Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Inspects Memorial Museum of Combat Feats at Overseas Military Operations under Construction
Pyongyang, March 17 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, gave on-site guidance at the Memorial Museum of Combat Feats at the Overseas Military Operations under construction on March 16.
Accompanying him were the members of the WPK Central Military Commission, senior officials of the Party Central Committee and generals of the Korean People's Army.
He was greeted on the spot by commanding officers of the military units involved in the construction and officials of the designing and creation institutions.
The construction is now under way at 93 percent of the total project.
Going round the interior of the memorial museum, the heroes' cemetery area, the captured weapons exhibition area and other places of the construction site, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un learned about the finishing project and the installation of sculptures and symbolic memorials.
Pointing out some irrational elements of the interior of the memorial museum, he clarified the direction of correcting them and gave detailed instructions on ensuring the highest quality in the finishing project.
He stressed once again the important significance of this construction project, saying that the memorial museum should be an aggregate showing the level of our architecture and fine art creation.
The Memorial Museum of Combat Feats will be inaugurated on the occasion of the first anniversary of the liberation of Kursk, he said, giving an instruction that the service personnel, designers and creators, involved in the noble work for recording in history forever the matchless bravery and mass heroism displayed by our soldiers at overseas military operations, should successfully complete the memorial museum as an immortal sacred sanctuary with the solemn reverence of all the people.
Foreigners and Compatriots in China Visit Polling Stations in Pyongyang
Pyongyang, March 16 (KCNA) -- Diplomatic envoys and staff members of Russian, Swedish, Czech Republic, Polish and Bulgarian embassies here and China-resident Koreans staying in the homeland visited several polling stations in Pyongyang for the election of deputies to the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK on March 15.
At the Sub-constituency No. 77 under the Constituency No. 3, the Sub-constituency No. 39 under the Constituency No. 10 and the Sub-constituency No. 17 under the Constituency No. 22, the visitors came to have a deep understanding of the democratic and people-oriented election system of the DPRK which comprehensively expresses the will of the people and ensures their rights and interests to the maximum in establishing the national sovereignty.
They were deeply moved to see the voters filled with joy at the fact that they have contributed to firmly consolidating the people's power and demonstrating once again the might of the single-minded unity of Juche Korea rallied close around its leader.
Moving into New Houses Started in Saeppyol Street
Pyongyang, March 14 (KCNA) -- Moving into new houses started in Saeppyol Street here.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un recently attended the inauguration ceremony of the new street, which was successfully built in a good place of the Hwasong area as a crystallization of eternal respect and reverence for the war heroes. And he personally gave licenses for the use of the houses to their bereaved families, bestowing great honor on them, and took a benevolent measure to let all of them enjoy a happy life as soon as possible.
The bereaved families, who are to move into modern houses in the capital city under the loving care of the great father, entered the new street amid warm welcome by the commanding officers of the Korean People's Army units and officials in Pyongyang and military-civilian builders engaged in their construction.
Senior Party and government officials including Pak Thae Song, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and premier of the Cabinet of the DPRK, greeted the bereaved families on the spot.
Senior officials of the Party and the government presented bouquets to the bereaved families and warmly congratulated them on moving into new houses. They told the bereaved families about the love and benevolence of Kim Jong Un, saying that he highly values the bereaved families, who instilled ardent patriotism into the war heroes, defenders of the dignity and honor of the country, and inspired them with unyielding strength and courage, and makes efforts to let them enjoy all blessings of socialism before others.
They said that it is the bounden duty of officials and an expression of the moral obligation of the people across the country to the martyrs to take care of the destiny and life of the parents and families of the war heroes with sincerity, adding that they would do their best to make the bereaved families feel the joy of prosperity before others and lead a proud and happy life.
The bereaved families made a pledge of patriotism and loyalty to remain faithful to the ideas and leadership of Kim Jong Un and devote themselves to the prosperity of the country like the heroes who are immortal in the memory of the country and people like a shining star.
