Pyongyang, June 13 (KCNA) -- The Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) Sunday held a meeting at the office building of the WPK Central Committee to discuss major issues of the Party work.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, presided over the meeting.

The Secretariat of the WPK Central Committee discussed importantly the issue of establishing the traits of firmly preserving discipline within the Party and waging a more intensive struggle against unsound and non-revolutionary acts including the abuse of power and bureaucratism revealed among some Party officials.

Clarifying the immediate work and prospective tasks for taking organizational and institutional measures and establishing the efficient work system to further strengthen the Party Central Inspection Commission and intensify the discipline supervision system among the local Party organizations at different levels, including the basic ones, and for putting the norms of supervision, discipline examination and penalty on a more detailed basis, the respected General Secretary called for expanding and strengthening the authority and function of discipline inspection departments for aiding the work of the Inspection Commission, enforcing the strict supervision work system, discipline examination order and stern penalty system in keeping with the legitimate demand of the essence and strengthening of the Party's line of building discipline, and thus thoroughly guaranteeing the realization of the monolithic leadership of the Party Central Committee and the broad political activities of the Party through the strong discipline system.

Saying that it is necessary to prioritize the work for encouraging and raising the high political principle, fighting spirit, revolutionary style and communist moral traits within the organizations of the whole Party to thoroughly carry forward the nature, mission and duty of the revolutionary party and develop the fighting efficiency of the socialist ruling party, he stressed that, to this end, it is essential to push ahead with as an indispensable priority task the work to strictly establish the strong habit of observing the rules and discipline of the Party and the supervision work system and rectification system over the execution of the Party's line and policies and embodiment of sound working style and moral life.

Clarified at the meeting was the important and strategic party-building idea of the General Secretary on regarding the building of the Party's discipline as its prior important task and major line in the party building and activities, more firmly consolidating the Party's foundation, improving the revolutionary and militant efficiency in the Party's political activities and enhancing, improving and strengthening the Party's role and trait.

The Secretariat of the WPK Central Committee decided to take institutional measures for thoroughly applying the original idea and theory of the General Secretary on building the Party's discipline to the Party work and activities.

Affection Grows Stronger Even in A Difficult Time

From the ancient times, it has been said that no sadness is greater than that of orphans.

Sadness of orphans is the one of not having parents. It is a yearning for warm love from parents.

According to recent press report by one country, approximately 200,000 children lost one of their parents due to the pandemic in the U.S. in early April this year. And most of the orphans were not provided with necessary assistance including education, nutrition and human rights protection, resulting in the serious “orphan crisis”.

Conversely, orphans are fully enjoying their happy life as usual in our country, free from sadness of not having parents even under the greatest emergency anti-epidemic system.

In mid-May, vehicles fully loaded with fish arrived in succession at all the baby homes, children’s homes, primary and secondary boarding schools across the country.  Although he was busy leading the anti-epidemic war to victory, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un did not put the orphans out of his mind even for a single moment and took measures of love to provide them with fresh fish, concerned lest they would lose their appetite or not find fish dish even for a meal.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un fathomed the hearts of the orphans yearning for affection than anybody else. He ensured that the Party and state bring them up cheerful and upright in place of their parents. He is showing meticulous attention and care even about their nutrition, to say nothing of their education, health and living conditions.

Thanks to the love of Comrade Kim Jong Un, warmer and greater than that of their real parents, children are growing well in the best conditions and environment being supplied with dairy products, fruits, snacks and fish.

Hence, a Russian Internet homepage posted a following article about the children in the baby homes and children’s homes in our country: “In every country, children without parents have been considered as the beings showing the darkest side of the state and society.

But orphans in the DPRK are enjoying their life receiving all privileges and immunities.

We cannot find even any shadow on the faces of children who are laughing and playing to their hearts’ content free from cares and worries. The future of Korea is really bright.”

People in the capitalist countries are writhing in extreme anxiety and despair as they were faced with orphan crisis as well as with the serious health crisis, unemployment crises, and hard life by the spread of malignant virus. But the windows of baby homes and children’s homes in our country are overflowing with flavor of the sea and the fruit, and the laughter of children.

As we hold up the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, the true father of all the children of the country, their laughter and song will reverberate far and wide on this land.

Children in the DPRK

Whenever they see Kim Jong Un, president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, the children of the country rush to him, calling him father.

There will be no other country in the world, where children call the head of state father.

This is an answer to how Kim Jong Un loves the children.

The following happened in early November 2012, when he visited the People’s Open-Air Ice Rink newly built on the Taedong River that meanders through the central part of the capital city of Pyongyang.

When he entered the ice rink, boys and girls including schoolchildren were skating. After looking at them for a while with a smile on his face, he called some children, and asked them how old they were, whether they liked skating and when they had learned skating. When they answered that they had learned skating only one month ago, he said everyone can skate skilfully like those children if good training grounds and instruments were available. He then patted them on the cheeks.

When he was about to take leave of the children, an unexpected thing happened: a 4-year-old girl rushed to him and said pleadingly, “Please pose for a photo with us, dear Marshal.”

Wearing a smile, Kim Jong Un again stepped on the ice sheet.

All the children in the ice rink gathered around him in an instant. They were all smiles.

Once he remembered the first birth anniversary of the son of an army officer, whom he met during his inspection of an island-defending unit of the Korean People’s Army and sent him a birthday present. When he visited a workers’ family that had moved into a new house, he told their younger son how to draw a good picture; he then waited for a good while for their elder son, who was attending a football group, and met him, and told him to become an excellent footballer.

Stressing that bringing up the children so that they would envy nothing in the world was the core of the policies of the ruling Workers’ Party of Korea and its honourable duty, he said that no revolutionary work was more important for the Party than to bring up the children, the future of the country, to be healthy, and that creating improved childcare conditions even by investing a huge sum of money was the most crucial policy and supreme desire of the Party and the state.

This is how it has become a policy of the ruling Party to provide all the schoolchildren with school uniforms, bags and other school things and all the children with dairy products and other nutritious foodstuffs, all at state expense.

Kim Jong Un pays special attention to orphans.

On June 1, 2014, on his way back from an on-site guidance at an important unit, he visited the Pyongyang Orphanage. When he entered the playing area on the second floor, the orphans recognized him and rushed to him, shouting, “Father!”

Though they were yet to be old enough to express their feelings and emotions in words, they knew that who was bestowing on them parental affection.

Telling them not to make haste or else they might fall down, he embraced them, and asked, patting them on their cheeks, what they had been playing at and what they had eaten that day.

As he was so concerned with orphans, he once calculated on his handbook how much fish would be needed if the orphans across the country could be supplied with fish every day and ensured that a station specializing in catching fish for them was set up.

It is his creed that the loss suffered by the state for the benefit of the rising generations is not a loss, and that the greater the funds defrayed for the children are, the brighter the country’s future is.

The image of the national leader is etched in the hearts of the all the children across the country as the image of their benevolent father.
