lofty, graceful and elegant beauty that is peculiar to the Korean woman.
“Unhasu” (galaxy) is one of our women’s favorite cosmetics brands.
In February 2015, respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited Pyongyang Cosmetics Factory.Saying that he would help to completely change the appearance of the factory into a world-level modernized one, he gave detailed guidance on the design of logo and trademark as well as on the blueprint for the factory’s reconstruction.He also took measures for the formation of strong construction and sci-tech forces and for the supply of building materials.
This does not end here. In order to widen the insight of officials and workers of the factory, he sent them many cosmetics of world famous brands.
On October 28, 2017, he visited again Pyongyang Cosmetics Factory which was newly rebuilt.
He was so pleased to see a wide variety of cosmetics with high quality and nice containers and package boxes produced by the factory. He proudly said that he could realize our women’s dream to become more beautiful and that he was so glad to think of our women and our people who will be so happy receiving these cosmetics.
On that day, he gave a clear answer to the issues arising in the production of cosmetics, including the issue of putting the production process on a germ-free and dust-free basis, the issue of diversifying the cosmetics as the consumer group is increasing steadily from women to men, young people, and old people, as well as the issue of producing more cosmetics that can compete with the world.
Under such meticulous guidance and care of the fatherly leader, Pyongyang Cosmetics Factory has now turned into a model and standard for the country’s cosmetics factories which produces in large scale a wide variety of best-quality cosmetics including skin protection cosmetics and other functional cosmetics, make-ups, hairdressing and cleansing cosmetics.
In 2019, 25 kinds of “Unhasu” cosmetics were certified by the Eurasia Economic Union.
People, looking at our women who are happy to buy fragrant “Unhasu” cosmetics at the department store, cannot refrain from thinking with deep emotion the world of love and devotion made by respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to make women’s beauty more graceful.
Our women will become more beautiful together with “Unhasu” cosmetics and their beauty will add to the families and the society optimism, emotion and confidence in future.
Japan’s Crimes Against Humanity Can’t Be Passed Unmentioned
The great Kanto earthquake of September 1, 1923, caused by movements in the earth’s crust, imposed on the Korean people man-made calamities which are far more devastating than that of an earthquake itself.
At the time, the earthquake measuring 7.9 on the Richter scale caused fire and other disasters. The Kanto area with Tokyo at its center was devoured by flames and reduced to ruins. The earthquake also took a heavy toll, with many people being killed and missing.
There was growing public anger. And discontent among the afflicted was at its height as the Japanese government had remained indifferent to take any steps to relieve the damages.
With an evil design to shift the blame for the socio-political turbulence onto Koreans living in Japan, the Japanese imperialists set afloat rumors about “revolt by Koreans” and “incendiary fire by Koreans”, thus instigating mass killings of Koreans.
Even “martial law” was declared as an order of the emperor, whereupon armed groups including the Japanese army, gendarme, and police together with “vigilante corps” and “young people’s corps” butchered Koreans throughout the region in the most savage way possible, which defy description.
Due to the atrocious acts of the Japanese imperialists, 23,000-odd innocent Koreans lost their lives in a period of just over 10 days.
Nearly a century has passed since then, but Japan is still stubbornly negating the sanguinary crimes it committed against the Korean nation and its history of aggression.
This can be well attested to by the fact that Tokyo provincial authorities banned an exhibition from screening the video on the massacre of Koreans during the great Kanto earthquake.
In this connection, the media noted that such a decision by the provincial authorities could have been influenced by the attitude of Governor Koike, saying that there seemed to have been censorship based on the discrimination against the Koreans in Japan.
When asked why the video showing was banned, Governor Koike made double-dealing remarks, saying that the ban was imposed based on the judgement that the video did not suit the purpose of the exhibition. She also said that she had handled the issue of victims of the Kanto earthquake by expressing condolences to all victims.
This was an act of deceiving the bright world and mocking the world people.
Governor Koike, unlike her predecessors, has not sent memorial writing to the annual mourning ceremony for Korean victims at the time of Kanto earthquake since 2017.
The lame excuse of such a person only reveals the true colors of the Japanese reactionaries who connive at and encourage the extreme xenophobia towards the Korean nation among the Japanese society.
That Tokyo Province forbade showing the video about the genocide of the Koreans is obviously part of Japan’s persistent and impudent attempt to deny history, aimed at covering up the inhumane crimes committed by the Japanese imperialists.
There is a saying that ten years are enough to change the mountains and rivers. Even though such a period of ten years’ time passes a hundred times and more, it can never bury the history of the Korean nation’s pent-up grudge against the Japanese imperialists due to their inhumane crimes.
The Japanese authorities had better dispel their pipe dream of hushing up the truth about the genocide of Koreans, and take the road of making thorough apology for it and discharging their liabilities for reparation.
Herein lies the guarantee for the future of Japan.

Patriotic Artists Who Draw the Appearance of Korea
One March day in 2022, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un inspected the construction site of 10 000 flats in the Songsin and Songhwa areas nearing completion.
In front of a semicircular overhead bridge, he said to the officials that the Songsin and Songhwa areas are quite different from Ryomyong Street in the aspects of elevation and layout of buildings, and praised that they have been designed well.
He continued to say that we should make a true turning point in the construction of the capital city from now on, and the more we do construction year after year, the more our architecture develops and brings about renovation, and that this should be recorded in the history of our architecture.
Stressing the need to make exact demands on designing, he said that designers are the very persons who write the history of the Juche-oriented architecture with designs, pacesetters of future and artists who draw the appearance of Pyongyang, the appearance of Korea, in the 22nd century.
In March several years earlier, he inspected the renovated Paektusan Institute of Architecture. He said that it should go ahead of other designing organs, and that in the present era of the Workers’ Party in which it reduces ten years to one by racing against time and everything changes morning and evening, yesterday is just bygone days. Then, he added that it should train designers into patriotic artists who design socialist civilization in the era of the Workers’ Party and the ideals and dreams of people.
That day, he stressed that designers should fully reflect socialist civilization in the era of the Workers’ Party and the ideals and dreams of people in a dot and a line on their designs, under the slogan “Let all designers become patriotic artists!”
Medical Centre for Promotion of Women's Health
Pyongyang, November 3 (KCNA) -- The Breast Tumour Institute of the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital significantly greets the tenth anniversary of the General Secretary Kim Jong Un's field guidance to it. The institute is making a positive contribution to the promotion of women's health and the preventive and curative medical care for them.
On Nov. 3, Juche 101 (2012), the General Secretary visited the newly-built institute to give instructions on ensuring the scrupulous management and operation of its equipment and putting the prevention and treatment of breast diseases and the scientific research into them on a high level.
The institute has been turned into a modern medical centre and a scientific research centre under the care of Kim Jong Un who sent the institute hi-tech medical equipment, LCD TVs and refrigerators as gifts.
Over the past years, its medical workers have devoted all their sincerity to the treatment and prevention work. They established a system of routine medical examination for women and positively developed and introduced advanced diagnosis and treatment methods so as to improve medical service.
Through telemedicine system, the institute has organized consultative meetings and lectures for medical workers across the country, thus helping them improve their abilities and contribute to curing patients.
