Accompanied by Workers' Party of Korea Central Committee secretaries Jo Yong Won and Pak Tae Sung, he was met on-site by Pak Jong Chon, Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission, along with other military commanders.

In the aftermath of unprecedented rainfall on July 27, which caused the Yalu River to exceed dangerous levels, around 5,000 residents faced the imminent risk of flooding in several areas. Leader KIM JONG UN took personal command of the rescue and evacuation efforts, overseeing the deployment of rescue units and military personnel.

Leader KIM JONG UN's relentless oversight included multiple helicopter flights under challenging conditions to ensure the safe evacuation of residents. The successful rescue of over 200 individuals was met with profound gratitude from the affected populace. Kim Jong Un praised the aviation units for their extraordinary efforts, highlighting their swift and effective response as a testament to the strength and pride of our military.

He called for immediate measures to stabilize the affected areas, ensuring the provision of necessary supplies and support.

Addressing the broader issue, Leader KIM JONG UN stressed the need for rigorous preparedness and proactive measures to mitigate future disasters. He criticized the lack of readiness and the failure to implement effective preventative strategies, calling for enhanced vigilance and accountability among all officials involved in disaster management.
