Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Pays Congratulatory Visit to Sangwon Cement Complex
Pyongyang, March 2 (KCNA) -- The historic Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea unfolded a grand plan to further expand the construction work for the comprehensive development of the state and the promotion of the welfare of the people throughout the country during the new long-term plan and ardently appealed to all the relevant units, including building-materials production bases, to bring about a surge in production, surpassing the one of the past five years.
The Sangwon Cement Complex, which has faithfully repaid the Party's trust with the proud increased cement production decades after decades, is seething with the revolutionary enthusiasm and will to fulfill its honorable mission and vanguard role in the grand struggle for glorifying the ninth term of the Party Central Committee with steady advance and leap forward.
Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, on March 1 paid a congratulatory visit to the Sangwon Cement Complex advancing under the banner of the patriotic movement for increased production and encouraged its workers in the new struggle to implement the decisions of the Party Congress.
He was accompanied by members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau and other senior officials of the C.C., WPK.
All the employees of the complex were filled with great emotion and joy as they came to have the dreamlike honor of receiving the great father, whom they had always desired to meet in the days of making new innovations and new miracles to glorify the era of great transformation, at their complex before others soon after the historic Party Congress.
When the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un arrived, they raised stormy cheers of "Hurrah!"
Looking up to Kim Jong Un, all the participants extended their boundless thanks to him for always placing the workers of the complex before anyone else in his mind and repeatedly bestowing the great trust and love on them so that they can continue to perform feats in the vanguard of the heroic struggle.
Kim Jong Un was courteously greeted by manager Yun Jae Hyok and other leading officials of the complex.
He extended warm encouraging greetings to the workers of the complex full of the extraordinary determination and enthusiasm to uphold the grand construction plan, set forth by the Party Congress, with eye-opening success in the cement production.
Kim Jong Un made a significant speech of encouragement.
Telling his inmost thought to visit the workers of the Sangwon Cement Complex first soon after the Ninth Party Congress, he offered high tribute to the history of development of the Sangwon Cement Complex and all its workers that have maintained an invariable attitude in providing faithful support to our Party’s resolute choice and made a tangible contribution to its implementation over the past five years, the period of really great difficulties, and that have written wonderful records of loyalty and patriotism alone since it went online.
There are a number of large and important enterprises in our country, but none of them has such a group of staunch and militant workers as the Sangwon workers, he said, highly appreciating the 40-odd-year history of the complex in which it has added luster to its name as the powerful enterprise that is able to do anything, in particular, the success of the complex which has strongly supported through practical cement production the Party's plan of achieving remarkable progress and overall upsurge in socialist construction, and opened up the greatest heyday of operation since its inauguration by expanding its production capacity and making ceaseless efforts for increased production, during the years of the eighth term of the Party Central Committee.
Supporting the Party and the country with boundless loyalty, aspiring after unlimited and daring innovation, and consistently prioritizing science and technology--this is the key to the complex's leaping forward and it is a formula for the increasing production achieved by our workers and also for the development of our times, he said. And he affirmed that the soaring patriotic enthusiasm and mettle for increased production, which the Sangwon workers display in making continuous innovation and advance, would constitute an absolute support for our Party's ideology and cause, and that it would be a torch inspiring the whole country to a heroic struggle.
Expressing firm belief that the complex will continue to glorify the honorable history and traditions of Sangwon, which has been a constant source of great strength and reliance for our Party, Kim Jong Un ardently called on all its employees to make dynamic advance, rising up as one again for our great motherland while displaying to the full the Korean people's dauntless spirit and wisdom.
When he finished his speech, all the participants broke into cheers with great excitement, looking up to him who highly appreciated them and expressed great expectation that they would invariably become the standard-bearer in carrying out the new long-term plan.
Kim Jong Un visited the central control room to learn about the cement production.
Praising the complex for registering high production results every month this year, the first year of carrying out the new five-year plan, he said that he still remembers the plenary meeting in December 2024 when the complex pledged before the Party to solve the most pending cement problem through increased production. It is a great encouragement to the Party and the state and their pride to have such warm and sincere patriotic loyalists who are ready to understand the Party's distress and the country's conditions before anyone else and devote themselves to their solution, a large contingent of ardent revolutionaries who regard the Party's plan as just rated capacity and unconditionally translate the Party's determination into reality, he added.
Noting that the complex has a more gigantic task to carry out during the ninth-term of the Party Central Committee and the whole country seething with transformation places its hope on the complex, he stressed that the complex should bring about a dynamic upsurge by dint of self-reliance based on advanced science and technology while giving full play to the inexhaustible spiritual power of the masses in all work in conformity with the immutable truth that the reserves for increased production depends on the mind of producers and as intended by the Party which attaches absolute importance to the ideological resource among the three resources of the revolution.
He had a photo session with the labor innovators, persons of merits and officials in commemoration of his visit to the complex.
When the photo session was over, the participants raised the stormy cheers of "Hurrah!" in reflection of their pledge of loyalty to the great Comrade Kim Jong Un who kindled the flames of vigorous struggle at the complex before others to arouse the whole country to attaining the new long-term goal.
Kim Jong Un kept waving back for a long time to the enthusiastically cheering crowds.
Cherishing the unshakable faith that the trust of the Party Central Committee is the life of the complex, the motive power of increased production and leap forward and the guarantee for sure victory and their heavy responsibility on behalf of the times and the revolution, all the workers, technicians and officials of the complex vowed to work more courageously and vigorously to attain the grandiose goal set forth at the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea, displaying the redoubled strenuous spirit and power of execution.

Pyongyang, March 1 (KCNA) -- A spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK issued the following press statement on Sunday:
Israel's military attack on Iran, launched under the U.S. active support and patronage, and the military action of the U.S. which joined in it are an illegal act of aggression and the most despicable form of violation of sovereignty in their nature from A to Z.
It was fairly predictable that the prolonged U.S military threat to Iran in the region would lead to an actual military invasion and it is a sure logical result of the U.S. hegemonic and rogue nature.
The DPRK condemns in the strongest tone the shameless rogue act of the U.S. and Israel which put their domestic law before the recognized international law and do not hesitate to abuse military muscle in order to realize their selfish and hegemonic ambition.
The U.S. increased acts for hegemony witnessed by the international community this year are an example proving their destructive role destroying global peace and stability and its grave consequences.
The tyranny's high-handed and arbitrary practices free from powerful counteraction and adequate resistance make those countries directly related to the regional situation pay dear price and give rise to concern that they may have a negative effect, which can not be disregarded politically, economically and geopolitically, on the region which has no connection with the present Iranian situation.
The world history highlights again the fact that the U.S. destroyed peace in the Middle East for its hegemonic interests decades ago but met with the geopolitical failure and strategic setback after all.
The unjustifiable war of aggression by the U.S. and Israel can never be tolerated in any case.
The relevant and interested parties in the region would be well advised to correctly grasp the nature of the offenders who chose aggression and war under the pretext of fake peace, and to fulfill their due responsibility in switching the trend in the situation of the Middle East back to peace and stability.
